Our beloved Prophet (SAW) used to pray like this. .. Narrated Salim bin 'Abdullah: My father said, "Allah's Apostle used to raise both his hands up to the level of his shoulders when opening the prayer; and on saying the Takbir for bowing. And on raising his head from bowing he used to do the same and then say "Sami a-l-lahu Liman hamida, Rabbana walaka-l-hamd." And he did not do that (i.e. raising his hands) in prostrations. (Sahih Bukari Book #12, Hadith #702) ... Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him), when he stood up for prayer, used to raise his hands apposite the shoulders and then recited takbir (Allah-o-Akbar), and when he was about to bow he again did like it and when he raised himself from the ruku' (bowing posture) he again did like it, but he did not do it at the time of raising his head from prostration. (Sahih Muslim Book #004, Hadith #0759) .. Malik b. Huwairith reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) raised his hands apposite his ears at the time of reciting the takbir (i. e. at the time of beginning the prayer) and then again raised his hands apposite the ears at the time of bowing and when he lifted his head after bowing he said: Allah listened to him who praised Him, and did like it (raised his hands up to the ears). (Sahih Muslim Book #004, Hadith #0762) ... Wa'il b. Hujr reported: He saw the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) raising his hands at the time of beginning the prayer and reciting takbir, and according to Hammam (the narrator), the hands were lifted opposite to ears. He (the Holy Prophet) then wrapped his hands in his cloth and placed his right hand over his left hand. And when he was about to bow down, he brought out his hands from the cloth, and then lifted them, and then recited takbir and bowed down, and when (he came back to the erect position) he recited:" Allah listened to him who praised Him." And when prostrates. he prostrated between the two palms. (Sahih Muslim Book #004, Hadith #0792) ... Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Salim ibn Abdullah that Abdullah ibn Umar used to say "Allah is greater" in the prayer whenever he lowered himself and raised himself. Yahya related to me from Malik from Nafi that Abdullah ibn Umar used to raise his hands to the level of his shoulders when he began the prayer and when he raised his head from the ruku he would raise them less than that. (Imam Malik's Muwatta Book #3, Hadith #3.5.21)
Assalamualykum brother, at 6:30 of the video it is stated that "that is just a few basics you need to be aware of and in no way Does not substitute a live teacher" This video was made really for the new Muslims to give them a very very basic understanding of the prayer so they can get started without too many complications thats why they kept it very simple.
And this Sahi hadeeth is one of the most detailed ones. Uthmaan ibn ‘Affaan (ra) called for water to do wudoo’. He washed his hands three times, then he rinsed his mouth and nose, then he washed his face three times, then he washed his right arm up to the elbow three times, then he washed his left arm likewise. Then he wiped his head, then he washed his right foot up to the ankle three times, then he washed his left foot likewise. (continued)
You also have to make sure after coming from ruku', raise your hands. And going down for sujood, raise your hands again. While in sujood make sure your feet are touching each other! For a thorough explanation of the Prophet's prayer, read Siffatul Salaatun Nabi by Imam Nawawi.
Plus it IS actually Sunnah to pray with shoes on. It is encouraged by the Prophet (SAW) because the Jews prayed without shoes and the prophet told us to do the opposite and pray with shoes. However, this is not the case if one is in the masjid because it is a clean place! Anywhere else though, like at a park it is better to pray with shoes on.
My brother, the hadeeth which they present is weak even according to hanafis but if some one insists that its "Sahi" then Imam Nawawi said: Our companions have said that if this hadith was authentic, then its meaning would be that, he did not used to do rafa yadain again and again, in the beginning of the prayer and in the beginning of other rakahs. (It does not have to do anything with the rafa yadain of ruku), from this Ta’weel, all the ahadeeth will be followed. [Al-Majmoo 403/3]
Assalamu `alaykum brother. MashaAllah. may Allah continue to give you strength. I know the answer to your question. Parents are not to be obeyed if they tell you to do something wrong. If your parents tell you not to pray, it is OK if you pray in direct disobedience to them. However, going to the mosque is not obligatory and so it is best to not go to the mosque in order to not cause chaos in your household. But, going on Fridays is obligatory for men. So go only for Jummah prayers on Fridays
I was previoulsy a deobandi and Alhamdulillah i repented from it 5 years ago. Now I follow the madhab of Ahlul Hadeeth and our Top priority Imam is Mohammad Sal Allahu alayhi wasallam. Refer to this video to know more my brother: /watch?v=yVITrEo-OEg
Then he said, “I saw the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) doing wudoo’ as I have done it, then the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever does wudoo’ as I have done it, then prays two rak’ahs in which he focuses completely on his prayer, his previous sins will be forgiven.’” (Sahi Muslim, al-Tahaarah, 331) I hope this hadeeth helps inshaAllah. Rinsing the mouth once isnt haraam but its much much much better to rinse 3 times
why do people starts telling wahhabi biralbi etc. etc... He does correctly He is following the quran the sunnah what wrong with that.... wake up!!!!study quran and thats it . PERIOD!
i hope all these answers help and i hope inshaAllah you read the suggested article in the description of the video which has been provided only to clarify the issue so no one can have any doubt on this what so ever.
Ibn Mas'ud said: "Shall I not show you the manner in which Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) performed his salaah?" Thereafter he performed the salaah but he did not raise his hands except at the beginning (of his salaah)
Walykum assalaam wr wb, Raising the hands before the rukoo, after rukoo and after standing up for the third consecutive rakaat is a part of Salaah. The books of hadeeth are filled with it and There have been books written on this issue by great ulama such as Imam Bukhari rahimahullah as well. There is however a group that does not raise their hands before rukoo and after rukoo and their position is very weak. You can check the links provided in the description of this video inshaAllah.
For more information u can refer to the article of our website which i have provided in the description of this video. The title of the article is "Hadeeth of Abdullah bin Masood on Rafa yadain is weak" Also refer to the article rafa yadain before rukoo' and after rukoo'. You must have no doubt after reading these 2 articles inshaAllah.
2) Again the scholars have explained and have another view on what if this hadeeth was Sahi. Imam Ahmed bin Al-Husain al-Baihaqi said: It’s possible that in the beginning, Tark-e-Rafa Yadain was present when the permissiblity of rafa yadain was not there, and after that it got abrogated, and the rafa yadain of before and after ruku’ became the sunnah, and these two things remained the same with Ibn Mas’ood. [Ma’rifat al-Sunan wal Athaar Vol 1, Pg 220]
Walykum assalaam, Thank you for your question. May Allah reward you for it. Wudu is obligatory for performing salaah. Try and find water if possible and you can do it even if you get a glass of water. It just requires some practice. If you dont find any water what so ever then one can do tayammum and perform salaah. Refer to wwwDOTislamqaDOTcom for further details and references.
may Allah bless you too. If u have any other question related to salah then please let us know, InshaAllah we will try our best to provide the authentic answers in the light of Quran and Authentic ahadeeth. Jazak Allah khair.
Also the condition of prayer to be accepted the dua before Fatiha does NOT have to be recited one can start straight to Fatiha without reading the dua.The dua is optional. And Will still be accepted inshallah
Dear beloved brother, Rinsing your mouth once is fardh and doing it three times is mustahab and has alot more reward inshaAllah and this was the general practice of Rasool Allah s.a.w and the sahaba radhi Allahu anhom. Please note that we or any muslim must not only take one single hadeeth on any issue rather we must consider All ahadeeth about an issue and then conclude with every minute detail available in the hadeeth. Now there are many ahadeeth regarding Wudoo but i will share one.
When he said your back has to be level his back was not level but was slanted slightly downward so if a ball was put on his back it would roll towards his head.
What is everyone's problem with Hanafis? They have legitimate ijtihaad. Leave it at that. They too follow Quran and sunnah according to the understanding of Hanafi scholars, whereas others follow it according to theirs. Please stop seeking discord and disunity. This has been settled for over 1000 years. Khalas
That's a very good point, the closest this is is to the Hanbali Madhab and Allah knows best. but we must respect other Madhabs all are good and fine to follow. this Is but one way and is according to the Sunnah and Allah knows best.
If a person is praying alone, he has the choice between reciting out loud or silently. He should look at what is more likely to increase his focus and humility in prayer, and do that. Reciting out loud in Fajr prayer and in the first two rak’ahs of Maghrib and ‘Isha’ is Sunnah. You also have a choice between the 2 in prayers (tahajjud). But remember that the loud recitation must not be too loud and it must not disturb others. Allah knows best
as-salamualaikum thank you so much for showing us the basics can you just tell me where does it says in the hadith or quran that raising your hands before and after your sujood is necessary...just want to show to my muslims sisters that this is how you pray
as a Christian, its easy to pray, all we have to do is put our hands together close our eyes and thats it sometimes we dont even have to close our eyes
1) Akhi first of All the translation you did is incorrect. The Arabic which you translated from the hadeeth is "إلا مرة واحدة مع تكبير الإفتتاح " which means except for once in the first takbeer. I already suggested the article should be read as it contains answers for those that say it is Sahi but give it its own meaning. If it is sahi then it only means that One should not raise his hands again and again in the begining of Salah. [Al-Majmoo 403/3]
I want to ask one question brother. WHAT ABOUT THOSE AHADITH WHICH HANAFIES PRESENT by Hazrat Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood Razi Allah Anhu?? I have checked them these are not weak... WHAT TO DO? VERY CONFUSED?
**I meant to say 'are womens supose to pray like this too' i have saw your other video "the mistake of women in salaah" but just wanna make please reply back fast InshAllah . JazakAllah khair.
Salam I would like to know If we can prayer sitting down in Chair in the plane I do understand there is some gaps and place we can stand and prayer Also want to know if the profit Mohammed prayed sitting down while travelling on his horse or camel and Hadith for it ? JAZAKAH ALLAH :)
Aslaamu alaikum wr wb, Hope your well InshAllah. I wanted to ask that 'does women pray like this too?' Please reply as soon as possible.. JazakAllah khair
Assalamualykum, sister u might be referring to salafi and not syafie. The Video Displays the method of Salaah of Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him and thats also how we as as salafis pray. Alhamdulillah.
Assalamu Alaikum. :) I had a question: When he is going for a jog in this video, he says to stop what you're doing and pray. While you're outside jogging, how will you make wudu? I thought that if you did not make wudu your prayer was not acceptable? What do you do in these circumstances? Thank you in advance :) JazzakAllah kair
walykum assalaam, first u shud make an attempt to find water. Remember that Wudu can even be done with a glass of water. It just needs very little practice. In case if u r unable to find water at all then Tayammum should be done. Do you know tayammum?
Thanks for the video brother, may Allah grant you reward each time I pray Salah due to your instructions. Just had one question though - in the first rakat you read surah ikhlas, can I read that again in the second rakat? Also if it isn't a Fajr prayer how do all 3/4 rakats flow?
Salam, praise be to allah and may his belessings be upon muhammed(saws) It is disliked to read the same verse both times, but for someone who does not know any other quran surahs then obviously there is an exception. It is recommended to read in the form of revelation, so you read surah al-Ikhlas then read surah al-falaq or surah al-falaq and sarah an-nas and so on. The 3/4 rakats flow so that you read one rakat and then in the next, you sit after making your second sujood(prostration) and read "atahishyat..." then upon reaching "Ashhadu alaailaha" raise your right index finger and keep it raised, slightly bent. Then finish this and before darud sharif, "alaahumsali..." stand back up. U then read the remaining rakats the same ways as before. In these rakats you are allowed to read a surah after al-fatiha. This is the same for all the salahs except for the witr prayer where you only sit down in the final rakat. Any other questions on salah I would be happy to help :) Salam, Allah knows best.
You don't have to do ablution if you're out, right? And what about if you work during one of the prayer times, and you cant take a break? I am in the middle of milking cows during the midday prayer and we have to keep the cows going and cant stop until they are all milked, and my boss is strict. Can you say the prayer while you're working or do you just have to make it up with the next prayer?
What do you do if your busy, its ime to pray, but you need to preform wudu or ghusl, but you ae nowhare neer any water to preform either then what do you do?
qaboos4 - Islam is great religion and has solution for every thing. You are no where near water then do tamiam (تميم). This you do when you have no access of water.
Subhana Rabbil Al Atheem. I suggest who are learning from this video not to repeat this way and go and look at the Arabic text because it is being read wrong same with Sujood
thanks but that wont be necessary, this is just how christian pray nowadays because it is easier, but i do admire how you Muslims pray...it shows a lot of devotion to your religion
3) The opposition of the rafa yadain of before and after ruku is not proven from any Sahih hadith. The ahadith of the opposers are Baatil, Da’eef, and Mardood. [For more details see the book of Hafidh Ibn al-Qayyim, Manar al-Maneef pg 137] If Sheikh Albani did regard it as Sahi, then one must understand the hadeeth it self but truth is that a Heavy Majority of the Scholars of hadeeth have regarded this hadeeth as Dhaeef and it does not make mention of Rafa yadain before or after Rukoo' either.
Dear those who are watching this video. I think that it is extreemly important that in matters of Fiqh and Aqeedah that you refer back to a trustworthy scholar, although I am sure 'The Deen Show' intends good by presenting this video, but in reality it just causes more confusion and it is very one sided. The title is very misleeding too, Salah according to 'Quran and Sunnah', this implies that those who do not pray like this are not following the Quran and Sunnah. Please be careful of where you take your Deen from.
Hey everyone, I am having issues while in the sitting position ''when you say the tashahhud and rabigh firlee''. Am I allowed to sit in this position? I really hurts when I try to sit in this position.
Brother why rins your mouth three times? Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "When you make wudu then wash your mouth." (Sahih - Al-Baihaqee) I only rins my mouth once. Could you give me proof that it should be done 3 times? Jazak'Allah khayr brother
no brother as you will do things that will break your wudu throuhout the day such as farting going to the bathroom or possibly going sleep during the day or after reading fajr so no it will not cover you for the remainng prayers after fajr.
Salam brother, check out yasir qadhi khutabaha on ones renewal of wudu, he says it shows a lot about ones level of imaan, equating it to half of imaan! Refer to his video on UA-cam. (A Reminder to myself first and foremost, in-sha-Allah)
Adi Khan Scholars have written that is permissible to perform salat with one's shoes on. There are several sahih ahadeeth supporting this. That said; I have never prayed with shoes on.
Zohaib Akhtar well in our country (pakistan) the imams and scholars are pretty strict about it that you have to take off ur shoes for salah.only you cant take off during the funeral salah.
Assalam o alaykum warahamtullahi wabarakatuhu 4 years ago I learnt the prayer from this video and prayed first time in my life.. Alhamdullilah
May ALLAH bless you.

If it is sahi then it only means that One should not raise his hands again and again in the begining of Salah. [Al-Majmoo 403/3]

Asalamualaikum. Why is the brother wearing his shoes whilst offering Salaah??
Nice video,
Assalamualykum, sister u might be referring to salafi and not syafie. The Video Displays the method of Salaah of Prophet Mohammad peace be upon him and thats also how we as as salafis pray. Alhamdulillah.
salaam bros en sisters, what is the name of the reciter? wasalaam
Salaam from your brother shia muslims
+Mohammed Alsaraj man cmon, leave this comment section ur troll idiot!
walakum salam ..i am muslim but my mom is jewis...
walykum assalaam, first u shud make an attempt to find water.
Salam, praise be to allah and may his belessings be upon muhammed(saws)
It is disliked to read the same verse both times, but for someone who does not know any other quran surahs then obviously there is an exception.
Any other questions on salah I would be happy to help :)
Salam, Allah knows best.
How do you mean brother? or maybe you got help already ?
You don't have to do ablution if you're out, right?
And what about if you work during one of the prayer times, and you cant take a break? I am in the middle of milking cows during the midday prayer and we have to keep the cows going and cant stop until they are all milked, and my boss is strict. Can you say the prayer while you're working or do you just have to make it up with the next prayer?
Walykum Assalaam,
You mean in the individual prayer?
What do you do if your busy, its ime to pray, but you need to preform wudu or ghusl, but you ae nowhare neer any water to preform either then what do you do?
qaboos4 you make ready before you do those things
qaboos4 - Islam is great religion and has solution for every thing. You are no where near water then do tamiam (تميم).
This you do when you have no access of water.
the surah is by mishary alafasy
Muzahim Bawazeer yes he means that
Subhana Rabbil Al Atheem. I suggest who are learning from this video not to repeat this way and go and look at the Arabic text because it is being read wrong same with Sujood
mashallah subhanallah
thanks but that wont be necessary, this is just how christian pray nowadays because it is easier, but i do admire how you Muslims pray...it shows a lot of devotion to your religion
Please refer to islamqa.com

The opposition of the rafa yadain of before and after ruku is not proven from any Sahih hadith. The ahadith of the opposers are Baatil, Da’eef, and Mardood. [For more details see the book of Hafidh Ibn al-Qayyim, Manar al-Maneef pg 137]
If Sheikh Albani did regard it as Sahi, then one must understand the hadeeth it self but truth is that a Heavy Majority of the Scholars of hadeeth have regarded this hadeeth as Dhaeef and it does not make mention of Rafa yadain before or after Rukoo' either.
Is pointing with the finger fard?
Assalamualaikum brother I think you have done wrong translation or not exactly correct translation at 13:04 (and have patience)
Please be careful of where you take your Deen from.
there are a few differeings among the scholars too.
Who is the reciter pleas tell me
Hey everyone, I am having issues while in the sitting position ''when you say the tashahhud and rabigh firlee''. Am I allowed to sit in this position? I really hurts when I try to sit in this position.
Allah does not want hardship for you, so if you are finding it difficult then in sha allah try sit differently. Allah knows best
xImistar Alhamdullilah I have started since last week and only sit during sujood, tashahud and the rabigh fir lee part. It's not as bad as I thought.
Praying salah with shoes is acceptable or not?
assalamu aleikum warahmatulahi wabarakatuhu
brother on your last rakah you are sitting on the wrong foot mashaAllah
meshary al afasy
Brother why rins your mouth three times? Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said, "When you make wudu then wash your mouth." (Sahih - Al-Baihaqee)
I only rins my mouth once. Could you give me proof that it should be done 3 times? Jazak'Allah khayr brother
So is it okay to just do wudu once for faja prayer? Does this cover you all day for the 5 prayers..?
no brother as you will do things that will break your wudu throuhout the day such as farting going to the bathroom or possibly going sleep during the day or after reading fajr so no it will not cover you for the remainng prayers after fajr.
If u don't break ur wudu u can have the same wudu for a year thetorically, although that wouldnt happen unless u have some medical condition lol
Salam brother, check out yasir qadhi khutabaha on ones renewal of wudu, he says it shows a lot about ones level of imaan, equating it to half of imaan! Refer to his video on UA-cam. (A Reminder to myself first and foremost, in-sha-Allah)
nice video but wouldnt one needs to take off her/his shoes before offering salah?
Adi Khan Scholars have written that is permissible to perform salat with one's shoes on. There are several sahih ahadeeth supporting this. That said; I have never prayed with shoes on.
yes as long as they bend , consult your Imam also
Zohaib Akhtar well in our country (pakistan) the imams and scholars are pretty strict about it that you have to take off ur shoes for salah.only you cant take off during the funeral salah.
+Adi Khan only in majid
As long as they bend and are free of filth, then prayer with shoes on is perfectly valid.
