I didn’t know what I was when I was younger. I was told that our family was Democratic. I am a Christian and the things that God has taught me through the years, and my Christian values just lined up with conservative principals. Pointing out that government should not be involved in marriage goes completely against the left view that the government should normalize and force gay marriage as the norm. She also politely pointed out that "Transgender" is a medical illness which she got the liberal to agree with! Yes we would have liked her to put the nail in the coffin by pointing out that changing society to suit mental illness is ludicrous but I think it's inferred. She may have taken that road had he pushed back on it. Recognizing and acknowledging a person's point of view doesn't mean you agree with their stance or solution to a problem just that you understand where they are coming from. Really disappointed in Roaming Millennial. Her goal was to find common ground as opposed to represent conservative values. She is a nice girl but I do not think she understands that finding common ground with those in the Fallen State is not what Christ stood for. He hung on a cross FFS instead of finding common ground with the Romans. Bless her heart she is a sweet girl but I do not think she knows what she is doing or is a conservative.

I think you're confusing lukewarm with a true loving Jesus follower. She's full of peace and speaking the words of Jesus. Jesus never condoned evil behavior, but he also never condemned the people in their struggles. I love Jesse, but his version of Christianity is way too politically motivated and he comes off as judgmental and unloving. I'm not saying we should agree with homosexuality or transgenderism, but its up to the Holy Spirit to convict the world of sin. its OUR job to love and share the Gospel.

I believe you have a decent understanding but you miss the point entirely. Attempting to understand the opposing side is a sign of intelligence. One should always question their own beliefs, as well. The wisest people always ask themselves how I may be wrong. But to conform your beliefs in the sake of common ground or a more “well rounded view” is not a sign of intelligence whatsoever. Logic should be the only thing that changes one’s principles, otherwise your principles were never sound to begin with. Compromising on beliefs is the reason of why we are where we are. The division is from the pushback from true religious or conservative people who are fed up with seeing their movement corrupted into the mainstream. If I tell you 3+3=7 and the majority of people agree with me but you believe it equals 6, you do yourself or logic no service when you find a more well rounded view and we compromise that 3+3=6.5. All you did is make those who were wrong feel better about themselves. Humanity suffers in the long run for the sake of your feelings.
@@buddhastl7120 I do question my beliefs hence why I watched this and watch Shapiro and Rubin. All three I disagree with politically. But the pursuit of reason is a bit of a fallacy. Apart from when talking about hard science, then reason and logic get grey very quickly. In politics or economic theory which are certainly not scientific, or at least not to the extent that they pretend to be, it's important that people exercise realism. I strongly believe 'A', you strongly believe 'B' and we are both well-intentioned and well-read on the issue then there is no path to reason if I'm cherrypicking my facts to support my argument and you're cherrypicking your facts to support your argument. Where is the genuine desire to be open? It's almost a danger to be too smart because someone like Shapiro who is really intelligent never questions himself. He says he does but it's only ever to put his argument on steadier footing. It's at that point when having the ability to compromise is so important. And generally speaking, democracy is a societal structure based on the principle of compromise.
In this video, JSL doesn't use reason. He believes what is in the Bible and then adds his own hateful rhetoric on top of it. I'll have to watch the Ben episode although off the top of my head I couldn't foresee them disagreeing so much since they're both extremely socially conservative. I never see JSL question his beliefs or Ben. And lately, I'm finding it hard to tolerate the inflammatory stuff from both sides. It's not about making things better or becoming enlightened, it's purely about winning. Fox News scaremongering about the caravan, CNN acting like they're fighting the good fight against Trump just for ratings. It just doesn't benefit anyone intellectually the skewed narratives.

If viewers take him at face value they are often left with the idea that Jesse is ignorant. I don’t see much hate for RM in these comments, I see disappointment as Jesse exposed her as a socially liberal person who has a few conservative views. She disagreed with being a christian as well and defaulted to a follower of Jesus. Their is nothing wrong with her ideas but Jesse’s brilliance of exposing guests down to their core is remarkable. I highly recommend you watch the Ben Shapiro one. It is before the 2016 election. Jesse was pro Trump while Ben was against. Ben is very educated and has constructed many solid arguments favoring conservative values. I like him a lot, but I have never seen anyone breakdown Ben into his core feelings and expose Ben’s bias and hatred towards Trump like Jesse does in the interview. It’s truly remarkable and is a reminder to viewers to never blindly follow anyone and always question ideas, even from those who you have strongly agreed with in the past. Cheers, friend 🍻
