I know you are a Filipino, many technician here in PH, said Yes. But you will recieve a more damage device that cannot be repaired by other technician. 🤣
first thing about finding out the problem of flex cable , then you cannot buy one on any site. I give up on this job, but MASTER SORIN has a lot of patience, with the proper tools and of course SHAKE FREE HANDS, he did the most impossible job of fixing flex cable, unbelievable, then THATS CRAZY, WE HAVE PICTURE.... Congratulations for a job well done. Pizza is coming.
When I saw the damage of that cable I stopped the video an read the title again. And again. I could'nt believe that the title said "repair". Are you crazy ? What's to repair here? This is pure madness. You have extraordinary patience, Sorin. But you're also a little crazy at the same time :)) Awesome repair, man, awesome. Standing ovation!!!
I just ripped one of the panel flex cables on a Samsung TV while replacing the backlight. I actually found your video/channel while searching for tips on repairing that cable. Thank you for sharing and you got a new subscriber!
Respect on this one Sorin!.... I've been reparing electronic goods for 30 years and when I seen this one even I thought that one's a skip job. Nice job!
I have to admire your patience, ingenuity and skill. I have tried on a number of occasions to repair ribbon cables with only limited success. Never anything of that construction and size. I'm impressed.
I rarely write comments but your skills are crazy, I know how much patience it takes to repair such a flex, and you do it like soldering a regular cable. Good job!
You sir are my drug of choice! I get a high when you say: "WE HAVE PICTURE!!!! THAT'S CRAZEEEE." It always makes my day and I'm a happy chappy. Keep up the miracle fixes / cures for many years to come. Wunderbar.
Absolutely disgusting repair! Nice one. I've repaired holes in these ribbons with conductive ink + poking hole to the trace. This was on a Razer Blade 15 keyboard cable.
Sorin, you are a legend! If anyone reading has ever tried this themselves then they may appreciate just how amazingly skillful this repair is. Very few technicians would attempt this, they would just tell the customer "sorry, you can't buy the cable, you need another screen. " Amazing work. What I never understand when I see videos like this is how the hell did it get like this and who kept that damage quiet when they had done it?
Nice repair. It takes lots of patience and confidence. As we speak, somewhere in China, a worker is secretly sending the design of a flex cable to a near by factory.
SORIN I wish you were a medical surgeon, you would hav done miracles to humanity. This should not be categorized as repairs, a new word should be added to the dictionary for this thing. How you can put a hot soldering iron on a flexible ribbon cable without melting and messing the whole thing, leave alone adding a dust of solder and welding a hair-wire to it, and repeat that over and over again, Please make a video only on this explaining the temperature used, the type of wire and solder etc., Please Please.
Just goes in for an FPC repair like it's nothing. Nightmare to find FPC cables sometimes so this is a great repair job. seriously good skills and patience. Love this channel 💖💖
i can see some rubber layer between shield and the track. not plastic but Rubber, and also cant wait longer for the silver laptop you show at the closing repair. 😬
There is a special conducting tape for this work which just conducts vertically and not horizontally so you just need to apply tape on the damaged cable.
I have never completed a repair on a flex cable like that. I have tried but gave up, accidentally scraped away tracks, cut, try again.... This was a very hard repair.
A skilled technician requires a steady hand, meticulous attention to detail, and the right instruments just as a surgeon uses essential tools like scalpels, forceps, and surgical scissors to perform intricate procedures.
Thanks for sharing the process! I have a family member whose laptop ahs experienced the same issue but its so jarring there is no way for me to easily fix this without learning some kind of micro soldering.
Must say I think that was the hardest repair I've watched. Pretty sure 99% of people would walk away from that one. Well done 🎉. Crazy how big are those tracks 0.5mm?

Wow! A proper difficult repair. Well done Sorin. Another saved from landfill. You've had practice for the second one. You'll fly through that repair 😊👍
Reminds me of some MacBook flexgate repairs. This is a known issue with these Razer Blade laptops and this cable tearing due to opening and closing the screen.
That middle layer is rubbery, probably easier to remove it with the iron. Or you can do it from the front too, but the flex stays more rigid if the glued part stays and you only remove the rubber side. Anyways, nice. Oh and you missed that pink tape that keeps the cable from rubbing on the case, kapton tape would work too.
Many technician would have said no, but Sorin never even think twice. What a legend!

id take him over all the dentists ive had in the last 20years 😂
@@luminousfractal420 haha, same.
Honest to god, he would make far more money and have thousands of happy customers in the UK looking to book a service.
