I understand the dessert before dinner thing for different reasons. When you order dinner first, you'll probably focus on when you're getting for dinner, but then they take the menu away, then come back when you're done and say, "Do you want Dessert" and I think, "No, I don't even know what I can get!"

The life skills classes would be useful and honestly should just be mandatory. If students don't pay attention well that's a problem for them

I had a class in high school about managing finances and planning your future and it was decently helpful

I saw the thumbnail and came to say
    1. No
    2. If I see you rinse pizza, you're getting stabbed

The stabbing will only be the start of it. And I'll make sure you feel as much pain as I felt when you rinsed that pizza..

Tbh, I've been having dessert in the middle of my main dish whenever possible and it's been nice (some in the middle, some at the end), so I can get the notion of starting with dessert.

4:00 I have literal firsthand experience otherwise. A highschool teacher of mine taught me how to look good on a resume and in an interview. I took an after-highschool vocational workshop that taught .e the exact same stuff even though they said they'd get me a job. 3-5 months of being retaught what I already knew and acing any tests they gave me because I already knew the data, they FINALLY got me an internship, then another when that didn't go anywhere. my 19th year of life wasted, I finaly just sat down and called/emailed/online applied for entry level positions at various places around town using knowledge of what businesses were nearby and the same interview/resume knowledge I learned in highschool from one teacher. 3 days later, the local movie theatre called me back.
With knowledge that ACTUALLY BENEFITED me, I got a job in 3 days, all because one teacher went above and beyond and taught me how to do so.
If you guys taught me how to pay taxes, I'd listen. I still know how to balance a checkbook from when I was taught in 6th grade.
Your students may not pay attention, but it's because you've been assigned to teach them Useless F.A. I still remember how to make whipped cream from scratch from when my cooking teacher taught me. It has zero sugar. Buy a bottle of Whipping Cream, get a bowl and a whisk, and Whip it. Rotate the whisk in the cream untill it is fluffy. Delicious, only cream as your ingredient. A much better alternative to hyper-sugary preservative-laden store-bought.
That's one lesson that wasn't Geometry, Trig, History, or a depressing/boring piece of literature, or how farms drain cow poop, or what chemicals do and don't like each other. I don't plan on being an electrical engineer, chemist, Farmer, physicist, or historian, and if I already am a book nerd; that won't put food on the table. What WILL is being able to properly fill out a resume to look good for employers, and answer questions correctly in an interview, and balance a checkbook, and properly budget yourself. All things I use way more than SohCahToa, or the Quadratic Equation, or whatever went on in WW2. None of what I was taught in my standard Highschool Curriculum has ever helped in my adult life, only what one teacher went above and beyond to teach that they weren't supposed to because they knew it would help, and a lesson in subtraction and addition that I learned in 7th grade.
So yes, I did pay attention when a teacher DID teach me that. I also thoroughly enjoyed the mathematical intricacies of basic Highschool-level Statistics; it hasn't helped me stay fed at all. Nor has Sin=Opposite÷Hypotenuse, Cosin=adjacent÷hypotenuse, Tan=Opposite÷Adjacent, and nor has the depressing experience some kid went through in Catcher In The Rye. Go take your opinion elsewhere.

Use Yinze or Youse, when referring to multiple people, and watch the confusion spread among people trying to figure out what you're talking about. As a prime example I once asked a worker what "Kind of pop do you have"? At the Newark International Airport and he stared at me for several minutes and i had to say "I'm not talking about your dad. But do you serve Coke or Pepsi"?

Pineapple on Pizza tastes good, and 90% of people who say otherwise have never tried it at all.

I will always try to do a game on normal because I do agree that that is probably how the game was meant to be played. There are some games though that I fully admit I suck ass at and will play on easy for the story. Games are meant to be enjoyed.

Yep, exactly. And there are some games that I play on hard because I'm decent enough at them and am looking for a challenge.
