I think you guys are doing a better job of trimming down the fluff. I appreciate that the intro was 5 minutes instead of 15 and the transitions were only like a minute.
Using lycanthropes into an adventure introduces the potential for infection of PCs, which can dramatically alter the campaign. I was looking for DM advice in dealing with this. Maybe next time.
@@evangregory14 This only works if the player WANTS to be cured. As I almost found out recently. eventually the player never went through with it, but it was very close for a while.
There are basic rules on the D&D website! I believe there is even a tab at the top of the page labeled "New to D&D" If you want to just jump in, the newest D&D starter set box is available ($13.00?) And Matt Colville has a channel with a video for new players (very handy). Or just type new to D&D in any search bar anywhere!
It's not massive, all you need is to either download the basic rules and make up your own adventure, or get the starter set (which has everything you need to see if you like it, rules, adventure, dice, and characters). Then if you like it get the Players Handbook (and Monster Manual & Dungeon Master's Guide if you plan on running the game), and that's all you need.
I am relatively new. Going to repeat some of what has been said. The perception of this game being "to big" to start playing with out help if an experienced player is totally understandable, and I am sure that helps. I just jumped in with out knowing anybody that plays, and now a year later I have 2 campaigns that I am running and 1 that I am playing. Honestly so much fun. Get the box starter set and go from there. If you are not good at improvising, read the box set story when you get it, easily done in an afternoon. Oh, and rules definitely come second to fun.
Im not sure what the negatives are to being a were... like it seems it wiukd be a full oj upgrade if ur say a barbarian why wouldn't u want to get bitten by a werebear?
You want to be a born Lycanthrope not an infected. the ones who get bite cant control it and get more limited benifts that dont really pay off agaisnt the drawbacks.
Skip to 4:50 for when the LYSK starts.
Dank u .U little fuk
From most myths Ravens stand for wisdom and insight. Crows are the ones that are symbols of bad omen or dead things.
There is also the Lythari, a kind of good aligned elf werewolf that acts like a guardian of some kind.
interesting insights on the shadowfell's relation to portals/events and misery and tragedy! Reminds me a bit of Dark Souls

I know this is old but remover curse is a relatively low level spell, Just have someone who can cure them around

Rooster 9 thank you it just seems so massive I’m intimidated
best thing to remember is that fun supersedes the rules! you don't need to worry about getting things 110% right so long as you're enjoying yourself
