- I had a potential customer reach out to me stating that her previous lawn care guy ghosted her twice. This caused her lawn to become a disaster, growing for more than 3 months and making some of the tall grass to go to seed. I told her that I would be willing to come out on the same day and give her a satisfying transformation. And that's exactly what we did :)
Now this was a paid job and since the grass was tall, it would require more time for mowing, thus having to charge a higher rate. When mowing properties that are overgrown (turn into weekly clients), we charge either 2x or 3x the price of the regular mowing rate. And no, we don't include the time it takes us to record the video.

I like the fact that you collect the grass you mowed, instead of letting it stay on the top of the lawn like I’ve seen in other videos.
Major props to you for not only doing an amazing job but coming out to help this lady on the same day. She obviously was in great need of lawn care and you not making her wait a day or two speaks volumes on how you value your customers needs!

I am going on 73 this year, and when I was 10 years, mowed and trimmed yards for 35 cents. Did pretty good to. If I was able to do it now the price of course would be a lot more. But I loved doing it and was proud of the job I did. You can be proud of yourself, helping the community and neighbors.

I love the way you leave your sideways and driveways standing tall and professional looking. Everyone else shaved them down and it look’s burnt
I don’t know why I love watching someone manicure a lawn like this but I do. Great job on securing a new customer and cleaning up the lawn for this home and making it look like a golf course. It came out great. BTW what brand of weed whacked is electric and has that much power. I never thought an electric weed wackier/edger could perform like a gas powered one. Those battery operated ones work great. I spend more time working on my weed eater, getting it to start, keeping it running and responding cord, than I do actual weed eating. Great work Fill!

I am amazed at how people critique your work like they are rating you or are your boss. Sheesh. It must be hard to put up with reading all their "I woulda done it different" nonsense. That is a horrible yard to do. All that loose fencing. You had a lot of obstacles to tackle. Great Job - love watching all your vids! You are very good at what you do and I find that you are really very fastidious in your work. Wish you were in Florida, I'd hire ya! :)

Great job Fill, I loved the video and what a make-over. Never seen so many dandelions in a lawn but they are a good indicator for a soil that is poor in calcium and highly compacted soil so they help you defining the next step to improve the health of the lawn. The garden looks very Nice and I agree that the edging makes a big difference. This is going to be a beautiful garden over time. Keep us posted on the improvements made. For now a big thumbs up !

Finally I see someone trying out the Stihl cordless weed eater. I have a Ryobi 18 volt one and I can say it works just as well as a gas powered equivalent while being much lighter weight. Nice job on the lawn transformation!

Yep, edging really makes a difference, especially if you keep your lawn a bit taller which i do during the summer. Taller lawn grows slower , needs less water, and keeps the roots from getting burned during hot, sunny weather

For real, the last time I had a mower in my hands it was push style and I was probably 13 0r 14. I'm now in my 70's and definitely what is described as an Ole woman!. Love everybody's energy and heart. ❤️

Edging is great. I wish we could do that. My sister and I are disabled, so we can't do our lawn. We play Russian roulette with lawn care. We've been ghosted many times. Currently, got a kid that seems to care. He's up to five of us in the neighborhood. 😆 I keep telling him about your channel, so he can hone his skills.
I, personally, like dandelions as I'm for saving the bees. But to each their own.

I LOVE edging, I have an old B&D corded edger that works just fine, I use it 2 or 3 times a season and in between I use my EGO cordless string trimmer to keep them clean. Nice job 👍

Thank you for sharing this insightful video. Yes, edging does make a difference. Watching this video reminded me of the edger that I used on my mother’s driveway and side walks. Where we live now edging is unheard of, we have bridal pathways instead of sidewalks... more farm than suburban. Watching your channel inspired me to purchase a zero turn mower that I am gradually learning to steer around trees, avoiding wetlands and alternating mowing patterns. Is the metal grass catcher that you used in this video your own design or something commercial? I use mulching blades and always have a sharp spare set available but Autumn leaves do pile up. A drag behind sweeper will usually last 5-7 years with a traditional lawn tractor but are they practical with a zero turn mower?
