I am a Muslimah 60. Previously, I prayed sitting, facing Kaabah in a hotel room, hospital, and office because I don't trust the floor to be clean. Another time, the hotel room had no space, so I sat on the chair. Also, I sometimes I have muscle pain and fatigue, I feel giddy, so I prayed sitting. Later, after painkillers and nap, I feel better. I pray normal. Any comments when I pray sitting. ❤
may Allah reward you and accept your Salahs :) what my parents did when we would travel and had to spend time at a hotel was they used the hotel towels to pray on instead of praying on the floor because as we all know .. the floors are indeed filthy. so they would just get a long towel provided from the hotel, face it towards the Qibla and pray

Because of spinal problems, I use a cane everywhere and carry a folding chair to the mosque. I have to make sure the points of my cane and chair which touch the ground/ floor are clean from najis before entering the mosque or area where I'm going to do salah.

My problem is in my left shoulder...so I start my prayer standing , I perform ruk'u as normal but sit down for sujjud because of pain in the shoulder. Every second at work could be of serious security concern,that requires prompt attention,or response.I am in uniform all the time at work,with boots on,that can't be removed even for wudu,because the next security alert might signal a life threatening emergency.As security,our break is a paid break. Meaning,that you have to respond to a code, even during your break. So, taking off one's boots for wudu and prayer is a big challenge,for a timely response to emergencies. As Salamu Alaikum, you not clear on many points. One point that is not clear that your neck should in line with everyone praying in your line. If no one is praying behind your chair, you can stand to start your prayer, bow as normal but move the chair forward to prostrate and finish the rest of the prayer sitting down so your neck is in line with rest of the brothers. Is this correct? Give reference. And in congregation prayer if you cannot move your chair back, then start your prayer sitting down and finish your prayer sitting down. Is this correct? Give reference.
Then the whole world is a masjid and Allah is everywhere. Just make niya and preform salah in sha Allah the almighty is most mercy all knowing forgiving.
There is just one issue I have for one that uses the chair in congregation. If he can only stand and not prostrate and his feet are leveled with the person next to him, his chair would make it impossible for a person in the row behind him to prostrate, because the back of the chair is pushed back, therefore, the chair should be placed in the position if he can't stand at all, which will make the person in the row behind him, capable to prostrate.

praying on chair in case unable to stand or make other positions with pain, unless you have to pray standing on clean mat

I have operation in my knees. And arthritis due to that I get fatigued while praying then I flop on the chair and pray sitting. Am I wrong?
