Great work Candice. I always learn something new from you every time I watch a video. I look forward to Emily's repot. Willows are my favorite practice trees because they are so forgiving. I hope she has fun showing for he first time!
I just watched your Chinese Elm update and what struck me is the timing you mentioned. I got into bonsai 25 years ago and I collected trees before I even knew what I was doing. I lost about 7 trees due to squirrels and not watering them during an over wintering. I found some old books and am taking things slow and methodical and just I wound up killing a great little Black Cherry that was so robust...it was tiny in a large pot and I neglected watering it for just one day....so mad...but I have to learn the finer points of this hobby and I'll be peaking in...thanks for your content!
Every year my Box trees are promised some serious attention...and every year they got left to one side because I know how slowly they grow. I desperately need to put them on top of the list or at least one of the bigger ones this year! Another well executed episode and I agree with Tony about villain laugh of the year :)
so we are just going to glaze over the fact that you have a leprechaun infestation? the boxwood looks good! the roots were gorgeous, and you always do such a great job of developing a beautiful shape to your trees. even the few simple cuts made a big difference.
Professor Candice in room 101 with a great repotting and pruning lesson. Please bring an apple for the teacher. Cool video with some very good information.
Sending Emily a Little Blush so that she can put a mini tree in it with her mom. Should arrive by the 26th, Sunday according to Amazon. I just showed her off on my video. I think Emily will like her. Little Blush has her own little wooden stand.
As always great explanations Candice 👍 My Beech already flushed out, whereas my Ashes still seem to be in dormancy. Do you think our trees in Austria are ahead in time? Is it still freezing during night in your area? Awsome trees, by the way ❤️🙋♀️
It’s like 3 degrees above freezing during the day 🤣. This will be a warm up week then we will see what happens. Nights this week are 24f (-4C) days are going to be 43F (6c)

Looks great. Mine is very discolored from winter weather. Hopefully not too much die off. Yours looks happy and healthy. Thanks, keep growing
I’ll be hoping for you also Matt!
Cool tree, thanks for the sharing your smarts with us. Oh yea 92 here today. Enjoy the snow.
Lol at least it doesn’t get to hit to want to work outside during our summers though lol
Such a sweet tree and love it with that color pot❤
Thank you Peter

No problem Matthew! Thanks for watching!
Looks so much like my boxwood, which I think you mentioned. Reminds me I need to repot it soon. Nice job Candice.

Thats a hell of a root system!! You could put that on display.
If only they wouldn’t die leaving them on display 🤣 what can I say -I grow big roots and I can not lie 😂
3:08 And the award for most sinister bond villain-like laugh goes to Candice! 🤣🤣

@@Candice.BonsaiScience so then it is colder in your area. We are above freezing the 2nd week now and about +15c during day. Thanks for answering
Safety first
Always 🤣
I know what you mean, those people in the warm states are so lucky, I mean it only got up to 79 today. I was freezing.
Bahhhhh well played Mike
Emily did you a favor, buffalo chicken should only be served with bleu cheese, never ranch.
Except when making a buffalo ranch salad - beyond that yes buffalo plus chunky blue cheese
Did you mention what kind of boxwood that was??
It’s the 2:2 Japanese Boxwood
