I LOVE THESE!!! Omg how fun!! You may want to make some that are a little taller and not so wide because some peoples sinks don’t have that much room! These are so fun!! I can’t believe you sanded all of those corks!!!! Girrrrl! Hahaha. Good for you!! I love the purple and green the best!! How did they do!?
@@micheledickey4066 ooh good point about the the shape, I may change it up when I make another batch. I've sold a few so far!
@@potterybymollika Yeah it’s hard to think of all those things but we have a bathroom that those bottles wouldn’t fit on so that’s what made me think of it.
Wow! Another kiln load so quickly! Good for you!! I love all the glaze drip pieces!! The magnets are great sellers for me. I pray you do well!!
@@micheledickey4066 I've got more kiln unloadings coming too! I've had a bit more time to make over the summer. Thanks!
Love it❤ and love the way you enjoy it! Man it always feels so good when everything turns out the way you want, doesn’t it?😊
@@Ellen.s.atelier it's so fun to have a successful kiln unloading for sure 😃
Very pritty Berry bowls are gorgeous ♡
@@sheilavandervalk3393 thanks so much!
@@potterybymollika you are welcome
My girls always loved playing with clay with me. They are in their 40s now 😊
@@skyvonsch so fun to play with clay 😁
Wow girl that’s a lot of mushrooms!! Love the planters. Very cool! Not selling anything at a market is so hard and I’m so sorry. The reason may be that you weren’t at the right kind of market. Sometimes at certain markets people are looking for pretty specific things and it certainly prices. Post pics of your set up and ask what people think. That may help too.
@@micheledickey4066 thanks! Yeah, I asked on a pottery page and got some advice, thanks.
@@potterybymollika Oh awesome!!
Hi...loved your video. I have a question. Did you buy the soap pump with cork already attached or is it a regular screw on bottle pump that you added a cork to? I have tried to find pumps on corks and have had no luck. Love the underglaze and scraffito you do...gonna give it a try.❤
@@PatFitzgerald-hn9cs I bought the corks and pumps as a set (Amazon). I had to put the cork on the pump, but they can as a set. Sgraffito is so fun! Totally give it a try 😁
did you use a shrink ruler, to get size right, for the hole on top for the oil bottle cork?
@@workofartgreeley7065 the corks I got her actually silicone and they have a little bit of an allowance on the hole opening size so I didn't have to get it exactly exact. I used a regular ruler and guestimated.
Thanks for sharing! Sorry to hear about your market😮 any idea Why you did not sell? I had my first market sunday and sold 20 pieces. Not as much as I was hoping for but the other people Saïd, people where not buying by them too. And it was really quiet. So considering that I guess I did okay. Hope your next one Will go beter🎉
@@Ellen.s.atelier thanks! I've got another one coming up, hope it'll go well. I don't know exactly why I didn't sell well, but I'm trying to make some improvements.
@@potterybymollika That is hard. I was at my first market ever last weekend. I sold twenty pieces. So that was okay, but it was a slow market I heard from other people. And twenty pieces is not enough to make some money. You have wonderful pieces! So that is not the problem! Did you see Lisa finkleher video tips for a market? Maybe that helps. And I heard it can change every market anyway, so maybe next time it will go much better!!
@@Ellen.s.atelier I have watched quite a few market videos, but not that one. I'll check it out, thanks! I keep hearing it's a slow year for market sales.
@@potterybymollika I hope not! Let’s hope it will get better!
For how long did you fire them?
I fire to a hot cone 6
They must be wonderful when glazed and fired!
Thanks!
It's like you're doodling when carving, the patterns and shapes are coming directly from your creative brain! I'd have a hard time choosing a favorite, I like them all! This is the first of your videos that I've watched and I love your enthusiasm. It makes an arthritic old artist want to get up and do something fun! Thank you for sharing this project! I'm subscribing!
Thanks so much for your awesome comment! It is a lot like doodling 😁 I can't actually draw very well, but I can doodle!
Very beautiful and great work, friend
Thank you!
Great video, I too cannot throw identical anything, they may be simular, but I could point out a lot of small differences, so I decorate the same, occasionally when I want them to match, but I say every piece is unique. I like your videos alot, I can feel your energy, passion, your like of original pieces, it's a great skill to have, please keep potting so I can keep watching. Thanks 🎉😊
Thanks so much, what an awesome compliment!
So beautiful
Thank you!!
I love your soap bottles .thanks for sharing. Where do you buy the kurkpomps
Thank you! I got the corks and pumps on Amazon. I kept a soap bottle for home and the pump works great!
Great video! I love your energy and these soap dispensers are so beautiful!
Tha is so much!! 😁
Loved the first 2 bowls, pretty, then the double walled pot, lovely, love the large blue spoon, I like your blue glaze combos and all your bright carved plates, I just watched your roof paper plate making video, great video, the plates and there designs are stunning. Thankyou for sharing, a great kiln opening ❤️ 😊
Thanks for the great comment!
I'm a once a week adult education Potter, I saw a video about this so i brought the smallest bit of Tyvek, a 1.4 x 1 metre piece from Amazon and then because I can't remember where I saw the original post, I just typed in what I wanted to see on you tube and your video was top of the list. So, here I am about to watch your video. Will finish my comments when you finish telling me how to use it. Thankyou. Great video, on class tomorrow so with my batt mate under the bat And this on top of the bat, throwing is going to be less messy not having to use clay to secure anything, so fingers crossed, what could go wrong ??lol thanks 😊
Thanks for your comment, I hope it goes well!
Is it possible to glaze the inside when firing upside down, or will it pour?
It depends on the glaze. Some glazes are runny and some are not. Any glaze that touches the kiln shelf will stick. Frequently planters are left unglazed on the inside though.
But how do you do when glazing?
I fire it upside-down and I don't glaze the rim or the inside.
Yay! I said “Oooo!” When I saw the edge and thought wow, what a good job throwing😍❣️
Thanks!! 😃
I love that color 😍
Me too!
Womp womp
Shut up

Been there, done that! ooof.
Yeah, not so fun

Hi
Hi
My brother recently went on a cruise and I asked him about the rubber duck craze. He had no idea what I was talking about. Mollika, I love your creativity. And it's fine to attach your business card. Why not? I saw on one of the other UA-cam videos a woman attaching her travel agency card to ducks.
That's funny, I guess you don't see them if you aren't looking for them. Cruises are fun regardless of ducks though.
:)
Cool
Thanks!
😅😅😔😔😔🤮
I am watching your video and see the rings on the upper shelf and the other small pieces with underglaze. . But I don't see anything like cookies to protect the glaze from getting stuck on the shelf. Did you use any cookies?
The rings are raw clay, unglazed and the disks are either raw clay or just have underglaze. So no glaze and nothing sticks.
Love the oil lamps!
Thank you!
Omg girl these are sooo funny!! Thank you so much for sharing! I am terribly allergic to eggs so maybe this is the only way I can even touch them! Hahaha I think making plates like this with the yolk to the side would sell really well!! Oh and a few double yolks would be fun too!!
Thanks so much!
These are so cute! Thanks for sharing your process.
Thanks! They are pretty fun 😊
Does it flatten out after baked? I'm looking to try this for the first time and don't know much about how this technique work
The slip trailing doesn't flatten when fired in the kiln, it stays raised.
That is a common thread for a lot of potters. Way to turn adversity into positivity!
I feel you❤ thanks for sharing, pottery works healing😊
great technique! i will try it!
Looks like bottom is glazed? How did you prevent it from melting to shelf?
The bottom had underglaze which doesn't stick to shelves. I put clear glaze over the underglaze, but not on the bottom.
Awesome ❤
Oh yay!! I love the baskets!! Oh and those planters are soo awesome.
Thanks so much!! 😊
Hi Mollika! I love that your kids are getting their hands in the clay! They did great! Too bad about the blue on the porcelain chimes. Maybe you could wipe those with a cobalt wash and refire...kind of go with the flow? The idea is great, and I'm excited to see them all put together.
It's so fun playing in clay with my kids 😁. I'll see what I can do with the windchimes, a refire should fix them (hopefully). Thanks for your comment!
Which pot do you like best out of this kiln unloading?
How many layers of underglaze?
1-3 usually. I thin it a bit with water and do enough so it looks even and I can't see the clay through it.
