the premise was that Tim always wanted to power up anything he had so the Christmas tree spins faster, the dishwasher blows up, etc. there was actually a lot of heart and warm moments on the show especially with the boys growing up.
They spent millions on every episode, especially as they became more popular. Tim was a stand up comedian, turned sit com star with hundreds of episodes of this show. Was in the top 5 with Seinfeld, Friends, for the whole decade.
This was and still is a highly funny and enjoyable tv sitcom, even all these decades later. I have a poster of him at the "Tool Man" hanging in my garage, That reads "Caution Dangerous Man with Big Tool" and he's holding a HUGE power drill like James Bond. The tv show was a spin-off from his stand-up comedy shows.
I’m an Aussie, and bloody loved this show. Usually for me British comedy is the best but this show was hysterically funny and so well written. I might have to go and watch some episodes, it’s made me feel nostalgic for when my then young son and I would watch this and laugh so hard!! Tim the Toolman, what a legend!
The writers for this show deserved massive kudos. The dialogue was always full of snap and wit, the plots kept you engaged, the casting very good. Just a great show.
This was one of the best tv comedies ever! It did so well because it was hilarious and family friendly as well. Tim's catch phrase was, "more power." It was a brilliant series and yes Tim Allen didi many of his own stunts. Tim always screwed some project up and Al was actually the better fix it guys of the two. Some of the funniest episodes are when different branches of the military invited Tim to do a Tool Time Show(the name of the home Improvement series Tim Taylor starred in)at military base. I hope you do more of Home Improvement and some of his stand up comedy. Not all of it is quite as family friendly 😅. It's where the character of Tim Taylor was created. He was also the voice of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story films. Pam Anderson was gorgeous and this is where is was natural. Then she plasticed up and starred in Bay Watch.
More power. It is amazing how he is the host to a tool Show. Because he has destroyed about everything. And that is just part of the show. Then you have the family side. Still one of the best. It is worth looking at reruns.
I loved watching this show as a kid with my grandpa who thought it was hilarious. Everyone was quoting "I don't think so, Tim" in the 90's. Still love the show to this day. The jokes never get old.
I highly recommend you find this show streaming somewhere & watch the whole thing. The "accidents " were always fresh & creative. I was always glued to the tv wondering what he was going to do to himself this time. And it's a show that the whole family can watch & enjoy.
At the beginning of the series there was a review saying/asking how many incidents could a character really get imself into while committing disasters? At least two to three (sometimes even more) per episode.
8:25 I'm tyring to remember the context... and if i'm correct, they hired one of Tim's buddys from the tool shop for some works on the house. He either took some shortcuts (he was portrayed as not very reliable and mostly was a scrounger) or made a other big mistake with the gas stove, so that the house was full of gas after the work was done. So one spark could ignite the whole thing and the house was equipped with lights, that went on, when someone clapped his hands. So Tim clapped, the spark was there and the house blew up
I remember watching this every week and it was pretty damn funny. I thought the best part were the one-liners by Jonathan Taylor Thomas, who played Tim’s middle son. He had such great delivery. He was really the breakout star of that show for just a kid. I’d love to see a compilation of those one-liners.
This was one of the funniest shows ever. My daughter was real small and she called this show OOPS because of the macho man sound Tim makes LOL There were "mistakes" in each episode.
There was much more to the show than one accident after another. He and the other guy had a home improvement show in front of a live audience, so working with tools, etc was a natural thung for them to do there at work. But he had a home life, also, and many of the episodes were centered around his wife and young sons. And yes, the neighbor who looked over the fence when he and Tim had their philosophical conversations.or when Tim just needed some level headed practical advice.
You guys should watch the movie Galaxy Quest. It stars Tim Allen, Allen Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and many others you’d probably recognize. Some call it a parody of Star Trek, but it’s not actually making fun….. it’s more of a love letter. You don’t need to know anything about any other shoe to enjoy this movie. You’ll die when you see Rickman.
My family and I watched every season and every episode. It was so funny. The show never ran out of crazy disasters for Tim to get into. The guy with the beard that played Tim’s cohost on the show hosted Family Feud for a while. I think his name is Richard karn his character name was Al 😊
“I don’t think so Tim!”🤣 So so funny, I loved Home Improvement! ❤ Oh and Pamela Anderson was one of the Binford Tool Time Girls on the show. Binford was the fictitious place that Tim worked as the host of Tool Time on the show.
That was hilarious. I watched this show for years. The clip show was fun, and it's also really fun to have a full episode, so you see what gets Tim into trouble.
You guys need to see his comedy special Men are pigs. It's one of the funniest things I ever saw. It'll have you rolling. I think Pam was the original tool time girl.
Yes. The guy he hit in the head with a board. Bob was the host of an actual home improvement show. “Tim Taylor” was essentially a guy who wanted to be Bob Vila, or rather his imagined ultimate version of him, but overdid everything.
This was great when it first came out, I loved this show. Shit, B1! Nice little building you put up! I am impressed. Hank wants to come stay in it with "That Fucking Dog" of yours, a nice little canine romance perhaps? 😂
That show looks funny, in the UK we had a similar show back in the 1970s called 'Some mothers do 'ave 'em' with the main accident prone guy called Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford). A sort of modern day version of Laurel and Hardy. Always good for a hearty laugh. :)
It is. It was part of a small wave of stand up comics getting sitcoms based on their comedy personas after the success of Roseanne. Should clarify that “Tim Taylor” isn’t just accident prone, he’s a lovable and well intentioned screw up who creates these accidents by his over the top and poorly thought out ideas of being the ultimate handyman. It is a really well done show in that despite this the character’s not stupid or pathetic and not toxic.
Tool Time was the number one show for almost eight years they wanted a ninth season but then decide to quit how many made The Last Man Standing the only seedif was the opening thing with them thing that went all over the place
This was such a great wholesome show. He’s the average American man, at the time. He’s oblivious but tries to learn from his neighbor how to be a better man. Critics don’t really give good ratings to shows with conservative stars.
“More Power “ were words that Tim lived by!
One of the best sitcoms of all time
the premise was that Tim always wanted to power up anything he had so the Christmas tree spins faster, the dishwasher blows up, etc. there was actually a lot of heart and warm moments on the show especially with the boys growing up.
It was one of my favorite shows and then he did Last Man Standing and it was another great show!!!

No...they didn't. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You should watch full episodes 👍

Tim always wanted to add more power, and it never went right
This was one of the best tv comedies ever!
It did so well because it was hilarious and family friendly as well.

Pam Anderson was gorgeous and this is where is was natural.
Then she plasticed up and starred in Bay Watch.
The ambulance was on speed dial.
This looks like my home improvements. I could do all of this.
Al was hilarious in his sort of low-key way that counteracted Tim who was more spastic.
More power. It is amazing how he is the host to a tool Show. Because he has destroyed about everything. And that is just part of the show. Then you have the family side. Still one of the best. It is worth looking at reruns.
Remember, if it doesn't say "Binford," someone else made it.

6:32 *ROFL🤣😂😂😂🤣😂*
It was a great show. I watch it commercial free every couple years on DVD
At the beginning of the series there was a review saying/asking how many incidents could a character really get imself into while committing disasters? At least two to three (sometimes even more) per episode.
I saw Tim standup live in Cleveland in the early 90s. He was hilarious!
This show was peak 90s family show ❤
5:52 😂😂😂😂

More power was his motto. You guys have to watch the show to get all the context as Al is part of the fun. Definitely recommend the show to you guys.
I watch this everyday
Toy Story? Buzz Lightyear?
There was much more to the show than one accident after another. He and the other guy had a home improvement show in front of a live audience, so working with tools, etc was a natural thung for them to do there at work. One of my favorite sitcoms of all time. Season 1-5 are so good. Also love the family based shows. Don't see a lot of those nowadays.
You guys should watch the movie Galaxy Quest. It stars Tim Allen, Allen Rickman, Sigourney Weaver and many others you’d probably recognize. I'm one of Tim the tool man's biggest fans. He made me laugh so much.
My family and I watched every season and every episode. It was so funny. The show never ran out of crazy disasters for Tim to get into. The guy with the beard that played Tim’s cohost on the show hosted Family Feud for a while. I think his name is Richard karn his character name was Al 😊
This show was my childhood! I might cry from the nostalgia. 😭😂
Tim powered up everything in his life….
It was Pamela Richardson who was a regular on the show, not Pamela Anderson.
That was Pam Anderson with spinning Christmas tree
Anything can be made better, faster, bigger by adding more power.😎
Absolutely brilliant! I've just started watching this series on Disney+, childhood memories! #morepower!! 😂 😂
“I don’t think so Tim!”🤣 So so funny, I loved Home Improvement! ❤
Oh and Pamela Anderson was one of the Binford Tool Time Girls on the show. Binford was the fictitious place that Tim worked as the host of Tool Time on the show.
I watch this every week on tv. he didn"t know what the hell he was doing.
BP1 you need to watch a full episode. Home Improvement was hilarious.
Hahaaaaa, those were great! I love visual comedy, the sillier and more ridiculous, the better 😂😂😂
Tim Allen actually spent time in Prison. Way before he stared on one of the best shows Ever.
I feel like I remember towards the end there was a news segment that was touting they would be breaking with the first view of “Wilson’s face”
More Power!
That was hilarious. I watched this show for years. The clip show was fun, and it's also really fun to have a full episode, so you see what gets Tim into trouble.
I just kept watching BP2 laughing! 😂
A show about a show 🤣
You guys need to see his comedy special Men are pigs. It's one of the funniest things I ever saw.
It'll have you rolling.
I think Pam was the original tool time girl.
3:09 Bob Vila on Home Improvement 🤣
Yes. The guy he hit in the head with a board. Bob was the host of an actual home improvement show. “Tim Taylor” was essentially a guy who wanted to be Bob Vila, or rather his imagined ultimate version of him, but overdid everything.
@@JustMe-dc6ks Right, I used to watch the show, it was Bob and Norm Abram.
This was great when it first came out, I loved this show.
Shit, B1! Nice little building you put up! I am impressed. Hank wants to come stay in it with "That Fucking Dog" of yours, a nice little canine romance perhaps? 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Great reaction! Tim was never happy with any 'stock' tool. He always tinkered with it to get 'more power', usually followed by disasterous results.
That show looks funny, in the UK we had a similar show back in the 1970s called 'Some mothers do 'ave 'em' with the main accident prone guy called Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford). A sort of modern day version of Laurel and Hardy. Always good for a hearty laugh. :)

These are a bunch of different episodes they're just showing you
This was such a great wholesome show. He’s the average American man, at the time. He’s oblivious but tries to learn from his neighbor how to be a better man. Critics don’t really give good ratings to shows with conservative stars.
This may be the funniest series of mishaps I have ever seen in my entire life! Wonderful! 🫢😂
