I used to struggle heavy with depression, couch surfing to different houses, doing any drug I was offered. Then I found your music. First song I heard was put on me, and I don’t know why. But every lyric you say speaks to me. Whether it be relationship, or hardships. Or just self doubt. You have helped me realize I’m not alone, which gave me the push to better myself. I’m three years sober, and I start every day with your music playing, to remind myself how far I’ve come. I have my own place and a great job. And I have your music alone to thank for it. Please continue to do what you do, you’re changing lives in the smallest ways. You’re a blessing on this earth, and I wouldn’t be here without you. Thank you.
Well I don’t know your life but I can definitely say I’ve been in the exact position you just described and I can’t tell you how much joy it brings me to hear you say my music has helped you. I've never done drugs but I have ADHD and a lot of trauma from my dad. Your songs saved me throughout high school. I'm truly grateful for your music.

Drama, Adhd, Trauma, blocked out memories that don't let me sleep. Insomnia blocks the normal senses so I loose mind looking for an answer at the end of a bottle, a bag goes a way every couple of day's. Then wee search for the feeling. Lost it when I was young or don't know how to find it any more. But still I rise broken, torn, destroyed maybe the sun only rises for those stuck in the rain.
I swear if you release a Stripped version of this song, like you did with a previous album ill absolutely lose my mind. I love you dude, I wanna give you a big fkn hug

My boyfriend and I found your music on our anniversary and it spoke to both of us so much. We just recently saw you perform in Ybor Florida and it honestly was the best date night ever. We both have struggled in our lives so much. Surprisingly, recently I found out I am pregnant again (previous miscarriage). My boyfriend and I cannot wait. Just thought I would leave an update even if no one sees. We found out we are welcoming a little girl! We finally announced it to our families and have felt so much love from everyone. We wouldn’t even be here had it not been for the concert and my boyfriend and I are so excited for our future. We joked about naming the baby Maeson if it was a boy lol. The new album is amazing by the way Matt. We loved every song!
She made it to the world last month safe and healthy. Can’t believe it. Our lives are so blessed. We got engaged too! Can’t wait for a family concert with you one day 👨👩👧
I am chronically ill doing all I can to avoid a liver transplant. Music like this reminds me to turn my problems into music. It makes me humble to get reminded we all have problems. Matt, if you read this, thank you for the inspiration. Thank you for being there through your music when I am fighting at times all on my own. Sometimes it is fighting with myself and THAT is something music reminds me that I do not have to do. Be kind, one love.

It’s always random. I start playing, I start singing, something comes out. There’s almost never a formula with me and tbh it can be frustrating at times but I think it’s why I’m able to write so freely.

Crying in the front row of Florida man listening to you sing really was the first time j realized I wasn't alone in my battle with depression. Something about the lyrics n the melody just make me wanna keep fighting for my life.
i discovered matt maeson's music in november of 2020.
my sister had recently attempted suicide again and was in a psychiatric facility during this time. i was fighting so much guilt and fear and my depression swooped in and knocked me hard on my ass. that's when i heard 'cringe' for the first time. and it was truly life changing. @trent kozfkay really wrapped up my emotions that are tied to this music perfectly.
i'm still fighting a long and hard uphill battle with my trauma and my mental problems, but this music just makes feel so seen and understood and it gives me the strength to keep on fighting.
so thank you, matt maeson. for helping me and so many others like me with your art.
If only you could make a tour in Europe so i can finally see you live, a big dream

every song released is so good, its crazy. i first found your music in middle school and now im almost graduated and so excited to see a new album coming out. i know alot of the songs' themes center on struggles with alchoholism and drugs, etc, but they all really speak to the universal experience of loneliness and your music has perhaps been the only consistency in my music taste over so many years because its just that impactful, no matter the stage of life :)
