- Upon arriving, I didn't think much of mowing this lawn. The overgrown edges sure needed to be cut. The front yard wasn't that bad, I have definitely seen and serviced worse. However, the backyard desperately needed some attention. Thick, wet, and overgrown was sure enough for me to prime up my equipment and attack it. I hope you enjoy this tall grass mowing video. How do you like the exmark commercial 30" looking at getting my first commercial push mower looking at exmark but the ferris fw15 looks pretty nice too but bagger is a separate expense.

I wish the folks with "half yards" that have no grass would ask you to spread the clippings judiciously over the bare spots to at least help build new soil. Fabulous job as always!
I did blow some of those backyard clippings onto the dead grass 😁👍🏼
@Aloha Akahai What are armyworms? I’ve never heard of those before.
@@kelleymosqueda9535 They are a larvae of a type of moth that are notorious to destroy certain types of lawns, they get really bad in the fall around some states.
Army worms suck. You don't want them.

Fill in the dry areas with the sod you cut from the edges. Also rain barrels used to collect water from the downspouts could go a long way to help that back lawn. You did a great job.😊
Now this is the kind of video i like watching, unlike the other guys where all they do is talk and now they havee sponsors and commercials for other products, and "no" talking, just lawn work. Some other sites feel they need to explain everything to us and what were watching like were a bunch of idiots and we cant see that for ourselves.

Weird how its lush in some areas and dry in others

@@fillslawncare I didn't have sprinklers I had 3 outdoor faucets and lots of hoses and sprinklers. My lawn was green and lush all over and it was a corner lot. If I lived there right off I would invest in those.

That electric weed eater is impressive. For it to handle overgrown grass that well and be electric definitely got my attention.
When I took landscape design classes years ago, they didn't mention things like the width of a gate. Equipment has changed a lot, particularly wider/larger mowers. If you don't work outside, you wouldn't know it was critical. Noted that you had to bring in a push mower to finish that back area. Wouldn't have worked as well if the whole thing had actually been set-up for irrigation, a large area to mow all the time.A You did a nice job getting the basics of that place back in order. Enjoy that the home is now welcoming for the next people.

My “yard” is 6’ wide and has a telephone pole jutting into the outside corner. Good luck with that.

I've always wondered what grass that was. It looks like it would be lovely if it was maintained at a good height.
On a side note...always keep water in your truck. You can pick up a small cooler at the Dollar Store and keep water in your cab. A dry mouth is a great sign that you're already dehydrated! Take care of yourself!
Over 400 prescription drugs list dry mouth as the first listed side effect as well.

I noticed your camera fell over. Maybe some heavy ankle weights at the base of the legs of the tripod may help in windier conditions. Similar to what the road construction guys do. They put sandbags on the signs so they don’t fall over.

Beautiful job, I'm putting in a new front lawn in western WA, using the tall fescue, love the color and specs. I can't wait to see it grow, but not that tall. LOL Perfect crisp edges. The community almost looks like military base housing, that street looked like they were all the same model. Hopefully the new tenants will weed out those flower beds and get a hose and sprinkler for the dead areas, that could be such a pretty yard.
It use to be old military housing but not anymore :)

I liked the "Sod Snakes" !!! . . but, along with starting your own "Sod Farm", now . . after THIS yard, you might want to check out starting your own "Grass Skirt" company !!! ( that was perfect grass for it )
Great job. Looks fabulous. I personally don't like the look of the chain link fences, especially if a neighbor doesn't maintain their yard.
If I were the original owner I might have to go after the builder because of the sprinkler system. They probably advertised "in ground sprinkler system" as a selling point
That grass looks soft to walk on barefoot but i bet it's a pain to maintain ... i'm in N Carolina and i've never seen that type of grass here ...You do wonderful work !
