ABOUT: 🔻
Cilver/I'm America Cilver (pronounced "silver") is a New York City band comprised of first and second generation American immigrants. The singer, Uliana Preotu, immigrated to America from Romania as a young teenager with her mother, and spoke no English. The lyrics describe her struggle to assimilate and finally describe her determination and her success and ability to thrive and shine and even become a leader. The interesting video is a chronological illustration of famous American events (both good and bad) through history, and features historical people like Einstein, Amelia Earhart, president Theodore Roosevelt, Charlie Chaplain, Big Bird, Barak Obama, first Latina Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor, Elvis, the Challenger shuttle disaster and a famous photo of Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton watching the live operation to kill bin Laden from the war room at the White House.
