- Police in Mpumalanga have arrested 95 Libyan nationals at a suspected military training camp in Masoyi outside White River. The arrests were made after the Department of Home Affairs raised concern about a group of foreign nationals misrepresented themselves when they applied for Visas to come into South Africa. It is alleged the group arrived in April 2024 and was commissioned to train as security personnel but it later emerged they were in fact part of a military training programme. SABC News Reporter Tumelo Machogo tracks the story.

You cannot enter country with a training visa without a letter of being excepted from the training facility. It must also be proven that the training facility is registered and a letter accompanying by each application. It is that simple
