Just bought vorpx over a week now and still can't get it working. Haven't played a god damn game. Wish I heard of this before.
I've only used it on a couple games. Shipbreaker and Sailaway
It doesnt work well with every game. Once you get used to the tinkering you could have some good experiences.
I think sniper ghost warrior 3 was one of the best vorpx experiences for me. Felt almost native VR.
was trying to play witcher 3 but was a slideshow everytime. I have RTX 3080ti
I just read a test log list for games that work for this UEVR mod injector. That aforementioned UEVR test log list which I've read has hundreds of games on it.
One of multiple games I was hoping would work well with the UEVR mod injector is Terminator Resistance. It's on that list! 😯
Hopefully, it currently works well, or at least will work well, and also work well with all of Terminator Resistance's officially released DLC, too. I'm planning on checking it out.
Edit: And since I mentioned robots, Robocop Rogue City is on that same UEVR mod injector test log list, too! 😯
The Terminator game was done by the same devs who did Robocop which I showed in this video, so will work.

That sounds amazing. I am on PSVR 2, and there was recent news about Sony's patent allowing any game to be played in VR. This is something similar I guess.

I subscribed because I see that you too are not in your twenties anymore but a little older. I'm 66 and into VR since 2016. Well in fact allready loved to play in 3D since my early 30ties, but 30 years ago it was not easy and very expensive.

Amazing! I think once everyone get their hands on this, we could soon see other modders further refining individual games to perfection: like adding laser sights, manual reloading, ways to pick up and freely look at items etc.
Exciting times! I'm really looking forward to being able use it. Thanks for going there and giving us a great review. The amazing thing is that the developers won't just add a VR mode to the games in the first place. They could say the vr is beta in case there are any little problems but most VR player would love it. At least in UE it shouldn't be to hard since they can do it with a mod.
This sure looks promising. I wonder how those newer unreal 5 games are going to look/run. Anyways we always have 5090's coming out within a year or so hehe.
That's actually the biggest problem. Cyberpunk in Luke Ross VR is just something else, but you need indeed like a 5090 to really enjoy it to the fullest. It's amazing what these modders are doing.

It's a shame that we have to mod old games to play in VR rather than developers making an effort to releasing proper VR releases of their games!
Perfect example is the latest Half Life 2 VR mod! Valve could have easily ported Half Life and Portal into VR but instead it had to be fan made.
This is why I love PC gaming. Modders make many things possible. We didn't get official Resident Evil VR games on PC, but modders came to the rescue.
Oh man I've been waiting on this release and it's looking amazing! The fact I have the choice to play a game in 3rd person or 1st person vr is what I really like! I don't wana play certain games in 1st person, 3rd person will be just as enjoyable! Cannot wait! Thanks PD!!
i have waited for years to play Star Trek Stage 9 desktop version in VR. I have modded the VR version extensively but want to see the locations, the Holodeck etc.

I used quest 2 then got quest 3when that came out.
My living room is also my VR space and used to have to take lighthouse on tripods up and down. So inside out is a blessing and feels good enough.

Yeah, every time I hear or see anything about this mod setup, the more excited I get for it. I imagine people like me with mountains of flat screen UE games that I don't play much, would love for a chance to experience even a small amount of them in VR (outside of VorpX, which seems to either work decently, or horrifyingly).

There has been so many times that I wished I could play some off-road style racing games in VR, don't get me wrong there are a few but they sometimes just don't feel or look right. ( Dirt Rally 2.0 for one is fun but looks awful ) I have vorpX and well.. I just either can't get it to look right or my PC is not good enough to run at a smooth frame rate and upgrading is my PC is not an option at the moment.

I have a question. Will the UEvr injector allow world scale adjustments. I really like shrinking down the world/character. That's a very cool 3d vr effect.

PD, were the PrayDog team saying that their method doesn't need to render the geometry/image twice for each eye (which you were alluding would be computationally expensive)? All I heard I think was them saying that the stereoscopic 3D effect is performed at the front of the pipeline as an advantage in contrast to other methods out there.

the Resident Evil game mods made me nauseous, unfortunately, and I never get sick in VR. it was probably all the cut scenes in those games. I'm very hopeful that with this injector that it might work with some less intense games. how did games feel in 3 dof? I like to play sitting down, so that might be my preferred method.
It felt great in 3Dof and sat down.
Did you make sure to download the "smooth locomotion" mods for the Resident Evil games? Makes a huge difference for VR.

How will it fair against game updates, will it need constant updates? Just wondering if some games potenially won't work after one?
It works with the unreal engine and the games run on that engine. So i guess no problem.
@@michelverheijen6643 yeah, that makes sense :) It’s the game engine not the game as such
Extremely resilient to game updates. Only Easy Anti Cheat or if they moved to some brand new unreleased game engine like UE 5.4 and it somehow needs some small tweaks to get working. 5.2 worked fine but did need a few small bug updates to fix a few of the newer features. Never experienced a game update make things worse, generally performance has been better after visiting a game on launch compared to a few months later.
Nice one PD, chrisrmas is coming man. Glad you validated the 3ds better than Reshade like actual 3d, was a bit worried. Hope Luke Ross is making notes here to improve his mod like when AER kicks in.
If this is open source, what is to stop developers creating click and play tailor made ports for their own games and then charging for them. I hope Praydog is able to benefit monetarily from any such projects.

I heard you say there is a setting to make the view track to HMD view, WOW. Can you ask them to add in a setting to turn on JUMP tracked to HDM as an option. Quake PC VR by Vittorio Romeo is the only VR port I have found that does this. It is amazing for room scale fps. Thanks for the video.

With all of these camera + character options, am I right in thinking that this mod allows for Full natural walking ARENA scale movement and not just a limited standing/sitting only 6dof movement like many VorpX mods?

@matthewfuller9760 You might be thinking of 3dof vs 6dof. I was referring to 6dof standing/siting only vs full arena scale 6dof - which allows you to use real walking for much larger than the size of the guardian
@@brettcameratraveler Yeah I need full motion tracking of walking. I wasn't sure if that was synonymous with 6dof. I get sick when motion control is taken away. For example, when sitting in the back of a vehicle in VR and I do not control it. Or if the camera has moved the avatar forward when walking but I am stationary.
Hope this comes out soon. This will give me a lot more games to explore when I get my quest 3 soon!

I love VR and returnal, own a quest 3 and a good pc but i get motion sick even in assassins creed nexus. I pass just because of this.
They are catering for people with Motion Sickness.
@@ParadiseDecay How? Returnal has fast movement and you are controlling the character and are standing still. That causes the motion sickness.

This is what people expected first time they heard avout VR... That tou could just play any game in VR, question was just does a hand controllers work as hands or juat as Xbox controllers.
It was always annoying to explain that VR doesn't work that way. And that was what really killed the idea of VR in peoples minds, as they didnt understand technology. Not their fault really, but these game engine developers who have had even stereo rendering for 3D classes since forever.
Thankfully so many new unreal engine games now comes possible experience nicely.
This is going to allow the Bioshock VR that everyone has always wanted!
older unreal so probably unlikely. Bioshock does work quite well with vorpx though

So basically this will lead to Epic just creating their own and making it apart of UE by standard. Allowing game developers to streamline development processes. Still nice work and very very very cool.

Hitman uses the Glacier Engine. The Unreal Engine mod won't work for it, unfortunately.
After recently trying the Cyberpunk 2077 VorpX mod and being somewhat disappointed with the artifacts and ghosting this is really great news. When PD said no artifacts I was like YES! Finally. Now how can we support this man to get the mod out ASAP! Thanks PD 👊
there is not artifacts because it is no real geometric 3d. its only SBS. the hype is not justified.

Awesome content, I don't own any proper hardware or Quest 3 , but I'll get it soon, so excited!!!
you should cross the eyes few seconds after a vr session, helps deter the side effects, i not got a single prob since then, still cant move around alot, no quick movements or some disorientation shows, and try keep vision relaxed not looking at the screen with intense focus. If the issues present themselves then close the eyes and relax the vision and cross them to change their focus, i think the vr is slightly turning the visions focus lens in some way its not necessarily unatural so thsts why ppl been okay with it. Although i suspect alot ppl get prolonged issues and resort to rest and no vr. So this is an easy trick why no one talk about maybe the companies afraid admit this
While this looks really exciting, what's the performance hit? Unless they've found a way to minimize that for VR somehow most people are going to need top tier rigs for this.
That will totally depend on the game you're trying to play. There are over 1000 Unreal 4 and5 games to choose from :)

Ocarina of Time is being remade in Unreal Engine 5.3.1. Once it's out, the mod will most likely work with it.

How is this different from VorpX?
Night and day different.
Most of the games actually work and are in native geometry 3d. Vorpx cant even get most games to display in geo3d.

Because this mod is essentially enable a native vr function of unreal engine4&5 that has been disabled by non vr game when shipped. Thus the quality is just like a native vr game except the specific vr gameplay

@@ParadiseDecaya very small zip folder that you extract to somewhere on your pc. Open the program, prompts to restart as administrator (does it for you) with a button. Then well, you are good to go. Pick your game and inject!
