The back seat warning is Great if you have kids. How many news stories abound of people leaving their children in the back in 100 degree weather!. That is a wonderful and lifesaving feature, if people take it seriously.
Pretty sure you guys have figured a ton of things out since this video, but… What I did is went through the touchscreen and set up everything my wife likes or not and assigned it to “her” key. And then programed all the things I did or didn’t like to “his” key. Upon doing this I found a lot of the things you mentioned were easily remedied. Also, the divide in the back window is so you can have two surfboards or other objects separate for protection. This way it is less like you will need to stack stuff you don’t want on top of each other. Specifically, surf boards…
Lol yes we have. This video was one of our first ones and have learned a lot about both the Bronco Sport and our Broncos. We have torn into them quite a bit for modifying them
The auto start stop is honestly not that bad. I can notice it more in my dad's truck with the bigger engine, but you don't really notice it with the smaller engine.
I know this is two years old, but you can buy a buy a thinner fun noodle that has the hole running through. Cut it in half long ways, cut it to length, then insert the edge into crack til its just a tiny bump. Nanny State cars do drive me nuts. If i knew how, i would go into the program, and shut everything off. Nice Bronco!
Check the back seat for occupants can't be turned off in the vehicle settings on the screen. Also in vehicle settings remote unlock can be changed from all doors to drivers door only. You can also open and close all windows with the remote. Double click unlock and hold for all open. Double click lock and hold to close all
I used to hate automatic transmissions, but lately I’ve been stuck in traffic way to much, so I prefer them. Actually I think they are better for off-roading, at least for slippery hills where it’s easy to loose traction, but I’m not a very experienced off-roader, so who knows.
On the explore that has the same ford sync system you are able to open just the driver door by changing something in settings. Check setting menu for the option
The seat reminder notification and the auto start are also on other brands it isn’t just the Ford Bronco Sport it’s also on most Chevrolet vehicles and probably other brands. Yes they are annoying but becoming industry standard.
I might take care of a couple of your hates...Go to Vehicle in Setting; then to Remote Lock and in there you can change it so only the driver door unlocks and there is also a Rear Occupant Alert option that will let you turn off that warning (also under the Vehicle in Settings
The fact that the auto start/stop can be turned on or off is boss level. My 3-series didn’t have that option. Same 3-series has the touch once unlock touch twice all doors unlock so BMW has had that figured out for over 10 years.
we got the doors figured out. I can be done via the infotainment system. Or with the key fob. as far as the auto start stop. I don't think we are gonna dig into a new cards electronics just yet.
I agree with the auto start stop system but that's on all vehicles look into the settings for the door unlock settings it should be there I know I did it on my compass
We actually finally had time to fix the doors and the back seat message. The auto start stop will be fixed in a little bit. Plug and play component that makes your choice stay until you choose otherwise.
For the fifth thing, you can actually move the cover in the trunk (the thing that the spare tire is under) and scooch it forward and it covers the gap. The guy at the dealership showed me.
Maybe you could try a threshold cover for the gap in the back? Like you would see in a house to cover the transition from one floor to another? Or that covers electrical cords? I think I’ve seen rubber types of these? I’m not sure about the length, maybe you could find something like that to cover it?
All the iconic 60's cars where bad ass. Even with the technology of todays vehicles those iconic ones (Bronco, Charger, Camaro, Mustang, etc) will always be the original legends. Imo... NOTHING beats the sound/looks of a built Early Hemi. Just wish I had a budget to build one. lol

Finally, comments about dogs in the back, which is what I have to keep in mind when I look for news cars since I have two big Bernese. Can you say how flat the middle seats fold down? Does the passenger seat fold flat too? Thanks, and thumbs up!
The seats fold down pretty flat. Just the gap that is left that would bother me. If the seats are always down then a pad would work perfectly. The front passenger does not fold down flat. Just forward a little.

Bought my wife a Bronco Sport and have been relatively happy except the fact that the air conditioning did not work when bought. Dealer or Ford missed this. One thing I think is not intuitive is the remote start!!! There is a button labeled x2 which seems to indicate click twice to start? No it's actually click the close locks button then click the remote button twice?!?
Usually with Ford - you click the lock button twice (when it honks you know you did it), then press the start button. However if you have the Ford Pass App - you add your vehicle there, and you can not only remote start it but schedule start for every day. :)
Just wonder A did auto makers do pre-mass production test to discover these issues, B do they listen to consumers or C did they know this issues will pop up even before they push them to market. Some of these issues are well known and have been solved by many others like the door lock and gap behind the back seats. Maybe someone in the management said Nah, it's ok we can sell it, it's too late in the game. we will fix it in next gen.
I noticed that too. Never sit in the back so not a huge deal. Dogs might like it but my pit bull will try to catch all the cars going by if open all the way. Lol

I like the auto start/stop, and there is a button on the dash, or you can get a bypass for it. The fact that it is a 'hate' is laughable. The door lock thing is being picky and if you are worried, you can just use the keypad on the door and it will unlock just the driver's side. You could also just carry a gun. The back window, you should have checked that before you bought it. The rear seat alert can be turned off, I have mine turned off, just do it in settings. The only one of these that seems like a legitimate thing is the gap, but you can use hard rubber floormats (like the ones from walmart for roughly $20) and a blanket over top and it will eliminate that problem. These complaints are probably something you should have considered before buying the vehicle.
All items have been fixed. As for the door lock thing… it’s not picky when someone jumped into the passenger seat with a previous vehicle we had when it opened all the doors. All the doors open when you touch the inside of the handle. Using the key pad has nothing to do with it.
Once you can turn it off since you can seems like you would like it more or just sell it or return if you can and get another Toyota. I'm looking for an fj to use until my bronco gets built and it looks like now could be another year and I need a car so might as well get an fj while I wait since they are holding their value so well.
I read there is very bad sun glare off the hood. Auto start/stop is another BS thing the manufacturers have done. Having to turn it off ever time is ridiculous. Another thing that cracks me up is the "big" engine is a 2.0L, LOL.
@@1Five1Garage And the funny thing is, I don't think it really saves any fuel (probably an insignificantly small amount). Ugh. I guess I will cross that bridge when I actually need to buy a new car.

Makes it impossible to pull the wipers up in anticipation of a snow storm without shutting the engine down when the wipers are in the up position. And don't forget to put them back down BEFORE you start the engine again. Otherwise the hood edge will force them to snap back down to the glass. i have a nice 1.5 inch break in my paint on the edge of my hood now from the wiper arms from this happening just once.

Love my Bronco Sport!
I’m so glad!
The back seat warning is Great if you have kids. How many news stories abound of people leaving their children in the back in 100 degree weather!. That is a wonderful and lifesaving feature, if people take it seriously.
I still don't get how you forget children in the back...
Pretty sure you guys have figured a ton of things out since this video, but…
What I did is went through the touchscreen and set up everything my wife likes or not and assigned it to “her” key.
It will destroy your engine though quicker
It not ford it’s government that made them put that.
Negative terminal on battery on all fords have little dingis that u can unplug that will turn off auto start stop
Pool noodle for when lowering the seats help with the gap. Cut to size and easy to store.
Good idea!!
Nice Bronco!
good idea :)
Check the back seat for occupants can't be turned off in the vehicle settings on the screen. Also in vehicle settings remote unlock can be changed from all doors to drivers door only. You can also open and close all windows with the remote. Double click unlock and hold for all open. Double click lock and hold to close all
Ty love! We got all those done ❤️❤️❤️
This Bronco looks really familiar to the new Range Rover.
.... Too familiar. 🤔
there is a switch on the left side of your battery, unplug that, your car will not die out while at a stop light. works great
Thanks dear ❤️❤️
I hate that I can't get one with a manual transmission.
Yeah that’s actually disappointing. The big one comes w a manual option but not the sport although it has a manual mode with paddle shifters.
Yeah I know. It's a shame but it has paddle shifters I guess to make up for it LOL
I used to hate automatic transmissions, but lately I’ve been stuck in traffic way to much, so I prefer them.
Actually I think they are better for off-roading, at least for slippery hills where it’s easy to loose traction, but I’m not a very experienced off-roader, so who knows.
Yeah, these are all VERY specific issues. If this is all that's bad, I'm glad I put an order in for one
Lol I love my sport - n those were just annoying things that we fixed. I hope you enjoy yours when you get it.
I also hate how the paint shines too much and people stares at you 🤦
Those issues will be fixed with tint and clear satin wrap.
@@MiguelTorres-er9zw 🤣😂🤣😂
On the explore that has the same ford sync system you are able to open just the driver door by changing something in settings. Check setting menu for the option
Agree completely with all of these. Come on Ford!!!
Lol
The seat reminder notification and the auto start are also on other brands it isn’t just the Ford Bronco Sport it’s also on most Chevrolet vehicles and probably other brands. Yes they are annoying but becoming industry standard.
You can buy an after market switch to permanently turn off the stop/start sequence.
We installed one. Auto stop eliminator
Great video! I hope you guys are enjoying your new bronco, looks like a fun car.
she loves it and worked hard to get it.
We love it!
I get it my Outback has a auto stop too!
Is this a Toyota advertisement? I tried a 4Runner out before I bought a Bronco Sport. No comparison. So glad I bought the Bronco Sport.
LOL nope I have both the 4Runner and Bronco Sport. We love them both for different reasons.
I might take care of a couple of your hates...Go to Vehicle in Setting; then to Remote Lock and in there you can change it so only the driver door unlocks and there is also a Rear Occupant Alert option that will let you turn off that warning (also under the Vehicle in Settings
the remote worked perfectly from the anonymous person earlier. Will have to get the alert thing done tomorrow. Thanks a bunch.
Thank you dear! I did that as soon as I saw your comment! 2 of my gripes are now resolved LOL
Cracked me up that one of your neighbors car alarm was going off while you were talking. He he
LOL! I forgot about that!
never even noticed it. lol
We actually got it fixed with the key fob :D But yes we found that too in the infotainment system! Thank you :D
For the fifth thing, you can actually move the cover in the trunk (the thing that the spare tire is under) and scooch it forward and it covers the gap. The guy at the dealership showed me.
Thanks. We didn’t know that. We use one of our big Broncos as the dogs transportation.
Thanks for the video was looking at the Purchase of Bronco Sport, but moving to something else. due to engine and towing mostly.
Maybe you could try a threshold cover for the gap in the back? Like you would see in a house to cover the transition from one floor to another? Or that covers electrical cords? I think I’ve seen rubber types of these? I’m not sure about the length, maybe you could find something like that to cover it?
We purchased a Bronco for them. No gaps and plenty of room for our dogs.
I knew this was an old people video when he dropped a map reference
Lol yep
Locks are programmable, dealer step by step showed us to do it, the check the rear sensor can be turned on on the dash.
Thanks completes those over a year ago.
I believe, if you use the keypad, it only unlocks the driver door? I will have to try it though.
It does and if you hit the 3/4 button after your code it will unlock all doors.
Just got my Bronco this week.
My dislike - the safety stickers on
the visors - how do I remove them?
Stickerfab.com try them for black outs :)
Never thought I’d see problems with tech and computers in a Ford Bronco
Computers and Bronco aren’t words I would even thought I would use together. Just like 4 door and Charger.
@@1Five1Garage yup, I’m the 60s both of them were bad ass
All the iconic 60's cars where bad ass. Even with the technology of todays vehicles those iconic ones (Bronco, Charger, Camaro, Mustang, etc) will always be the original legends. Imo... NOTHING beats the sound/looks of a built Early Hemi. Just wish I had a budget to build one. lol
You obviously hate reading the owner's manual also as a couple of those things you hate can be changed or shut off.
Not that we hate reading the owner's manual - We haven't had the time. We both work long hours at our jobs and are tired when we get home. Will I be breaking it out, yeah, when I get time to actually read it.
lol if it is really important, someone will make a youtube video about it.
I love when the shifter knob comes apart in my hand or becomes difficult to turn. Good times.
Oh my… I never had a problem with that before
@@1Five1Garage according to the service tech, the vehicle needed a program update. Hasn't happened again. My wife loves it but its not for tall people.
On off switch is in most new vehicles though when stopped at a light. Mercedes/BMW for sure, its annoying I get it.
we installed the autostop eliminator on the vehicle. no more start/stop crap :)
It wasn’t until over six minutes into the video that I realized that this was a Bronco “Sport” video. Clearly I’m a Broncoholic
😂😂 nothing wrong w that!
Umm, there is a setting to shut the car shutdown feature off in the car settings. Also, the check your back seat for occupants is a setting you can turn off. As for the dogs, there’s a dog carrier for the back that’s sold for this vehicle.
we looked in the infotainment system of the sport we have and it's not on there. I do not know if its in the TECH package one or not. If anyone knows please let us know. However, we have come up with a solution to this issue and that will be in a future video.
Such thoughtful people. 🐶
Thank you.
LOL, the way Ford does door locks is exactly the way I want them to work. I would hate what you want to do to them.
We had another vehicle that all the door locks opened at the time... Someone opened the door on the passenger side and tried to get in when she unlocked the doors. So...
Great info can u share where the top sunroof add on was purchased
If you talking about the awning and such. Those are all ford accessories.
Go to setting mode then door locks. You can program to just driver door unlocks.
Thank. We fixed it. ❤️
But just think....with all the money you save on gas using the Start/Stop, you can buy a new starter in a couple years 😂
That's the thought I have too. I do think adding gas is WAY easier then changing a starter.
HAHA - gas is WWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY easier! I can only imagine how hard it could be to change the starter after a while. ugh...
Lol that auto start/stop just sucks. 😂
Hi, I was watching your video and I need help from someone who’s had theirs for a while I got my 3 weeks ago everything is fine and all except today when I connected my phone and tried changing the song with the button on the steering wheel it didn’t let me so I tried it on the radio and it let me change it with no problem is this something normal or how could I fix it any suggestions ? Thank you btw I have the bronco sport big bend
Sorry just now seeing this. I would suggest going to the dealership. Let them take a look at it. Maybe something is up with the button in the steering wheel itself, or the whole wheel. Or could be a connection issue. There's just too much to tell. Feel free to reach us directly on instagram and our website: www.1five1garage.com
"Give you an idea of what she's talking about " got what she meant first explanation...lol
Lol
I own an Audi A6 and it's the same thing. Just turn of the on/on feature
@@1Five1Garage Thanks, good to know!
I have 2 big 110 lb chocolate labs that fit in the back of my 2021 bronco sport no problem. They have tons of room to wiggle around and look out the window
You should be able to turn off the system of reminding about rear occupants!
Done did it 😉
I just bought one … what’s up with the back windows thr safety things … I am looking to see how to let the back windows completely down. Thanks for the content.
It's the way the door is shaped. The glass it too big for it to go all the way down due to the narrowing from the wheel well.
Any idea what the slot underneath the insert of the center console is used for?
Nope. Never use it.
Auto stop/start wreaks havoc on your motor, starter etc. get a auto stop/start eliminator. I got one in my Jeep gladiator. It remembers i have it off and i don't ever have to push it unless i want it to work again
That is a solution that I can deal with. Thanks so much. I will tell Jill about this and say I found this all by myself... (huge brownie points) ;)
Unless she reads this.... hmm... lol... what are the chances?
@@1Five1Garage LMAO I read it and u still get brownie points cuz ur buying it :)
My 89 Bronco a great ride , so I ck out the new Broncos thinking I would purchase one , after looking into it I realized the new vehicals are $40,000 sack of computer chips stuffed into a plastic vessel. I’ll hang on to the real deal .
Did you look at this or the big Bronco. This is the Bronco Sport. Not the larger Bronco which are out in limited numbers now.
@@1Five1Garage yep I looked them all over , as I was interested in the new broncos but , soon realized if you want a off road vehicle, build up an older bronco or Jeep etc .... if you want a computer on wheels , tape your IPHONES on roller skates .
@@dcmcgill1105 LOL
To solve the lock/unlock issue look at page 64 of the owners manual and it will tell you how to program this setting.
Hahaha 5 annoyances, what about a counter Video? 5 things you Love
Hates, like, and wishes. Lol
Will the back window close if the wiper is not in the down position?
That I don’t know. I’ll find out … 🤔
You can turn off the “check back seat” reminder in the control panel.
Oh every gripe I had been addressed after the video was shot lol
You can change the unlock setting to driver only in the sync settings
I'm more fascinated with the people than the car. He looks like a knockoff kevin costner, and she has a crazy tight body and looks kind of eskimo to me with the cheekbones and eyes.
Thanks, considering less then 2 years ago she was bed ridden due to her fight with cancer and the chemo treatment was getting, she has come a long way.
@@1Five1Garage i wish her good health.
LOL why thank you dear! I'm working my way through the comments. LOL he's a handsome guy isn't he :D
DumbDuck44 Eskimo shouldn't be used anymore. It's a racial slur. Just a heads up.
They do. We just were playing around and saw a couple fixable things we could change.
Thanks for the review. I have been looking for someone commenting on the seats down to haul pups.
Your welcome. The safety and comfort of the dogs are important to us.
@@cherch They will have crates for the bronco. We just don't have them for the 4Runner. But yes we do care about our dogs.
Hey can you tell me where you got the Awning?
It’s a ford accessory.
Gracias i am looping to buy One
We hate that the back seat windows dont go all the way down. Er I should say our dog wishes the windows went all the way down lol
I noticed that too. Never sit in the back so not a huge deal. Dogs might like it but my pit bull will try to catch all the cars going by if open all the way. Lol
@@1Five1Garage yes our husky likes just looking out. But she has almost choked herself just trying to get her nose out. The back seats are roomy though. I have sat back there when the mother in law gets to ride shotgun lol. I am about 6'10" 311 lbs
@@richards1191 damn so I was right. There is plenty of headroom for a 7’ ish person to drive it.
LOL! Yeah I can see that being a hate issue! I missed that one.
@@1Five1Garage yes you are. We went to the dealership to look for a new ford explorer but were shocked they dont come with bench seats. Have to have bench for the husky. We thought the bronco sport would be too small but were pleasantly surprised by the room.
Sometimes if you ask the dealer if they can permanently turn it off sometimes they will but I think there’s a law against it right now
Once you can turn it off since you can seems like you would like it more or just sell it or return if you can and get another Toyota. I'm looking for an fj to use until my bronco gets built and it looks like now could be another year and I need a car so might as well get an fj while I wait since they are holding their value so well.
The FJ is a cool vehicle. I think a little bit before it’s time though.
Nice yonkers Jill
LMAO - why thank you!
I read there is very bad sun glare off the hood. Auto start/stop is another BS thing the manufacturers have done. Having to turn it off ever time is ridiculous. Another thing that cracks me up is the "big" engine is a 2.0L, LOL.
Auto start stop is mandatory thing from the government. Bs is right.
@@1Five1Garage And the funny thing is, I don't think it really saves any fuel (probably an insignificantly small amount). Ugh. I guess I will cross that bridge when I actually need to buy a new car.
Has anyone talked about the cavernous cowl that hides the wipers under the hood? Makes it impossible to pull the wipers up in anticipation of a snow storm without shutting the engine down when the wipers are in the up position. And don't forget to put them back down BEFORE you start the engine again. Otherwise the hood edge will force them to snap back down to the glass. i have a nice 1.5 inch break in my paint on the edge of my hood now from the wiper arms from this happening just once.
Putting the wipers up is actually very yard on the wiper arm springs. I never put mine up, except when I'm washing my windshield.
can you re do it all with her tugging at her shorts? asking for a friend. LOL great information, I also dislike the auto shut off and start which is called "on demand power"
LOL i'll ask her...
😂😂😂😂😂
@@1Five1Garage lol I wonder what she will say 😂
LMAO!
I have a 2021 explorer and it has an option for unlocking the drivers door only ans twice for all doors or you can go into the settings and choose all doors first click
And theres also a way to opt out of checking for kids in the back
Thank god i don't have the start n stop but only people driving slower because they thonk im a cop lol
The start stop I don’t even notice anymore. I’ve had that in a car since 2015.
The second complaint is very valid. That’s something you wouldn’t think about until your in a bad situation.
start stop is most annoying on a hot day when you have the AC going
Autostop eliminator - they have a 100$ solution :) we did it to ALL the Broncos!
4 Runner is the best design 👌.
