When Gibson introduced the ES-335 in 1958, they created a whole new genre of electric guitar. Like the original, the modern ES-335 uses a semi-hollow body with a pair of humbuckers to yield a famously warm and balanced tone. A solid center block running through the body reduces feedback compared to other hollowbody models, making the 335 a go-to choice for Jazz, blues and rock players for generations.
My favorite guitar, my dream guitar
I love my Es-335... It's the memphis one. It is a great, great guitar. And as good as a Les Paul
The only guitar you'll ever need.
are you crazy
@@warshipsatin8764one if not the most versatile guitar you'll find so... he's right
It's probably the best sounding one, so you don't need anything else
Been playing for 52 years I have a nice es137 but after playing 335 a couple of weeks ago I found the perfect guitar 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Why is that Mr Paterson? What a lovely surprise. He is an awesome player.
I would gladly take the ES335 Dot but I would rather have the block inlays in the neck.
I Have a '90 Dot Reissue. It's gorgeous, and sounds and plays literally like a dream. Rather than you taking over the guitar, the guitar takes control of you. A beautiful axe that has never received the worship due it.
for sure. block inlays and binding make a guitar look much nicer imo
The 335 looks nicer with dots in my opinion, like they were originally in the 50s,
Have an Epiphone Dot just like this one. Best guitar!
How does it compare to this one?
Sweet Pendleton!
Nice indeed!
Need me one of those!
Learn to play on Gibson ES 330 it was a hollow-body it was a hand-me-down later+ I got a yes 3:35
Is there a left handed model- extremely disappointed when I couldn't find the Trini Lopez edition as a lefty :(
Ben Bassett : you’re gonna be disappointed for every guitar maker out there too then lol
Fml I want one.
Should I get one?
If there's any fans of Three Days Grace here, Adam used one on the One X album.
really????
What songs?
@@alancobain9508 that's hard to tell.
He used an ES-335 & a Firebird.
If I had to guess the 335 was for the drop d songs and the Firebird was for the drop c songs.
The only drop d songs I remember off hand are It's All Over and Get Out Alive.
One day........
The guitar player appears to be Joel Paterson but I'm not sure
Alvin Lee lives.
Great Demo. Is this amp Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb? Could you also make a demo for us for this amp? Thanks :)
Why Gibson ES 335 is very expensive! even the standard are so expensive.
Because they're great :')
I can give you a variety of reasons 335s are expensive: Firstly they sound, play, and record beautifully. They are very versatile; they've been used to play just about every style of Popular music you can think of. And a who's who of famous musicians have played them; you can look that list up 'cause its crazy long. But despite all this I have to agree with you that they are a bit over-priced. When you buy a 335 you're not only paying for the guitar, you're paying for its reputation and legacy. Its just like that...
Because it says Gibson on the headstock.
If you have to ask, then you aren't ready to own one yet.
Yes
whats the amp please?
The amp is a Fender Princeton Reverb lol.. just lol
Reverb.com thanks guys, I couldn't read it :)
no overdrive?
good! you mostly remove the character of the guitar with distortion
If you ever need a new INDESTRUCTIBLE case for a 335, check this out: ua-cam.com/video/Jph7bJxFS7Q/v-deo.html
The block inlays please! Dots look silly
Blocks are to confusing
Who wants their rosewood fretboard hollowed out and replaced with large plastic blocks?
Very bland sounding
Humbucker
