Anderson looks like he is using half of his sparring power. He was just relaxed the whole time, he used zero aggression and still made the guy look like a chump.
+Kyrie Irving If it's supposed to be light sparring (and I think you're right, that's what it looks like it's supposed to be) someone needs to tell that to the guy training with Silva. That guy went hard more than a couple times.
Gerald Deliva you fucken idiot he is such of great boxer if go in the ring with him i will not have a key to box he moves so quickly change angles so and he punches from anywhere is super hard fight a guy like that..you ever been in a boxing gym a least sparring two 2 minutes rounds i dont think so..
Lmao I love how you were focused on the dude in the speedbag and not the sparring... hilarious and yeah I agree that dude was going beast mode on the speedbag
Notice how relaxed Anderson Silva is. No agression, 30% effort. This is why he is one of the best stand up artists out there, he understands how to train. He emphasizes importance of accuracy and timing. Notice how outclassed the boxer was even though no significant power shots were thrown. Silva was working out his man, slipping, creating angles this is pure genius of striking game. Power is not everything guys, when you spar work with your partner and employ the techniques you learnt in the GYM. Save aggression and 100% pressure for the fight card. Thank you, for the upload I enjoyed watching this vid and learnt a lot from it.
Joe, maybe you are right. I haven't sparred with neither of them. Never the less, Anderson is still enjoying himself in a light spar. Have fun criticising professional fighters
+Mat Mik I am not denying that, but if you pay attention to the focus of my original comment it was about being relaxed in the ring and not trying to take the other guy out.
Geo Gutierrez hater.dude was getting picked apart.Silva was going light.he could of easily knocked him out.easily.he was running crircles around your boy.literaly
if anderson actually trained as a boxer i believe he would be pretty good his defensive and countering capabilities are pretty damn good for an mma fighter
+b6amino remember he is famous in the begining for his muay thai(KO Carlos Newton. by a flying knee , KO Tony Fryklund by a reverse elbow tony fryklund, destroy Rich Franklin in the muay clinch) if he stayed in boxing nobody would noticed him
+Rugby Fan When he was a boxer... He was green... Same way he wasnt the best in MMA... He wasnt the best in boxing... Silva did not mature as soon as put on MMA gloves... He got better with each and every fight and in time, and for about a 10 yr period was unbeatable.
Guys you're looking at it the wrong way, sparring isn't about winning, he's checking his mistakes, calculating how to counter the shots and getting hit in order to correctly measure distance for better head movement. I bet that if silva wasn't just practicing tecnique he would mop the floor with this guy. He's training to fight another guy, he's not fighting this guy, he is only using him as a tool, like a simulation mission.
Some people don't have a clue as to what sparring is about. It's not about dominating your sparring opponent nor knocking him out. It's about sharpening your skills and tightening up any holes you may have in your game. Sparring should always be about learning, sharpening your skills, paying attention to your coach and the person you are sparring with. It's not about going "HARD". Why would a person allow another man to hit him with killer brain damaging punches if he's not getting paid ridiculous amounts of money? This was a good light sparring match.
+roger morales You're right. It is the closest thing to a real fight and getting their conditioning up. That means pressuring your opponent. Making him think and react to all possible situations. Pushing him beyond his current limits/comfort zone. Learning what you can take and what you got to give when you got no more left in you. But it's not about throwing leg breaking kicks, concussion punches, or proving whose the toughest. Your sparring partner is your training partner and not your opponent. Each of you should be focusing on making each other better rather it's conditioning, sharpening skills, or quick thinking. This is how I train my boxers and it paying off. They've been a winning team since I took over and they rarely get hit in the ring. Their offense/defense technique is amazing to watch in real competition.
That's the boxer mentality dude IMO, I dont see this intent to kill at my Muay Thai gym's sparring. Yes do put on the pressure in sparring but don't throw with killer intent, and I believe it makes us relax more during a real fight to not stiffen up and over committing like this dude, who would definitely get KO'D in a real fight
Its easy to see the brotha sparring Anderson is still learning, he is trying his best and he deserves credit for that. He is still developing so you have to be easy with the critisism.Anderson Silva is a WELL experienced fighter, and that is why hes so relaxed and poised.I wish the brotha in reds trainer would teach him the STANDARD boxing style, with both hands protecting your face first! then he can be shown the roll shoulder. This brotha is trying a roll shoulder type foundation and it is failing him, because he hasnt been shown proper rythym, balance, head movement, slipping, rolling and angleing. I give the brotha credit for trying.
Damn that was smooth. Silva's feints, footwork, and head movement were especially on point. If I ever get back to training boxing- and I'd really like to- I definitely wanna emulate a style like Silva's (especially since it involves getting hit a lot less, haha).
According to Freddie Roach(coach in the video), Anderson would give like 30-40% effort in training and Roach would be like “I don’t see why everyone thinks this guy is so special”. And then he’d see him fight and say “that’s a totally different person”.
Pretty decent boxing skills on AS. Other guy I think was getting frustrated. Better to keep your cool than to let anger take over. You end up over committing and leave yourself open.
You don't understand the stamina game. No frustration here. He lost too mutch energy in first round, Silva let him breath in beginning of second, but when he felt better he just tried to kill silva. So silva spent energy too, and rushed him back. Don't be fooled, silva is hurt too.
I watched it and was impressed. First couple rounds were kinda meh but after the 3rd Silva definitely dominated Chavez Jr. I’m excited to see him face Tito Ortiz should be interesting. I’m kinda hoping if he beats Ortiz he’ll step into the ring with Roy Jones Jr, I’d love to see it lol
it's because he's so relaxed which allows him to have great fluid movement and speed. being relaxed and focused he was able to see and defend all the punches coming while looking for and picking his shots with some quick accurate combinations. other guy was throwing power towards the end, was lucky that silva did not respond in kind
serious the partner was aiming through the spine at full power. I would have fuckin knocked his ass out for throwing some of those shots my way. Silva has a great tolerance.
yes I know and I do not disrespect him. he is probably one of the best coaches in our generation. I just saw humor in a situation were two guys can probably misunderstand one another. I hope that Freddy and Manny truly have success on May the 2nd.
Anderson speaks english, it's all a sham. I know this comment is old but Chael has been saying it for 7 years. Recently an embedded episode came out for UFC 218 that demonstrates Anderson speaking fluent english. He's full of shit.
Anderson showing great respect to everyone and putting nothing on his punches. He is putting in work and learning. For a guy in his late 30's and being one the greatest mma fighters it says alot about his character and his desire to learn show some respect.
Ol dude was getting frustrated, while silva was just enjoying the moment, ol looked like he was actually trying to knock silva out at first he was confident but as soon as silva responded to one of ol dude harder hit by switching around dude confidents went out the window and freddy face lit up.
Anybody that watches boxing can see that Anderson's combinations, footwork and head movement are leagues above Conor's. This guy was trying to take Silva's head off and he was calm, composed and in control the entire time. Not only that, but the footage of Conor sparring with Van Heerdan was chopped up to highlight Conor's best moments. This is just natural, organic footage.
Silva's footwork and angles on point. ..good pacing and being effective yet, not over excited. Seemed like the other guy reached a little frustration point due to Silva's pressure and erratic rhythm. It shows why Silva was the best for so long... 👊👊 👊
Reading some of these comments I realize that many who are commenting know very little of the sport. As an old timer, I can tell that the fellow in with the spider, is a fighter that back in the day, late 60s to 80s there was one of this type in every gym, some even slept in the gym, I would never ever seek to disrespect them, for they are people who reached their limit in a sport beyond their making, not everyone is made for boxing, everyone has their own particular attributes, this guy is not a representation of a good boxer. As incredible as it may sound, back in the late 70s, in our gym, our guy actually got to fight every now and then, a fight would be made for him, he took care of the gym. Anyway, he showed up to a fight wearing shorts with a split right down his butt, I mean you could see the straps from the leather cup, at which time Walter Bias, who was boxing commissioner B. Mass. stepped in and had him change to a decent pare of trunks. So he was a little punch drunk, you could hit him all knight with a hammer and he'd still be laughing, anyhow, this guy in with Silva reminds me of him. If a trained seasoned fighter was in his place, well it would have been a more fun filled sparring. While impressed with Silva, I am to old and some disabilities now, but I dare ardently say that I would stop him from circling me. I imagine I may ruffle some feathers on those without knowledge, or those keyboard tough guys. but, ha,ha,ha. Enjoy.
how do you realize this just now? not many people know the sport. it's why i watch all the fights at home instead of going to a bar or something because nobody knows about the sport yet they wanna shout at the TV and give advice on what to do
Micky Mcfarts. I would love to exchange techniques and ideas, I have learned a great deal, there are some walking the streets without any particular title but a world of knowledge.
DoesNotExist305 you can't even name me a cruiserweight boxer. he would definitely be a champion at cruiserweight. he is incredibly talented. he can definitely box. he wouldn't cut it at heavyweight though. too small.
I apologize if I was out of line. I didn't mean to question your boxing knowledge. it's just that in boxing, the cruiser weights are the dead division. Nobody pays attention to them so I assumed you didn't pay attention to them because I dont. I still believe he has the skill set to be a boxing champion. And I am not a ufc fan, boxing is my sport
+DoesNotExist305 "How many times have you heard that you can't do this or you can't do that or it has never been done before, as a matter of fact i love it when somone says it can't be done because when i do it it means im the first that has done it, so pay no attention to the neysayers" - Arnold schwarzenegger
Champion level-Anderson was actually sparring - not throwing 100% looking for angles and seeing what things would work, testing his stamina in the last 30seconds etc... I wonder who the sparring partner was? I sure hope Anderson retires soon, he already has a stellar legacy...
Silvas reach is his advantage, but in the clinch his punches have no smoke.Fighters with a long reach, have trouble throwing inside punches, uppercuts, hooks.
typically. not always. if you have a really good understanding of leverage, its very possible to neutralize your opponents inside game and land solid punches even with long arms. its just a lot more round about than just firing quick shots inside. its actually possible to use your opponents punches on the inside to increase your speed and power. this is kind of my talent. otherwise I'm a terrible boxer, the bigger guys knock me around and the little guys get harder shots on me and run away. but if I was stuck in a phone booth with any one of them, they'd be fucked, even though I weigh less than floyd mayweather with 2 inches on his reach. and my outside game is fucking shit. Go figure right?
actually, if you want a real life example go watch Jersey Joe Walcott. Esp his fight with marciano. he beats marciano on the inside and marciano has one of the shortest wingspans in heavy weight history. marciano ends up winning with his mid range game, ironically.
That's when Muay Thai comes in hadny for long limbed guys, with elbows a long limb is perfect for creating the torque for a clinch elbow and the knees can reach the chin with ease...boxing is a lot different though
Ok thats 1 name some more, minus the over hand right sir, were talkin in the clinch remember, theres always the exception but typically, long guns cant shoot in close quarters.MIke Chubb
Silva is a great fighter, but not a great boxer. His all-round fight skills are excellent but as far as pure boxing goes he's low-rank professional level at best. Lots of top wrestlers and BJJ guys have gone into MMA, but apart from a few freak-show fights the top boxers tend to stay in boxing, because there's so much money for them there.
res pect BJJ fighters like Jacare have developed world class MMA games relatively late in life so there's no reason boxers couldn't. Wouldn't take someone like mayweather more than a few years and he'd be a beast.
The issue is that Jiu-Jitsu is more valuable in mma if u can only choose to know one discipline. So the jiu jitsu man is missing less of the puzzle than a boxer. but on the other hand The idea of Jiu-jitsu is that any body type or athleticism can be effective. But it would take a younger version of mayweather 5 to 8 years of specifically mma training to adjust.
res pect personally I wouldn't agree. I would say boxing is as least as important a part of MMA as BJJ, and it's skill set is at least as transferable.
boxing has become as important as jiu-jitsu because everyone knows jiu-jitsu/Wrestling. I was just saying that jiu jitsu alone is better than boxing alone in mma.
adri p i'm a provincial champ undefeated boxer so shut the fuck up the guy was obliviously not going hard due to it being a sparring match, and if you know shit about boxing you wouldn't have made that stupid comment you can't judge a guy on how good his skills are if he's not trying, or we don't know how good his conditioning is, maybe he had a lay off or something. like a said again people like you who judge fighters are annoying as fuck, to be honest with that guy training under roach he would probably beat the shit out of us
7575danny Actually that guys record was 5wins -10 losses that time. I'm pretty sure the 2 guys above you know what they're talking about, and that you're clueless about boxing. LOL at undeeated provincial champ though.
eh don't forget Silva is an MMA fighter. He may not have 100% boxing skills like a full-time boxer but put any big time champion boxer in there and let Silva fight at his best like what his sport is and it would be 2 or 3 kicks to the knee (no more bouncing around), an elbow to the face to open up a nice gash, a roundhouse kick to the face then a simple normal guy boxing 1-2 and its all over......... That's the difference. He doesn't have to be the best boxer because he had everything else and obviously proved it
I watched this when it first came out and loved it, re-watching it now 13 years later this is one of the first things I noticed.... he fucking PARRIED WITH HIS FOREHEAD....It's so insane what he was capable of.
its not that hes stiff.. its just that compared to anderson he looks like a turtle with arthritis and nerve damage in every joint on his body.. anderson is just too smooth and fluent.. hes so relaxed and flexible.. everything he does all his movements flow.. he wasnt even really trying and still dodged everything and whoped dudes ass..
Carlos Cavazos, Silva is barely mediocre at boxing, if that. He has a 1-1 boxing record and he was stopped in his debut; hardly a sign of excellence. The guy he is sparring is clearly bad. MMA fans who do not follow boxing or don't understand it are usually the only ones who praise his boxing.
Funny thing im sure I have way more experience then you!Actually I have done BJJ and MMA sucks compared to the sweet science! IMO boxing will always be better. Have a nice day.
The sweet science? Here's a fun little fact, in fights, people aren't restricted to just using punches. Boxing is great for what it is. I personally find learning skills and techniques that are completely useless in dynamic combat, a waste of time.
Robert Cooper When have you ever seen submissions on a street fight video, if soemone got me in a submission I would bite a chunk out of them and gouge their eyes out
Kyle B there are positions and submissions available to a practitioner where your raw violence won't matter, you won't be able to hurt them. And even if it were the case that submissions in a street fight were completely useless (which isn't the case), you still have skills that allow you to better escape bad situations on the ground, such as a guy who knocks you down, pins you down and starts punching you in the face. And it also helps you get and maintain a dominant top position.
Silva throwing awkward punches from the outside, then switching to good clean punches then creating angles and throwing good punches from the inside, good punches in bunches. Skills.
Josh Waters He wasnt boxing with Weidman... It was an MMA match. What is with people being so rude over the internet. Your parents should get slapped for failing to teach you respect. smh Also, I'm pretty sure Floyd Mayweather is worth more.
As much as I love Anderson's boxing; I mean how could you not, the way he rolls of any and all attacks! I really do enjoy his Muay Thai more; his devastating elbows, combined with the execution and precision of his knees - He is a true master of MMA.
Silva is an amazing fighter, flat out. It's tough for a fighter that is accustomed to being able to kick, knee, elbow, and fight in the clinch to mentally adjust and abide by the rules of Weston boxing.
I've very rarely seen or heard of someone who knocks opponents out while moving/running backwards like Silva does..Amazing how he manages that type of KO power on the back foot like that, one could understand if maybe he was standing still and stepping backwards while he KO's an opponent but not running and doing it..He's done it a few times in MMA..And he's a nice guy, I've yet to witness any haterz..
BTW- he trains with Freddy Roach, who has trained a number of champions and what you say about a fighter is a direct reflection on the people who instruct him.
Anderson looks like he is using half of his sparring power. He was just relaxed the whole time, he used zero aggression and still made the guy look like a chump.
+Slade Wilson This is soft sparring. They don't want to fuck each other up just test out their combos and reaction times
+Kyrie Irving If it's supposed to be light sparring (and I think you're right, that's what it looks like it's supposed to be) someone needs to tell that to the guy training with Silva. That guy went hard more than a couple times.
PunchlineEverytime yeah
It's only training, when he's in the ring that's when shit gets real, shows his skills, killer strikes.
+Slade Wilson or the guy he is sparring is simply slow and sucks very veeeeeeeeeery bad...
The way silva used angles was amazing
+luis morales he is so accuracy, almost don't miss a shot.
I saw him missing a lot bud look again. hitting the gloves or arms is considered a miss
It is actually a way to distract your opponents and hit where you want to hit.
And movement.

Y
+Mat Mik I am not denying that, but if you pay attention to the focus of my original comment it was about being relaxed in the ring and not trying to take the other guy out.
Andersons combos and angles were smooth
yeah, see some veteran moves there
Yeah, and whenever he got rocked by that kids right hook, the way his head moved, so smooth.
Geo Gutierrez please

when anderson rolled under that hook at 9:16, it was so beautiful lol
i blew a gasket when i saw it lol
💯💯

This is funny, dude trying to rip AS's head off and AS just chillin and taking it easy lol
yeah
That dude is certainly not trying to rip his head off
Nah he's not swinging that hard
+daniel moyle ummm 9:01
+daniel moyle At end he was. Wanted some cheap shots in cause he got his ass handed to him.
Its easy to see the brotha sparring Anderson is still learning, he is trying his best and he deserves credit for that. gonefishingstudios hahaha hahaha this is not shitty WC
Sebastian Bernal hahaha hahaha it was a fucking joke.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Prime Silva was the shit.
I don't think "prime" Silva ever took a random drug test
Neither did GSP at the height of his career, but I still love him and Silva.
Russ B. 💊💉💊💉💊💉💊💉💊
yo daddy rlfireline each fight moron
roids don't make u develope fighting skills like that..

Pretty decent boxing skills on AS. Other guy I think was getting frustrated. Better to keep your cool than to let anger take over. You end up over committing and leave yourself open.
just fuck yourself George Batton
+Abed Atoui You mad bro?
George Batton it's also that BOXERS recent MMA fighters.
Just like he did too. lol swinging at air while Anderson circled and was standing behind him. A riot. Had me rolling laughing the whole time
You don't understand the stamina game. No frustration here. He lost too mutch energy in first round, Silva let him breath in beginning of second, but when he felt better he just tried to kill silva. So silva spent energy too, and rushed him back.

He’s supposed to fight Tito Ortiz on September 11th I believe is the date, 8 rounds

“U know u can’t get away from him with that shit, box him” 😂😂😂
I wanna thank the guy in the speedbag for providing a rhythm for the fight.

JESUS. The guy on the speed bag lol.
that guy is fucking annoying

I reaaally love how Anderson keeps his composure in tough times... the mark of greatness
6:03 LOL at freddie roaches smirk after anderson evades effortlessly
"AYE BOY, DON'T TALK TO ME" @ 7:10. Hilarious,
Here reminiscing after hearing about Silva vs JCC Jr.
9:00 is when Freddie Roach realized Silva is a phenom
Watching to see if i can find Chavez Jr at the gym now lol, he used to train at wild card around this time too
Ha ha ha Freddy is like hnga hnga hnag and Silva who speaks bad english shakes his head as if he understands awesome.
Lol That's fucked up man
***** you mean in the moment? :p

I'm here after watching Anderson Silva defeat Julio Caesar Chavez Jr.
Damn, son! The Spider is slicker then spit on a door knob. Man, he looked good
Now compare this to Conor's boxing sparring video against Chris Van Heerden
McGregor's skills looks much better Chris is a world champion too not some bum body builder off the streets after a couple of lessons like this nobody
conors boxing sucks ass
who's this guy Anderson Silva is sparring though? Looks like a bum.
Anybody that watches boxing can see that Anderson's combinations, footwork and head movement are leagues above Conor's. clowned lol
"IM TRYING COACH!!"
Anderson Silva Melhor da História do *UFC*
I remember this sparring match from way back, Anderson Silva is a beast 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
after seeing Chavez Jr lose to Mario Cazares, I think Silva has a high chance of beating Chavez Jr
His footwork is amazing. Dude looks like he's stuck in molasses compared to silva
"I MISSED IT!"
"IM TRYING COACH!"
LMAO IM STILL LAUGHING AT THIS GOOFIE WHINING BITCH HAHAH!
+Chrisna 1311 I don't really blame him. His coach is annoying as fuck. I kinda hate some coaches are
Silva's footwork and angles on point. ..good pacing and being effective yet, not over excited. Seemed like the other guy reached a little frustration point due to Silva's pressure and erratic rhythm. It shows why Silva was the best for so long... 👊👊 👊
Silva was playing with him
He woulda done well in boxing for sure
I'm trying coach! Lmao
There will never be another spider. Goat
Whos here after beating chavez jr 😂
Here after he destroyed Chavez
Silva has alright boxing skills but...Roy J would mop the floor with him!
not now.
9:43 “ you know you cant get away from him with that shit” 🤣🤣🔥🤣🤣🔥🤣
Enjoy.
how do you realize this just now? not many people know the sport. it's why i watch all the fights at home instead of going to a bar or something because nobody knows about the sport yet they wanna shout at the TV and give advice on what to do
Read your stuff was painful, what are you trying to say? old people remember a lot of bullshit
would love to see you or read some of you're opinions on certain techniques and strategies
Micky Mcfarts. I would love to exchange techniques and ideas, I have learned a great deal, there are some walking the streets without any particular title but a world of knowledge.
FREE-OBO Man I'm an old person too, but even I couldn't understand your rambling.
i wonder what silva does for strength and conditioning.
+Cristian Luna Steroids.
nah i don`t believe that.
+nick leblanc lmfaooooo
TRT and bench pressing.
+Cristian Luna steroids
Anderson can be a World Boxing Champion if he tried
Hahaha u crazy
DoesNotExist305 you can't even name me a cruiserweight boxer. he would definitely be a champion at cruiserweight. he is incredibly talented. he can definitely box. he wouldn't cut it at heavyweight though. too small.
I apologize if I was out of line. I didn't mean to question your boxing knowledge. it's just that in boxing, the cruiser weights are the dead division. Nobody pays attention to them so I assumed you didn't pay attention to them because I dont. I still believe he has the skill set to be a boxing champion. And I am not a ufc fan, boxing is my sport
no.
Silva is sparring with what's none as a "tomato can".
On the contrary riddick bowe had a long reach and had one of the meanest uppercuts in the game, along with his wicked over hand right
Ok thats 1 name some more, minus the over hand right sir, were talkin in the clinch remember, theres always the exception but typically, long guns cant shoot in close quarters.MIke Chubb
Well it would also take top level boxers way too long to develop all the other skills. Unless they are young.
res pect BJJ fighters like Jacare have developed world class MMA games relatively late in life so there's no reason boxers couldn't.
The speed bags sound like war drums in the background.
men any good boxer would kick the shit out of silva in less than 6. bernard hopkins would tear him apart at 65 years old.
Mate this guys a mma fighter u can't compare him to a boxer its a completely different sport
Oh and btw the guy Anderson was sparring with from what I saw isn't a great boxer either he has little technique and is very predictable
people like you are so fucking annoying
how can you say that if you don't even know the guy
adri p i'm a provincial champ undefeated boxer so shut the fuck up
the guy was obliviously not going hard due to it being a sparring match, and if you know shit about boxing you wouldn't have made that stupid comment
you can't judge a guy on how good his skills are if he's not trying, or we don't know how good his conditioning is, maybe he had a lay off or something.
like a said again people like you who judge fighters are annoying as fuck, to be honest with that guy training under roach he would probably beat the shit out of us
7575danny
Actually that guys record was 5wins -10 losses that time. I'm pretty sure the 2 guys above you know what they're talking about, and that you're clueless about boxing. LOL at undeeated provincial champ though.
jim jones what's the boxers name
jim jones you're trying to prove me wrong and you can't even tell me the boxer's name
I like Anderson silva but let's see him in with a real boxer this guy is clearly a bum with beg finer boxing skills
eh don't forget Silva is an MMA fighter. He doesn't have to be the best boxer because he had everything else and obviously proved it
Eh don't forgot these are boxers not MMA fighters...
Stephen Murphy lmao just like how slyvia tried to kick Ray Mercer then got knocked out cold 🤣🤦🏽♂️ just shut up and enjoy the sparring internet expert
OMG, this entry at 4:57, beautiful.
This guy is always moving, perfect.
I watched this when it first came out and loved it, re-watching it now 13 years later this is one of the first things I noticed.... he fucking PARRIED WITH HIS FOREHEAD....It's so insane what he was capable of.
The so called boxer is way too stiff, too slow. Def an amateur, all he does is he swings and he misses. Boring to watch to be honest.
its not that hes stiff.. its just that compared to anderson he looks like a turtle with arthritis and nerve damage in every joint on his body.. anderson is just too smooth and fluent.. hes so relaxed and flexible.. everything he does all his movements flow.. he wasnt even really trying and still dodged everything and whoped dudes ass..
arthritis is no joke
Anderson should just go to boxing.....just sayin
L
Why is he sparring a bum though? could find better at his own gym
El Bow why don't you find a bum at Freddie Roaches gym and box him? Post it on UA-cam while you're at it.
He should have sparred someone much higher level.. Anderson didnt learn shit from that. He went light on the bum
ive trained Muay thai since 2003 and fought pro. Have you? Even done fitnessboxing lol?
El Bow proof...
Why? Its not hard to find though but why do i need to prove anything to you?
At 4:05 I was like dam that's a kickass drum, then I noticed the guy on the speedbag in the bg lmao 😂
Silvia sucks in the ring
he's not even going hard he's sparring and so is the other guy
haha dude cant you tell he's taking it really easy he's not trying at all
At least he's trying to improve his boxing skills
silva is mediocre in boxing.
Is this an irony or u r simply crazy?
This is called sparring lmfao
Carlos Cavazos, Silva is barely mediocre at boxing, if that. He has a 1-1 boxing record and he was stopped in his debut; hardly a sign of excellence. The guy he is sparring is clearly bad. MMA fans who do not follow boxing or don't understand it are usually the only ones who praise his boxing.
Hastein45 1-1 is a really bad record for a boxer
Boxing is so much more fun to watch (and do) then watchin white guys without good hands rolling around on the floor twistin arms.
I personally find learning skills and techniques that are completely useless in dynamic combat, a waste of time.
you sound like bob jewboy arum.
He is an MMA fighter for a reason. Maybe he isn't the best boxer but sure as hell is a great fighter when he implements his game plan
6:22 that casual bounce off the ropes to slipping that punch was smooth af
Anderson overwhelmed that guy, he even let the guy land shots.... simply amazing
Silva throwing awkward punches from the outside, then switching to good clean punches then creating angles and throwing good punches from the inside, good punches in bunches. Skills.
Silva looks like he's just having fun while the other dude was trying to sleep him 😂😂😂😂
Was anybody else laugh as hard as I am when Anderson has him against the ropes just doing whatever he wants? hahahaha
Silva could definetly make it in professional boxing his ring iq is very good for someone who dosent box.
no he would be in boxing if he could theres more money in boxing than ufc
Josh Waters However not as much fun. Gotta love what you do, and Silva loves MMA
all mma fighters wants to do boxing more than mma theres more money in boxing
he lost against weidman cmon man and if he could do it he would theres more money in it fool
Josh Waters He wasnt boxing with Weidman... It was an MMA match. What is with people being so rude over the internet. Your parents should get slapped for failing to teach you respect. smh Also, I'm pretty sure Floyd Mayweather is worth more.
mans going super saiyan on silva while silvas not even on kid goku serious
As much as I love Anderson's boxing; I mean how could you not, the way he rolls of any and all attacks! I really do enjoy his Muay Thai more; his devastating elbows, combined with the execution and precision of his knees - He is a true master of MMA.
Anderson Silva is easily the best combat sports athlete ever , crazy how seamless he is switching sports.
Silva was a great striker in his prime. one of my childhood heroes, alongside Royce Gracie, GSP, Guida, Machida in UFC and Pacquiao.
Haha this guy giving his all and Anderson is just chillin not even giving 50%.
Silva is an amazing fighter, flat out. It's tough for a fighter that is accustomed to being able to kick, knee, elbow, and fight in the clinch to mentally adjust and abide by the rules of Weston boxing.
Dudes coach acting like he's sparring an amateur Anderson is a savage with his hands too.
If you know boxing you can see this guy is a D class boxer put there to see what Anderson's boxing potential looks like
I could watch Anderson silva sparring all day
I've very rarely seen or heard of someone who knocks opponents out while moving/running backwards like Silva does..Amazing how he manages that type of KO power on the back foot like that, one could understand if maybe he was standing still and stepping backwards while he KO's an opponent but not running and doing it..He's done it a few times in MMA..And he's a nice guy, I've yet to witness any haterz..
it's the greatest Freddie Roach on Silva's corner hell of a trainer!
mental break down and his ability to adapt is priceless
Anderson Silva was wrecking that dude in sparring and you can tell by his body language that he wasn't even trying that hard.
BTW- he trains with Freddy Roach, who has trained a number of champions and what you say about a fighter is a direct reflection on the people who instruct him.
Anderson really did a great job in this sparring session....
