This glaze kiln load was unlike any I've done before! Not only was it mostly full of pieces for a wall hanging, these pieces were only fired once! Normally all my pots have a bisque fire (lower temperature) and then a glaze fire (higher temperature). This time I skipped the bisque and jumped right to the glaze fire!

Kudos on getting all those rings through the process without warping or breaking! I love the idea and can see potential for many things, like wind chimes, plant hangers, etc. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!! I threw the rings on the wheel which helped me avoid breakage as there was no join 😁. I'm really happy with them and already want to make more 😆.

These are fun! I can't believe most were thrown on the wheel!

I have a video coming out on Saturday all about how I made the rings and disks and turned them into wall hangings 😁

I am watching your video and see the rings on the upper shelf and the other small pieces with underglaze. . But I don't see anything like cookies to protect the glaze from getting stuck on the shelf. Did you use any cookies?

The rings are raw clay, unglazed and the disks are either raw clay or just have underglaze. So no glaze and nothing sticks.

For how long did you fire them?
