If anyone thought the crowd's reaction was good on TV, then you missed a lot more in the stands. I sat on the entry to Turn 1 and saw the entire thing. The crowd immediately erupted before the crash even happened. We knew it was gonna happen. The whole "I had a flat tire" story is all wrong. Once he hooked onto Logano's rear bumper, he kept going. It was the best takeout/revenge I've seen in a long time.

The key in this case is the timing. This wreck denied Logano to be in the final race. Well deserved justice. Logano denied Kenseth a well deserved victory.
This was an appropriate response by Matt Kenseth. His chase hopes came to an end at Kansas because of Logano, and now Logano's hopes are essentially done because of Kenseth, so now Logano knows how it feels. I was at home on the TV and the crowd was cheering and very happy, and so was I!

Ok I'm a Penske/Keselowski fan and I gotta say this: I have no problem with what Matt did to Joey. Joey had his coming. He messed with the bull at Kansas and the bull let it slide. He messed with the bull again at Talladega and Kenseth only let it slide because of the Harvick incident. Ealier in the race he bumped Logano and passed him clean. Perfectly fine with that. In my opnion, Kenseth never intended to take Joey out UNTIL the contact Keselowski because of Joey, I think he would have done a regular martinsville spin. Like I said, I am a fan of Penske and Keselowski (not Joey though, never liked him), but Kenseth had enough of being bullied by Penske cars. I do think that what happened between Kes, Kurt, and Matt was pure racing, but I'm not gonna say that Kes has nothing to worry about because he should and if NASCAR doesn't suspend Matt, Matt is well within his rights to race Keselowski tough, rough, and hard for the rest of the year. Been a fan of Kenseth ever since I saw him win the 2007 Auto Club 500, and I remember when Logano began racing in 2008. I never really cared for Logano, but after Kansas, I wanted this to happen, and I knew that Joey had it coming, but I'm pissed that Matt was suspended from the Texas race, one of my favorite races of the year. I actually want Gordon to win the championship at this point, I'm glad he won the race and not Logano.
I think that's one of the most hilarious things I've seen in NASCAR in years. I didn't think Kenseth had the cojones. Obviously, I was wrong, and the shade of Curtis Turner still walks among us. :))
My wife and I were watching the race and had to take a double take. I figured Kenseth was going to do something, but didn't know it was going to be this and this soon. Logano was sooner or later going to get some sort of payback from somebody out on the track. Last couple seasons or so he's been tapping a bunch of people out there and definitely several of the veterans. I'm wondering how aggressive and desperate Logano gets now that he basically has to win to be in at Homestead. He can still make it though. The 22 team has been strong all year so its possible he still makes it. Will make the next two races interesting for sure.

Also there is no difference whether or not Kenseth was a lap down an wrecked him on purpose. Kenseth lost his chance to make the chase because Logano spun him the previous week. In both instances they dropped points and I don't want to hear this shit about it being a "wreckless" payback, Kansas is a much faster track an who knows where Kenseth's car could have ended up at that speed. Imagine him over correcting an we see another McDowell wreck.

+Crypteass No, Kenseth lost his chance to make the chase because he blocked Logano way more than is acceptable on a non restrictor plate track, and Logano quite rightly put the bumper to him. I find it astonishing that anyone could view Logano as the bad guy in that situation. I like both drivers, but when you block someone right up into the wall, you've _got_ to realize that he's going to move you at that point. There's not a competitive driver on the planet who wouldn't have booted Kenseth in that situation.
The fact people were cheering for that is the cherry on top of the cake. lol

Been a fan of Kenseth ever since I saw him win the 2007 Auto Club 500, and I remember when Logano began racing in 2008. I never really cared for Logano, but after Kansas, I wanted this to happen, and I knew that Joey had it coming, but I'm pissed that Matt was suspended from the Texas race, one of my favorite races of the year. I actually want Gordon to win the championship at this point, I'm glad he won the race and not Logano.

As somebody who hates Logano, this was very satisfying to see, as well as Gordon winning it. Easily the best race in years.
My wife and I were watching the race and had to take a double take. I figured Kenseth was going to do something, but didn't know it was going to be this and this soon. Logano was sooner or later going to get some sort of payback from somebody out on the track. Last couple seasons or so he's been tapping a bunch of people out there and definitely several of the veterans. I'm wondering how aggressive and desperate Logano gets now that he basically has to win to be in at Homestead. He can still make it though. The 22 team has been strong all year so its possible he still makes it. Will make the next two races interesting for sure.

That was beautiful, I had seats in turn 1 and what a race it was. From the our seats it did look like Matt's tire went down when he got into Lagano.
This was awesome to see in person. I was there at the race, and the bleachers lit up like electric. I've never saw so many people cheer at once
And the crowd goes wild! Whether they admit it or not, Nascar loves this for the ratings!
