Goose Hunting same wheat field... and my decoy spread rundown for 2024

Trying to maximize the harvest in the same field / permission we had. Not ideal to hunt same field twice in a row but worth a try ! We do same set up as day before and have a third person in the blind simply experiencing the waterfowl hunt and helping to film. Huge thanks to Ric and Kyle for the help and wanting to be in the videos.

Always nice to see how the other guy does things. I have a mishmash of decoy brands also. Some I like better than others. They all will draw n geese. Thanks for the video.

Couldn't agree more! I like to try different things and see what I like and dislike. Trying to make it look natural and also not spend insane amounts of money ... Any new birch bark canoe build videos coming out soon?

I wasn't able to get out and harvest a nice roll of summer bark last June and July unfortunately. I'm hoping next June to get the roll and build one next summer. I do have some smaller bark pieces I could maybe do a moose call video or a basket making video, what would be better ? I got alot of roots ready to go.

@NomadicWoodsman Either or both dude. Skills are skills, and I'm trying to learn. Are spruce roots ok to harvest this time of year, or is that pretty much just s springtime thing?

@@rgr798 You can harvest them still. As long as the ground is not frozen. You just need to boil them to strip them of bark. In spring around end of May or June when the new needles come out, it may be a bit easier to peel the bark off. You end up with the same product. So you can harvest roots right now as well, the ground may freeze soon though depending how north you are.
