i think that pause was an artistic touch because it was right in the middle of the word "tumitigil" or "stopping" in English

No actually it was the opposite. The phrase was “hindi tumitigil” which means “does not stop” but they chose to stop the music in the middle of that phrase, creating the opposite effect

Whenever people sing this song in front of a crowd, it's always that specific word (tumitigil) that the crowd sings along with.
Which in turn also highlights the *meaning of the phrase*

The pause is really good in this song because it's right on time with the word "tumitigil" or stopping. I remember this during my high school days. As long as there's a guitar for a jamming session, this would be always played. MAGBALIK is really a good song.

Callalily is a flower usually used for funerals here in Philippines as it symbolizes death or purificafion of a departed soul. But fun fact is they named the band not from that flower but from a type of bread that the vocalist loved to eat when they were starting out.

Well, just wanna say that the drummer, Lem Belaro, was the one who made that song. He also made most of the songs that became the band's hit songs. Kean, the vocalist, also made a few songs for the band.

Drummer actually started very young, he's already so good on 3rd grade of elementary and playing at school as part of the band that performs weekly for praise and worship (interms of catholics a weekly mass), he's also the drummer on his local church, he can also freestyle a lot on school events, not sure if he took the academy for it, never really bothered to ask till we graduated and separated in highschool since everyone just went to different colleges far away from each other and as all connections goes, it eventually fades away. Was just startled in college when I saw him on TV playing the drums for Callalily. Cool guy.

Oh my Gosh! Callalily! I love this band and particularly this song. Very nostalgic. It's still on my playlist. Never gets old. I remember this song to be the most requested and most sang in school programs. Just the intro the students already know the song and girls will go wild. Higjschool feels.... I love Kean their lead vocalist, He's like a campus crush.

This song reminds me of our high school days. After school, or even during breaks, someone from our class who has a guitar would pull it out and just play any OPM songs that he likes and most of the class will sing along with him. Callalily is one of those "Ph legendary" bands. The addicting rhythm at the beginning that is being carried out in the entire song, the soft ballad of Kean's vocal, and his artistic bandmates are pure talent. Also, the complete absence of instruments at the last chorus wherein the main vocalist sings "tumitigil" means "to stop" or in this context "to end" only shows off his genius arrangement and interpretation of this song. It doesn't only imply a breathe to create drama, but a comparison of his endless love to the earth's continuous rotation and the river's everlasting flow. I fcking miss Oktoberfest. We push ourselves to learn playing guitar because of the bass and lead intro of this Song. This is a must learn piece and seems like a national anthem in the Philippines way back year 2000.

They went to music conservatory, so their playing method is kinda polished. When they perform live, Kuya Lemuel(drummer) really looks so cool.
Kuya Aaron (the bassist) is my favorite among them. They are the nicest people.

You are right, Efra, playing in such a 'pressure' type commands a certain spark from each one of the musician (the drummer, guitarists, other instrumentalist) and let its sound well played out...contributing to the whole flavor. Don't know if I understood your point...but Callalily is a cool band.
