Why are you taking it personally? I don't like watching your team, yeah they win and I'm sure it's great as a fan, but that's like being offended someone has a different favorite movie than you. Nick Saban, the greatest college football coach of all time, ran a very boring offense for years. I'd prefer watching a Mike Leach or a Chip Kelly coached team every time, but that didn't mean that Alabama wasn't a good team.

@@KingJerbear 1) RS and the playoffs are two completely different things! 2) It doesn't matter what the Mavs used to be, when they lost to the Pacers. It matters what they are right now. And right now, it is a team that (by your logic) is a step away from sweeping the favorites (Wolves), who beat the Celtics in the RS. The Wolves that eliminated the defending champs, who in turn dominated the Celtics (with Porzingis) in the RS. 3) The first match wouldn't have gone the Celtics's way, if not for the refs, who did everything they could to make sure that Celts get their chance to come back and claim the W. I mean the Pacers kind of choked, but it's the refs that sealed the outcome. And that was the series actually. An inexperienced (at this stage) team like the Pacers wouldn't have a shot to leave this behind against a superior opponent. Woulda been a different series, if the first match had been won by the Pacers (which should've happened, if not for the refs). And by that, i don't mean that the Pacers would win the series. But it would've gone to a game 6 at least. 4) Why you keep mentioning Porzingis, but neglect to mention Mathurin and Haliburton? Just wondering...

There is no "domination" there. You're trying to downplay a team that has only lost 20 games total in the last EIGHT MONTHS. Nobody choked, the Pacers got clamped and the Celtics made plays when it counted, which is what they do, hence why they won 64 games this year. The referee argument has got to be a joke, as you may not have noticed that the Pacers led the league in committed fouls for the entire season, roughly 400 more than Boston. But hey, I hope the Mavs win, and then when you get destroyed in the finals this whole East vs West nonsense can finally be put to bed. Boston will blow them out just like they (and the Pacers) did in the regular season. Legitimately haven't even seen Boston at full strength since the start of the playoffs.

Celtics doesn’t have any players who has an exciting or captivating play-style. Not only that, their team is consists of players with no personalities, charisma, aura and etc. it’s just the way they present themselves. They’re dull, monotonous and stale but nothing wrong with that. They can be the 2000’s spurs and win a few championships. Celtics are a great overall team but I don’t find them entertaining or enjoyable lol

@@edgardoMurnia Yeah Nuggets vs Heat finals had all time low ratings and reviews. Celtics vs Mavs is doing slightly better, in terms of views but it’s still not that great. Bucks vs Suns were down horrendous too and Lakers vs Heat due to pandemic and doesn’t feel like a real playoffs experience. The last finals that did extremely well was 2019 Raptors vs Warriors when they averaged 20 million views per game. Now they only average 7-10 mills per game the last finals

Boring? I wouldn't say boring, id say stagnant at times because they cant make a damn layup. Maybe even frustrating when derrick white, al Horford, and Jrue holiday are banging 3 after 3 and you have tatum and brown on whatever you're doing lmao. And then Hauser comes in and starts nailing them and before you know it, up 20, smooth sailing. Then they talk about tatum tatum tatum but he's so underwhelming MOST of the time and then you realize "ahh that's why he never gets MVP"

When you play an injured Jimmy Butler Heat team, a team without Donovan Mitchell in 2/5 of of the games and no Jarrett Allen, and a Pacers team without Tyrese Halliburton for half of the series and just majority of them are inexperienced, you get a boring 12-2 record to the NBA finals. Celtics vs Mavs (probably) or Timberwolves (somehow) would be fun. Also as a Celtics fan, I finally understand why I like the Spurs so much.

They are a very good team, but they never give you the impression of being a historically great team. Personally, I expect them to choke at the first sign of a real challenge... as it happened so many times in the past. I stopped caring for them after the East Finals last year when they had a chance to become first team to win after trailing 3:0 and they lost by like 30 points at home. It is like the epitome of missed opportunity.

Honestly the Celtics were exciting this series. come from behind wins, Clutch shots, great brown dunks, awesome game winning steal, incredible blocks. I think a lot of people just don’t watch the Celtics or just show the fullest moments of them but I definitely had fun watching them against the pacers when it was close. When they’re beating everyone by 20 it’s understandable that it won’t be as exciting but it’s not their fault they’ve been so great.
They’re boring because no one has any faith that they can get it done at the end of the day.

This is one of the craziest caps I've ever seen in video format. Jaylen Brown literally had poster dunks in like each of the first 30 games of the season, and because he had corny Dunk Contest ideas he "mostly does layups?" They just had some of the most exciting comeback wins in a series (nearly identical to the Mavs), and they are boring because nobody is screaming at the camera cursing..? Boston is just the most hated franchise in the league, because they are so good every year, if you're not a Boston fan you just don't want to see them win anymore. So when they DO win, we look for a way to discredit it... and when they don't win, we look for the best way to make fun of them because they are expected to win every game by 20 points. But as far as I'm concerned, there's not a single thing that's boring about a team who has made it to the finals only losing 20 games the entire year with (at least) 2 all stars in their lineup. Not to mention they have been missing one of their best players for almost the entire playoffs.

Watching the Mavs and Wolves. Scrambling Every other play trying to get score. Is exciting. But it’s also a tell tale sign that these two teams are evenly matched . That being said that means every bucket is a result of a hard fought scheme drawn on the coaches grease board or the result of a player making a phenomenal shot after a busted play. From all the players landing on their asses from almost every play I would say it’s the later not the former.
But when you watch the Celtics not at 100% put up a 12 zero run on the Cavs they are boring.? No that’s not boring. What that is listening to your coach and perfect execution . Now. The Celtics tied game 1. With Cav.s with seconds to force an overtime. Smoked the Cavs in game 2. Overcome an 18 point deficit and then beat then stop the Cavs from scoring the last 3 minutes to come from and beat them in game 4 for the sweep. That’s not boring that’s methodical.
Now as for Brown not wanting to injure himself in some unnecessary situation with absolutely nothing to gain but every thing to lose . That is what you call a team player. He gave up his bragging rights to stay healthy and play the game . Not sitting his ass on the bench with a busted clavicle or season ending knee injury.
When this Celtics finally hang the Teams long awaited 18th Championship banner in the rafters of the Garden. Nobody will call Brown or Tatum boring . They will call them champions.

I could never find myself this year watching a Eastern Conference playoff game. The Western Conference is so much more interesting and exciting to watch. The Celtics haven’t had a real competition and the Mavs are a great one for them. I said at the beginning of the playoffs, “Whoever wins the Western Conference, wins the NBA Finals.”

In my opinion, the only reason the Celtics SEEM boring is because of the awful coverage by the sports media, not just mainstream, but even the online commentators. They all seem to ignore the Celtics despite being one of the most dominant teams in NBA history. Online commentators tend to ignore all the good things that the Celtics do, and just show their worst sides without talking about their incredible run all the way to the NBA finals. Do better, then maybe they won't seem so boring.

Besides the Knicks, the entire Eastern Conference was a complete snooze fest.
The reason that they are boring is because they really look like a 2k roster where somebody used all the exploits to get ridiculous trades happen. They have Tatum and Brown, fine, those are their players. They have Horford, he's an old reliable dude, they got him on a decent contract on his off year, fine.They got Derrick White while he was catching fire for a relatively low asking price, fine. But, the KP and Jrue trades both felt like they had cheat codes available and Portland and Washington were fighting over who gets fleeced more. So, they ended up with two homemade go-to guys as the 1st and 2nd options, traded for another 2nd option level guy (KP), and another 2nd-3rd option guy after his AS level year (Jrue). And they have solid starters in White and Horford. And still somehow have a decent 7th-10th options which no team would turn down, and not washed ring chasers on vet minimums.
The finals is better now...theres no drama like your goat wanna be..he started all the drama in the league
The East would be fun if half of the important players didn’t get injured, 76s vs Knicks was fun, Celtics got to the final without a real challenge, people keep saying they didn’t have Porzingis but that doesn’t hurt them that much compared to what the other teams dealt with

Because Tatum doesn't have a TV personality. But we can say the same for the Duncan and the Spurs when they were in top. And yes, winning can be ugly. Even guys like Kobe and MJ had to scale back their flashy moves as they age.

What's actually weird about it is that they play just like the Spurs, except with more 3-point shooting. The only way that a team like that can actually get their love is consistent dominance, but they haven't up until this point so might as well win and make everyone hate you
Jason Tatum is just an humble and peaceful guy. He still hasn’t won a title, it’s ok sometimes not to feel a ‘superstar’. At least he’s not a clown like others who plays the ‘cocky and though guy’, are over praised by the community/the media and then choke in the semifinals or in the finals.
Also Boston game is maybe ‘boring’, but it’s safe. Not dunking any play at least grants longevity (well yeah, dunks are cool but injures-risky and dangerous for the dunkers and the ones defending). No flashy and impossible last second circus shots grant consistency during offense. Teamwork avoids selfishness and creates more angles of attacks, and so on. Boston in general plays good basketball and we should appreciate it. It’s simple, it works and gives a spotlight to every player in the team, avoiding the narrative of 1 man (superstar)-show a lot of other NBA teams suffer.

Celtics doesn’t have a must see tv players. No entertaining or exciting play-styles. Celtics is a great team but they are boring.
It’s not that the Celtics had an easy path to the finals,it’s not because they’re just straight up boring to watch. Its not that they dominate and that’s the reason why their boring, no. It’s their play style that is unique to different teams. We normally see very exciting offenses in the nba because of how they run their offense. The Celtics run their offense at a slower pace than other nba teams which makes them seem like I very boring team to watch because we are used to fast offenses.
To quote the actual NBA website - "Boston's playoff opponents were often sapped by injury, but the Celtics still went 12-2 and reached the NBA Finals." Sooooo the opposition was weak, BUT the C's still went almost unbeaten?! How's that a news story? LOL

The Franchise is storied enough that the actual team can be boring and be still talked about by everyone. This is not the small market San Antonio Spurs.
There are three main factors:
1. The Celtics managment is souless. from the Pierce\Garnett traded to Brooklyn, to Isaiah Thomas- Kyrie trade.
Technically the right talent choices, but lack of franchise mentality. The celtics roster are bunch of great assests, without the deep unique chore that makes an interesting team.
2. Their playstyle is boring. their two best players are basically the same, with Tatum 10% more talented than brown. means they don't accomplish each other, just swithching turns each possesion.
In general the celtics offense is just 5 guys behind the 3 point arch passes to the wide open player, they shooting 40-50 3's a game consistency, thats boring. no flashy.

3. The team who influenced the east the most this season is Portland Trailblazers.
Evantually the trade hurt badly the bucks and the Heat, while Boston took advantage for Jrue Holiday.

So as a whole from the situation in Boston , i feel like team hasnt been improving , only slightly with the porzingis trade , needless to say from Jaylen And Jayson.
