For a company thats KNOWN for high prices for good quality parts, them putting out a rig in a VERY reasonable price range at around 500 bucks, is just amazing. Vanquish really has grown as a company in the last few years and its fun to see them and watch them grow. Here's to many more very successful years 🍻

Hey, man! I recently got into RC and initially got into 1/24. Now I was to get my first 1/10, and I am seriously considering the Vanquish. It'll take some time for me to research all the parts and get everything I need, but with your comments about the manual I am confident I'll manage. I wanted to ask you if you could give me a list of tools that I would need for the build. I don't really own many tools so I would need to get all the tools as well. I don't want an electric screwdriver but need to know the tools for the hex, nut screw sizes, etc.
Thank you! Nice video! I will probably watch your full build once I get everything I need.

I’m totally sold on the Phoenix being my next purchase. My problem is deciding between the portals or straight axles? I already have a Capra with portals, so I’m used to the clarences and I love it. But a straight axle looks more authentic. I guess my question is, does the straight axle hinder performance any? Love the channel keep up the great work.

    • @scalebuildersguild

    • @scalebuildersguild

Any thoughts on buying this and a SCX10.3 (for the daughter and I) vs buying the SCX6 instead? Which we’d have to share. Been saving for 1/10 crawlers for us to upgrade from our SCX24’s (plus 1/10 2wd buggy’s, SCT’s and and old Tamiya’s we each built). And now we have this option that wasn’t there before. If you really want to piss off Josh install another one of those servo shock kits. I can't remember the name of the kit bit I think you have it set up on the trekker but I could be mistaken.

does Vanquish now have their kit manuals available online? I never understood why they never released any when everone else does.
I'd like to order one when it's available but have my cousin ship the axle bag set first.

Hey man, I'm looking to pick one of these up soon. I have a question on motors. I know that it only accepts 540 sized motors so my question is will my Spektrum Firma 2100kv BL motor fit?
    Thanks in advance

Provided it’s a standard 540, you shouldn’t have any trouble.

Hey Matt, great vids bro. I just purchased 2 vs4-10 Phoenix kits. I’d rather straight axles so I’m asking you if I can use 10iii straight axles? If so would I have to change any gearing in the tranny? I know you and josh do all sorts of modifications. Just wanted your opinion. Thx in advance

You’d need to make your own links, and panhard, but I don’t see why you couldn’t get them to fit.

Vanquish has the three links in a kit on their site already for those axles in the 410 chassis kit.
      Cheers 👍

Need that link for the Link tools...
I can not stand doing links....
might pay $10 for prebuilt links.
    Carpal tunnel nightmare
Have a Reefs Raw ready for this..
Revolver or Puller Pro is where I'm at.
    then some low profile servos...
Doing a Tekno MT410 build now,
and that is a joy to assemble.
looks like this will be a similar pleasure.
if only i had those link tools haha

Sintered gears or machined gears? You said sintered, but they look machined, at least ring & pinion gears did.

R&P are machined, trans gears sintered. Sorry for the confusion!

@@scalebuildersguild missing part , but vanquish step up and sending free replacement part out. Dissatisfied with shocks as your aware. Its a high price for a kit to run into these kind of problems , bought a lot of cheaper ones with zero issues. Again vanquish made it right, was going to delete message.

    Just no.
Vanquish was the top because they never skimp on quality. I'm guessing i would buy the axial raw builders kit over this one.
I'm still building my pro, but Vanquish looses points because of this rig.

    • @scalebuildersguild

I guess that’s one opinion. Not sure how you can think that though. Still a strong upgrade path and a much more affordable entrance to one of the best platforms ever.

@@scalebuildersguild the whole reason I finally gave up the money for a vrs4 was for the axles and the transmission. The rear plastics get replaced, and the bumpers go into the parts bin. Then the truck gets built from there. So, this kit has removed all the good stuff that makes a Vanquish worth the money. If I'm going to throw half of the thing into the spare parts box I'd rather toss cheaper stuff.

I agree with Brian. I have a penchant for machined hardware which is why VP has always appealed to me as a brand. I think it is great that they are offering a pocket friendlier version for the masses, but im going to hold out for a deluxe version. Upgrading would be too expensive for me as I live in Germany (Guten Tag) and getting hold of VP parts is a costly undertaking. Id much rather buy the finished product pay the shipping and any duties and be done with it. The VS4-10 PRO is an option, but i much prefer the features and look of the Phoenix, so as hard as it may be, im going to bite my lip and wait it out.
