These videos are fantastic - keep up the great work! Maybe we'll see a tour of some of the clubs in New York (e.g., Long Island, Westchester, etc.) sometime in the future!
I was there in 1982 at The Tournament Players Championship when Jerry Pate won it. He jumped into the pond at 18 after every round with Dean Beaman and Pete Dye. On one day they passed on it because there was a gator in the water. Beautiful course.
Played there last year. Was nervous on the front 9 but got into the groove on the back. Shot 80 from the tips and birdied 17 on the Sunday pin. Was a great experience. Edit: tee times are cheaper in the summer because nobody wants to play in the heat.

I just wanted to say thank you. You inspired me to finally go and try golf and I can’t get enough of it now. I absolutely love your videos and they truly inspired me to play. I can’t thank you enough:)
Love how you mention your sponsors. It's obvious you genuinely like their product which makes it not painful at all for us to watch. They are very lucky to have you!
Thanks bro...Love the "quick" edit look of the holes out on the course!! It makes us mere mortals feel a bit better (when you struggle even a little bit)...keep it up..Peace out!!
Love the video. Played Sawgrass twice after wanting to play it for years. First time nerves got to me and didn't score well. Second time played much better (shot 77) and parred 17. Totally right that you start thinking of that shot early on. Both times an all round great experience and hope to get back there one day.
That was terrific! Glad you showed the gorgeous beach where my little dog loved to run. That course never lets up. I’ll be there again in April! Love this series
I don’t even comment on UA-cam videos, but just wanted to say these are probably my favorite golf videos on UA-cam! Always so cool seeing what the facilities are like at these top tier courses!
one of my favorite rounds was there.... great friends .... road trip..... summer rates........ rained the entire front 9 but we didn't care.... ahhh memories....thanks Matt..
Played this 3 different golf trips. In 2021 At the 17th somehow I hit the green all 3 days.. 3 pars and I was thrilled This is an amazing place, and I enjoyed your video.
I played there back in 2009 and the rough was no joke. The grass seemed to be like a spiderweb and the ball would settle down at the bottom. However, just playing there was fun and I parred the 1st, 17th, and 18th holes. I refuse to tell what I got on the other holes :)
When I was 14 we were on holiday to Florida from the UK. We were playing golf around Orlando and doing the Disney thing. Then one day the family went for a drive and they didn’t tell me or my brother where we were going. Eventually got to Jacksonville but I still didn’t think we’d be going to sawgrass. Then me and my brother saw the sign and we turned in and went for a look round. Then my dad said we were playing it in the morning. Was unreal at that age. Felt sorry for my dad. We played off the comp tees and he was level going down the last until he pulled his tee shot left lol
I played chambers bay when the greens were all bent grass. Double bogeys was a good score. Professional courses are tough, makes you appreciate how good these pga players really are. Thanks bud!
Definitely gotta say that your content is pure gold. Because of you and Rick Shiels are the reason why I bought myself a set of clubs and got back into it. I just got some Callaway Edges, the 2021 versions, but Im Content with it. It’s good enough to get me going and if I continue with it then I’ll upgrade to some nice blades. But I’ve gone to the driving range like 2 or 3 times, that’s it really. Ive had my clubs for about 5 months now but I’ve been busy so I haven’t really been able to get out there but things are slowin down so I’ll be able to head out more but definitely gotta thank you dude. I’m in Florida, if you’re ever in the Treasure Coast of Florida, can you come coach me for a day please? I need some serious help lol
If you’re ever in Washington state, I got you at my club (former tpc) club at snoqualmie ridge. The only jack nicklaus course in Washington state. It’s where the Boeing classic is held for the champions tour every year in august.
I was just there 3 weeks ago, I did a TPC brief tour with one the stellar clubhouse guys named Joe. He was awesome, loved the clubhouse, certainly the best one I have seen by far. Loved that you played it...I will in the future for sure. Great video Matt!!
From recording pitch shots over the pool in the backyard to recording shots at TPC Sawgrass. And with a cart review! Sweet! But maybe Chrissy helped you out a little too much with a drink! 😂
Tuff job you have...Playing golf at the big boys clubs...Nice, enjoy that you share this video with us....You should have played some Nassau to cover your expences....Good round with a double on 17......
A great round that brings back memories. I finished my round birdie 16, par on 17 then double bogie on 18 for a 92. It's VERY intimidating playing the holes you've seen every year at the Players. The staff is extraordinary. The clubhouse is incredible. The caddies are great for tee shots or approach shots. Boy, they suck at reading greens! Make your own judgement on the carpet!
Great video! Have to confess that I’m just starting to watch golf vids again as we get closer to spring. Winters up in Michigan just seem to get longer & longer every year. What a beautiful course and clubhouse there at TPC.
Played there a couple years ago on a stay and play. Great course lots to see and do in the area for a few days. Dream guys vacation , especially with 2 pars on 17.....
Great Series!! My favorite golf channel! Was very lucky to be able to do a week long golf camp at sawgrass when I was a junior golfer!! Clubhouse has great food!
Again love it Matt! Too bad you couldn't sneak your way into the members locker room but don't want to be rude. 77 is a great round there and I'd be jumping for joy with an 87 honestly!
HAHAHAHA LOVE THESE BRO. MAN I HOPE YOU AND OLD RICKY SHIELS DO AN AWSOME COLAB ONE DAY MATE. YOU TWO HAVE THE BEST PERSONALITIES IN ONLINE GOLF 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
Matt, I always took you for an alright guy. Seem nice enough, while delivering us some good content. However, once, after watching one of your older vids way back, and finding out you rocked a 3gen Runner you’re definitely ok in my book!
i walked around 16,17,18 just 4 weeks back. I was amazed I could just walk around. I sat on the 17th watching guys splashing into the water, then taking their lifetime brag souvenir photos. It was a highlight of my 5 wks in JAX
Mr shortgame. I WISH i had your job!!!. I really enjoy your videos and to be fair your golf isnt too bad either. 😁. You are very honest about everything you do. Why is the weather always good when you play. Come and try the UK weather!!!
hang on the star of the show is that cart girl!!!!!!! ive played torrey pines a week after the US OPEN when i was 18 and that rough was no joke u losed your ball in it....you probably have a vid but should do the torrey pines course the one they play during the final rounds
The dyes valley course is at least 5 shots harder than the stadium course! No access into the championship locker room or barber chair. Man there’s so much more to see inside that club house!
How're you ever going to lower yourself to get back to Stonebridge in NW Ga again. Short answer likely is "I'm not." You're new to the Southeast so you might want to check out Hilton Head in SC. All the courses there are lined with oak trees with Spanish moss. Not exactly exotic to the natives here in the south but to an Angelino, yeah.
Absolutely love these videos!!! I can only dream of playing the courses that you have access too. I would be shaking in my shoes playing those courses!!!!
I was at the tournament in the early 2000s when David Duval was playing well and stood at 16 tee and watched both him and Tiger ( 1 group apart) go OVER the trees on the left. this was early on either Sat. or Sun. so neither were close to the lead so they were just bombs away let's get the round over.
Didn’t realise you like to catch a few waves, nice mate, great for fitness 👍 love your work 👌 You need to come over to the Gold Coast in Australia for some golf and surf mate 💥👍
Hello mr short game ! Some suggestions/clubs to keep your eye out for access: Southern Highlands country club, red rock country club, dragon ridge country club, south shore country club. Great spots in Vegas we are dying to see

Here in the uk the prices go upward during summer time
@@JM-cw1er fully aware! Your summer is a bit more mild than Florida’s summer… to say the least 😂
Just a little 🤣. Played yesterday, rain pouring down, course soggy & balls plugging in as they land. Send on the summer ⛳️

Very cool to see you in my town! Ponte Vedra Beach is fantastic if you want to check out some crazy houses in the area let me know!
I know it shouldn’t bother me, but the metal grille spatula on the nonstick pan bothered me hahahahaha

Love the quick shot-by-shot style with voiceover. It has a nice pace.
I wish you'd have mentioned there second course TPC Dye Valley, the membership is less and you get access to the Club House and Practice facilities.
Thanks Matt. Seeing these course on TV and then watching you playing them takes my imagination their too
How cool was the refreshments lady? A star is born!

one of the most difficult courses I have played on was the Mohonk Mountain house course in New York State. definitely worth a try at it.
i really like these types of videos where we see more of the hole play with the voice over.
great vid

77 for your 1st round there ! you're a stud! But the real star of the show for me was Richard's shirt. Magnificent!!!
8:01 don't blame the caddy, you missed the line altogether. it would've broke like he said if you hit your mark.
Finally made it to Jacksonville! Hope you really enjoyed the course. It’s always amazing condition mid February as they ramp up for the Players !
I love this series. I am surprised none of the uk based youtubers have copied the idea yet

Not sure if you have, but you oughta do a Sea Island review. Lodge and play seaside. Unbelievable course!
They let the rough grow for us, and cut it 'for those guys'. Loved that line! Good job on the course, nice video!
