Regarding buying a barrel, I've looked into it before. They will keep it for a set amount of years (8 to 10 for the ones i saw) then charge you storage after that. They may also charge a bottling fee, shipping fee and alcohol tax at the end. Overall, it can double the cost of the whisky.

    Hey Guys:
I am an Irish Gaelic speaker with familiarity with Scottish Gaelic. In Scottish Gaelic, AN CUAN MOR (Un Koo un More) means The big Ocean or Sea See also, Cunard Line the well established Scottish Ocean going shipping company. CUNARD is an Anglicized spelling of CUAN ARD=HIGH SEAS.
In Irish Gaelic CUAN MOR means Big Harbor

I stood in line to get Stranahan's Snowflake Batch #21 last Friday and I'm saving one of my 2 bottles for my future son/daughter's 21st birthday. We're not even expecting yet, but the earliest I could possibly gift that whiskey is 2040. I'll be 51 years old. Guess I better be setting a monthly reminder to turn that bottle...

One suggestion for his child's 21st birthday would be the Balvenie 21 Port. To buy one now not knowing anything about what his whisky tastes will be could be challenging. I would be looking for a malt that is not considered polarizing in the flavor profile.

I recently won (twice) £50 to spend at the Whisky Exchange, The first time I opted for Glendmorangie Quinta Ruban which was £44 and a small 200ml bottle of Glenfarclas 105. I had to pay a little more and pay for delivery. Without the Glendfarclas it would have all been free.
The second win I went for a bottle of Willet Pot Still Reserve which is £64 over here. So had to contribute towards its cost plus delivery.
So I have done both, gone cheaper and then more expensive. All excellent drinks.

@Daniel - How do you compare the LORE with this An Cuan Mor? Could you do a comparison someday if you haven't already?
I've found it hard to choose between the two, but you once declared Lore to be your favourite Lapphie so i'm wondering if this ACM altered your view? To expand on that, how do you feel the Lore and the An Cuan Mor compare not only to each other but also to the Laphroaig 18yo?

Dear Daniel, I recently purchased a (quite expensive) Laphroaig An Cuan Mòr. I’ve noticed that the bottle has some sort of very small particles floating around. Looking from behind the green glass they appear to be brown. Could this be residue from the cork or is it because the whisky is not chill-filtered? Either way, how do I/should I get rid of it? Do I need to return the bottle?

I know this is old, but a warlock is a wizard/sorcerer who has broken a rule/code of conduct. At least this is what I was informed of from another fellow sorcerer that I know. Furthermore, wizard is the term commonly used within fantasy or folklore, the common term among male and female IS indeed a witch.

This video makes me realize that I don't actually use "wizard" or "witch" that often. Maybe it's due to years of playing Final Fantasy, but I usually use "mage" or "magician", both of which happen to be completely gender neutral. When I hear "wizard" I do think male, and "witch" female, and while semantically they are an equivalent pair (i.e. they both refer to a practitioner of magic), pragmatically "witch" does tend to have more negative connotations.

most practitioners tend to steer away from the term warlock for this reason:
Old English wǣrloga ‘traitor, scoundrel, monster’, also ‘the Devil’, from wǣr ‘covenant’ + an element related to lēogan ‘belie, deny’. From its application to the Devil, the word was transferred in Middle English to a person in league with the Devil, and hence a sorcerer. It was chiefly Scots until given wider currency by Sir Walter Scott.

Bought a Bowmore 10 in the airport. Accidentally pronounced it the way Daniel (Dan😝) does, the salesman hadn't a clue and corrected me saying Bow-More...I looked like a tit, thanks Dan 😥
