- What REALLY Happened to Iga Świątek?
Tennis is facing a crisis, and it’s not just about banned substances-it’s about trust. Just months after men’s world No. 1 Jannik Sinner tested positive for clostebol, the tennis world was rocked again. Five-time Grand Slam champ Iga Świątek took to Instagram to reveal she, too, failed a drugs test. What happened to Iga? Why did it happen? And what does it mean for her career and the tennis world?

Just leave Iga alone please, she is not a cheat, she is a hell of good talented tennis player...
Iga was not just unlucky to get a contaminated product, but very lucky to be able to give the ITIA a sealed container of the Product from the same batch - because Lekam the manufacturer couldn't, she is a drug cheat
yeah right, people are so dumb, u are so dumb
Iga Świątek is NOT a doper ! Please haters respect the player and return at school to read the ITIA final rapport !!
Jazda Iga ! Come back us stronger great athlete 🇵🇱🎾💪📈🕊❤❤❤.
Let's go Iga❤❤❤
Appreciate the comment and thanks for watching our video!
For me she is innocent.
Iga,All good #1
Thanks for the comment and for watching our video!
Sensational nonsense.
Why does everyone say that Iga "accepted" the suspension? Did anyone ask Simona Halep if she was willing to accept?
She is innocent, so she did not cheat on anything. Head up Iga, all good!
She knows best what's taken or not taken...
Yeah, innocent, that's the word😆
Iga will definitely appreciate the support!. Thanks for watching our video
Based on information we have I don’t agree that system is not working. Using banned substances is not the same as accidental contamination in very very very small amounts and should not be judged the same way.
Iga was able to quickly prove her right not like some of the players, thus shorter the suspension I believe.
I dont think iga or Sinner are deliberate cheaters at all and i like them but Simona lost years for the same reason - contamination when she was at her highest
It just seems a mess either way and yet i like them all but the abuse Halep got and it all turns out its the same result - contamination all through Williams ex coach who is swanning around still coaching major high profile players
Just seems a mess but yet with some favoritism
As for Halep, her claim of contamination has not been proved in the supplement samples provided to WADA by Halep. There was no physical prove of contamination, but that's what she claimed. Besides, Halep's Bio Passport was showing irregularities consistent with doping, that's why initially she received four-year suspension (standard in such cases). CAS decreased her suspension to 9 months upon appeal-so, she received o lot smaller penalty.
Every case is different and there is a lot of hypocrisy, hate, and frustration of other players poured on Iga and others. That is shame.
I don't think it's favoritism. Jannik and Iga were lucky and having enough money, were able to quickly prove the source of their positive test. Halep has never proven the source of her positive test - just supplements. But which one? She thinks it was some protein mix from China. She also failed 6 months later her biological passport test.
@@stefanbednarz4192 Halep had MORE money than Iga.
Very different cases, even if Halep tries to paint them as identical. They were not identical.
It's still a mess either way Halep had none of this with Darren Cahill no wonder Sinner and Iga have both changed teams? Halep isn't trying to say anything I am (along with Kim Clisters, Chris Evett and Billy Jean King!) she's been silent. My point is back in the day if anything was found an investigation happened then player allowed back on tour. They keep silent about Sinner even though his was an actual steroid and he wins 2 slams (and good I like him) and Iga that's not my point it's the constant changing they keep silent let them carry on playing then speak out or give them a months ban, it's the injustice and main players have even said the same. Halep was totally screwed over even Sharapova never got that long and hers was intentional. An ice skater has just been banned for 4 yrs for testing positive on the same level as Iga? Lots of Polish and Russian players abuse it and it improves body function and is a heart medication yet she took it apparently as a sleeping pill on a plane
I like Iga and Poland btw Aga the ninja was tge best but I just think the whole way in which they are now dealing with these cases is a mess and not fair on previous cases
Just stop-tainted melatonin doesn’t make you a great tennis player. The “doping” program is trash
The real problem is the presumption of guilt once you test positive. This combined with the better technology means more and more players need to explain themselves. It is the richer players who can afford the laboratory tests on everything to track down the source of contamination. So we have a rule that favours richer players. So why not change the rule and introduce tolerance level? Yes this mean a sophisticated cheater could beat the system but do we want a system that penalize innocent players. That is the choice. Look what happens in the criminal law system when an innocent person is wrongly accused, confidence in the system decreases. So it is also the case with anti-doping system, confidence in the system decreases when an innocent player is wrongly accused especially one who can’t afford the expertise needed to clear their name.
In criminal cases people are no long er called suspects, they are called persons of interests or persons assisting with police enquiries. Reason - once you affix a label you can never wash away completely. So increasing disclosure does increase trust, it decrease it. People will always question how the person got let off so quickly.
There is no simple answer to the problem. However, we need to respect the rights of players (just the law respect the rights of those accused a crime) and stop the paranoid about cheating. This is because it is the players who pay costs of this paranoid.
If we all say that the rules must change , when ? After ruining definitely Sinner and Iga or take their cases as an esemple?
It's definitely a complex situation, and it's important to consider how changes can impact players like Iga and Sinner. Hopefully, we can find a balance that promotes fairness in the sport.
I dont think shes a doper but look at how tgey have changed the rules
It ruined Halep and everyone beat on Sharapova yet Sinner and Iga continue to play and win and i like both of them especially Sinner but i dont think its fair on previous players Haleps was contamination and Sharapovas was legal the month before due to Williams ex coach who is now still now floating round the tour coaching top players ?
As for Halep, her claim of contamination has not been proved in the supplement samples provided by Halep. There was no physical prove of contamination, but that's what she claimed. Besides, Halep's Bio Passport was showing inconsistences consistent with doping, that's why initially she received four-year suspension (standard in such cases). CAS decreased her suspension to 9 months upon appeal-so, she received o lot smaller penalty.
Every case is different and there is a lot of hypocrisy, hate, and frustration of other players poured on Iga and others. That is shame.
I understand and I like both Sinner and Iga but the rules used to be if it's found to be anything in the system then the player has to step down until investigating is done - now it seems like a free for all and different rules for each person by paper Sinner would not have won 2 slams this year if this rule still stood (I'm glad he did cause I like him) it was an actually steroid in his case. Haleps case was infact proven in the end that it was down to contamination also (that's why she could answer Wozniackis sly comments on her and "how she always speaks out on a clean sport, yet she's said Zero about Sinner or Iga she's just a hypocrite" my point is if anything is found and investigation should take place then let them back on the tour or do it the other way keep Sinners secret until they chose and continue letting him win slams I personally think Halep was treated poor along with Clisters, Chris Evett, and the list goes on who said the same! That's why she said in her press conference "I didn't cheat its been proven it was a contaminated sunstance"
The whole system is a mess and it angers me no wonder Sinner and Iga have both changed teams?
Halep was totally screwed over even Sharapova didn't get that long and hers was intentional or she didn't check a list
OMG that is why she runs faster that Ussain BOlt
For the same reason...that wisdom was chasing you, but you were faster. :-)
@@artuditu67 But never as fast as you.
Did she or did Not is not my question. I am interested in a reasonable explaination as to how contamination took Place
Same production line.
What brand of this Melatonin producer that Iga consumed? Can anyone tell me?
LEK-AM
@Xyrtian Thanks for your info. So Iga bought this Lek Am Melatonin in Poland.. okay.. thanks.
Yes, it was bought in Poland. And the manufacturer is being controlled now by the pharmaceutical inspector. Btw the company manufacturers both substancies melatonin and trimetazidine so its very likely that it got contaminated at the plant.@patrickgodwin6115
@patrickgodwin6115 it's a drug that Polish and Russian players use to cheat an ice skater has just got a 4yr ban for the same thing apparently Iga took it as a sleeping pill (even though it's a heart medication) no wonder her and Sinner have changed teams! I like them both and don't think they would cheat but the way it's delt with is a f*****n joke both boiled down to contamination which was the same for Simona Halep yet she got slated big time an basically ended her career. The double standards are a joke Sinners was kept quiet and he wins 2 more slams (well done I like him) but Haleps case took so long she actually ended up doing more than Sharapova who intentional done it
I like Iga And Jannic but what happened to simona was just wrong even Clisters, Chris Evett and Andy Rodick all said the same - so that's what the drug is anyway hope this helps
@@kevingee1430 Thanks for your info. Stay healthy.
I do not know what to believe anymore. Who's right, who's wrong? Is anyone cheating here? or no one? It's hard to see your tennis idols doing such stuff...i find this a sad time in tennis🙁
Money can make you do crazy things, don't you think?😁
What are the facts? Think about it?
Read the decision ITIA:
"an explanation, supported by expert evidence, that the Player’s negative urine samples
10 days before sample collection on 12 August 2024 and 15 days afterwards (as well as
hair tests that detected no TMZ) demonstrate that she could not have used a therapeutic
dose of TMZ between 2 and 12 August because that would have resulted in an Adverse
Analytical Finding much higher than the estimated concentration of TMZ that was
reported (50 pg/ml). "
Check facts instead believe.
You don’t have to think about it, just read about the facts. Everything, the amount of substance, her being tested very often, other pack of the medicine also being contaminated, hair tests, every test negative except this one, fact that the same company produces a medicine containing TMZ - everything proves Iga and even her whole team (usually someone from the team us responsible) is innocent, and the amount of the substance couldn’t have impacted her body
Come on💪👍
Thanks for stopping by! Your support means a lot!
Oups, not so funny when it happens to you Iga. Tough luck!!!😅
She is a machine.
And she plays at her highest level, yeah!!!
@@TennisExtra1 Indeed she does. Just pointing out she has demeanor of a robot/machine on and off the court.
Puerta, Agassi, Rusedski, Swiatek, Sinner.....all grandslam winners or finalists.....all with dopingcases..............
After Sinner it's now Iga...wonder who's next?🤔
I hope these guys pay more attention to what they take as pills or what they eat...we need a clean tennis, not what is happening right now..
All of them 😀
@@AmeliaPearson-iu3nf Sinner never actually took anything. His physio had it on his hands and contaminated Sinner.
Sabalenka or Rybakina
Is it that simple? How co😊😊
Here we go people… if she tested positive please explain to me how that means. She did not take anything. Yes I don’t like her but not for that reason I think she is an incredibly bad sport and that is why.
She is a cheater and she seems to have cheated for a long time and consistently. She needs to give back some of the Porsche she won.
A lot of times when Iga is losing ,the she takes a restroom break. To do doping. And then come out and win the game😂😂😂
She's one of the most tested tennis players. Think twice.
@delanowilson7659 Yeah, every time you go there with her and see her do doping. You're delusional 😂😂
Even a troll should not be this imbecilic.
Kafelnikov is right!
Hate and blind-folded hypocrisy. Iga proved contamination by the certified lab testing of contaminated pills. Iga also, voluntarily, gave her hair samples for testing to two independent labs and both tests came out negative. Hair test can find doping going several years back. Don't say any hate, or judgement, if you don't know the facts. One month suspension to Iga is a standard, and Iga proved her innocence about three weeks after detection of contamination had been found. Has Kafelnikov, or any other athlete, especially those who criticize Iga, or compare her own case to Iga's case given voluntarily, her/his hair samples for testing to two independent labs. In Kafelnikov's era, as a pro player, testing wasn't so rigorous, and measurements of substances were not detecting such tiny quantities in the samples as they do today. So, who know much about his ....?
Kafelnikov is is a clown and a laughing stock of the tennis world.
@@Malcriada115 That might be, or not, the case, but on this issue he is right!
