Yeah, everything they react on is about music. Plus, they take the time to actually get to know the artist, not just some popular singers, but even those "not so famous" singers (those not known to reactors). Edit: I didn't know that what I said "Get to know" is literal. They talked/interview singers in as well.
The Juans is also a church band. That’s why their songs sounds like gospel. Three of the original members pursue what they want in life. The two vocals are original members. That song was release last quarter of 2018.
Filipinos are very into Love, Emotional and Heart-broken songs...The Lyrics /message that everyone can relate. The choices of words are every on point which hits everyone's heart. Even if you haven't experience it yet but you'll feel the pain.
When they standardized Tagalog spelling, they (academics) made decisions to distinguish the Filipino from foreign influences like turning Puede into Pwede or Cuarto into Kwarto or Piña into Pinya. Same words just different spelling. Probably to make it for phonetically accurate. Some words that originally started with an "F" were converted into P like Filipino into Pilipino, or frutas into prutas, fuersa into pwersa, because that's how the Tagalogs said those words.
Most of the songs coming out now in the Philippines were sang by an initially unpopular band but eventually became popular because of their great songs. There's a lot of great artists mushrooming now in there.
Remember the line: "Pinagtagpo, pero 'di tinadhana (Meant to meet, but not destined to be)" Now listen to Magnus Haven's Wish performance of "Imahe". You won't regret it. :D Edit: I just checked, and there are captions on their Wish performance. Pretty accurate translation too.
"Pinagtagpo pero hindi tinadhana" - in poetic translate for me is "Destined to meet but not destined to be" . other meaning is "brought together but not destined to be".

I absolutely genuinely loving these two, their love in filipino music brings me to their channel. I'm addicted watching them, they're so funny to!much love
Rule of thumb with learning Tagalog: Vowels are pronounced how you would in Spanish. And yes, "Pwede" means can/allowed and pronounced the same way in Spanish.
"Hindi tayo pwede, pinagtagpo pero 'di tinadhana"...I think this means that they like or even love each other but they knew the relationship will not work or last. They just met along their life's journey but not destined to be together. There are circumstances in their lives which they cannot change in order to give way for their love or relationship to work. It can be because of differences in priorities, religion/Faith(the closes possible reason I guess😊), age (one of which is way too young to enter a mature relationship) and/or timing (one of 'em is already committed).
in filipino pwede is the same meaning to spanish yes it means "can" in english but together with hindi means "no" and tayo means "us" we can't be together 🥰
If you only knew the meaning/ lyrics of this song, you will totally understand how pure it is. Anyways, I like how you react on every reaction videos you make. Always positive and you always keep on praising every singer in the Philippines. Keep it up and God Bless to you guys! 🙆🏻♂️
Seeing how you both enjoy listening to all the details of the song and how you appreciate harmony between instruments makes me desperately want to see you watch Superband performances. Too bad they aren’t on UA-cam anymore 😭 They’re still in Naver though.
Most of the words that we are using are borrowed from spanish but we change some letter's Iike "puede" pwede, para, uno, dos, tres, kwatro and many more
you’ll bee fascinated to know that in the southern parts of the philippines, there are more spanish words spoken than in tagalog. just like corazon, which means heart in hiligaynon and chabacano ♥️♥️♥️
I am not familiar with The Juans but there is a culture here of live bands performing in restaurants and bars almost every night. Well at least it was true before the pandemic hit. They might have introduced their songs thru that and ended up being requested over the radio stations and finally to the Wish Bus.
Love your reaction. Thank you for reacting filipino bands. Please react to Bandang lapis. KABILANG BUHAY performance on Wish.. God bless love love from the🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

Hi guys, you are right theres a lot of tagalog words are spanish words although sometimes spelled differently and conjugation is not the same. Tagalog does not conjugate but instead add other words to it it. Words like Pwede is the same in spanish except different spelling and the word “ sabi” its Saber in spanish and Pero is the same meaning “but” and posible is the same. Possible. Thos are just some examples. Its great that you caught yhe similarities
I am discovering so mane talented musicians through you and I am a Filipino. Just a short info. The Philippines was colonized by the Spaniards for 300 years. Spanish was taught in HS n College as part of the curriculum. Many words in Tagalog are Spanish. Maybe 85% of our names originated from them especially the family names or appelido. Pwede means can or possible. We’re very much influenced by the Castila as we called them meaning Spaniards.
I hope that the Wish Bus or those who are singing in the Wish Bus would listen to your comment so the more they will be inspired in performing and for more improvements. Little bit of history of the Philippines have been colonised by the Spanish so we did acquire loaned words in our language of tagalog. Even in our surnames and tradition traces of spanish is still very much present as of now.
The double v comes from the fact that classical Latin pronounced v more like a w.
