      nice comment, I think his voice is funny too, but most importantly what it wasn't funny is the bunch of things I've wasted because of me ignoring this kind of fix could be done or was even posible. Thanks to Mr. Edy for sharing this clip, this is VERY USEFUL INFO.

    Definitely will try to do that. My ffc went apart when dismounting campact camera. The ffc was from zoom motor. Thanks mate.

      Same thing happened to me on my Panasonic LX100!!
      The zoom motor ffc AND my AF/MF ffc switch

      @@averagejoebitcoin I couldn't manage it so I ordered new part(two to be more precised) to replace the motor. It's working fine now. It is a bit louder then original but it work's

    I watched all your videos and liked every single of them. Keep up the great work! I looked up how to fix a flex cable because I found a old phone from a friend. Friend bought a new screen for his phone, but the touch isn't working because the flex cable has a slight tear. Sucks! I will try to fix it with your technique (I have nothing to loose).

      I use superglue, it is easy to remove from the glass later with a razor blade, and it helps the cable to not bend in the damaged area

    The solder looks so thick. Looks like you will have bridging between the individual circuits. Maybe try a liquid solder to get a little better definition.

    Do you need some right temperature to do this? I've trashed a flex ribbon for a baby monitor LCD screen as the heating made the wire black and break them... So didn't worked for my case (even tinier strings and normal , non-reg temp iron)

      This is the most common soldering iron - what temperature? - wait until it is completely hot. Then a single touch of a soldering iron will do just what you want. Of course If you hold soldering iron on wires - for long time, the wires will overheat and damage the insulation

    I tried to resolder a ribbon cable that broke from a small mp3. unfortunately the rupture occurred right where the ribbon entered the LCD, so i didnt had sufficient soldering spaces to resolder the cable
