2 Minutes is normal. Eagle one is always near the battlefield and only heads back to resupply that... you guessed it takes 2 minutes. The is still pretty fast. Hellpods are just a spike with a rocket behind it. of course it moves fast, for both eagle 1 and pelican 1 they dont have reentry effects. Hellpods do, showing there going FAR faster then a ship. Normally I always have the landing gear and docking port away from each other for this reason. If I were to make the pelican from Helldivers 2 I would make it so the docking port was vertical topside to try and mitigate things like that (although eagle one is what should have the top side docking port).

The pelican does an evasive launch, first taking a wide circle before boosting upwards at a gradual incline to put horizontal and vertical distance between it and the extraction zone where there are presumably hundred of enemies. This is to avoid getting shot down and make it harder for ground enemies to lead their shot.
@@meepx13 if you look underneath the pelican in the game it looks like a lift so maybe pelican one lands underneath the ship on the platform and gets liftet into the hanga

Aka space engineers and a bunch of space games have similar collision glitches that are called the kraken because they can just randomly curse you and tear your ships apart. There's things called kraken drives too that use this collision glitch type stuff to propel ships at ridiculous speeds

how was the thruster orientation controlled? was it just a bunch of pre set orientations you were switching through or were some of the controls controlled by scripts and ai? might need a second video just going over the control/building of the pelican lol
