True gift to Humanity: John Farnham. My dear beloved acquaintance, and hero! We met in 1987. Mirage Resort Opening, 2-week event, and John sang for the celebrations and changed my life with his vibrant Spirit, his lovely wife, and his amazing, uplifting songs I love to sing, and his presence, esp. when he sang "Amazing Grace" over the airplane intercom on our charter flight in Australia as a private group!
Saw "Finding The Voice" documentary. The man was destined for greatness from birth. Can't believe England wouldn't give him ago because of Mr super clean Cliff Richards. And as for the USA, they missed out on one of the greatest voices, personalities and all round nice guys of our time. A truly natural singer with relentless vocal prowess. I saw him live 3 times and each time he absolutely nailed it.
I just saw Celine Dion last week. She sang "You Are the Voice". To be honest I never knew who John Farnham was. I do now!! I love his voice and the themes of his songs. Will be buying some of his music to add to my collection.
Hope you can see him on youtube performing You're The Voice at the Firefight Australia Concert last weekend to raise money for the bushfire victims. It is emotional and powerful. Recommend highly. Welcome to the Farnsy Club!
One of the video clips to prominently feature JF guitarist Stuart Fraiser. Stuart sadly lost his battle with cancer recently. RIP Stuart, one of Noiseworks founding members and a member of The John Farnham band since 1994 😢
I was there at the beginning of John's career, my admiration and respect for him will die with me. Thankyou to Jillian and the boys for sharing their loved one with the world. Jillian you are one " extraordinary " woman. May God bless the Farnham family.
@@jenniferwaight3594 I saw a music video of John's on British TV in the 1980s. The song didn't chart in the UK but I absolutely loved it, and I still do. One of the very best songs from the 80s: Pressure Down. I LOVE THIS SONG.
Im not quite old enough to go back to the very beginning, my childhood was the 70's, but my mum is a fan, so I got to hear him from MY beginning and have followed ever since
God bless you John Farnham. Raindrops keeping falling on my head. I secretly adore you - with niceness and much love and respect. Please continue to get well and strong again. I have never ever seen you in concert - i know you won't let me down on that one dear.
Have a little faith in John Farnham. I've seen him him live a few time (dozens). Every time I leave the concert I feel uplifted as do the crowd visibly. That's the thing , its a positive experience , and he always leaves you waiting for the next chance to see him perform live. A consummate performer with an incomparable voice. Mind blowing and the thing is we get to back up next time if we choose. And if we do , we know he will be just as good if not better again. Unbelievable.
A life long fan, saw you get married to your beloved Jill, reached out and touched your hand at the palais , you are the epitome of brilliant John, your songs make me laugh, cry and remember xxxxxx
John sung this song at the Tour of Duty concert in December 1999 and all of the videos of the families of the troops serving at East Timor at the time and it was very moving indeed hard to believe that was nearly 21 years ago
The words in his songs reasonate big time for people and the world 2024 people need to find love for others animals Mother Earth humanity and saving the world before it’s too late appreciate the things you have and not the things you want bigger and better
I am A John Farnham fan I was devastated to find out what happened to him he’s music always leave him in my heart that man will always be number one singer in Australia who’s voice is the best he will always be the voice nobody can stop there he will always be number one Australian to me
I remember the first time I heard this song was on the way to Sydney Airport in March '96- I was 10 years old and about to take my first ever overseas trip to America with my family. Good memories!
Such an amazing song. Brings back great memories of the 90's. Back when life was less stressful. You are in my prayers John. Get well soon and thank you for the amazing music you have given us all these years.
This is why john farnham is my favourite singer. Songs like this have strong messages in them and they are so true and catchy. This song is stuck in my head for the right reasons. So inspiring.
I have loved your singing and you since Sadie the cleaning lady , you are magnificent , I saw you at the Palais and grabbed your hand highlight of my night, keep singing John we need a light in this darkness
John, 25 years ago (14/12/1995) you recorded this song for "Romeo's Heart" after we (and 100 others) had lunch - I had left my 2 day old baby in the hospital to attend the GAMA lunch. As you said goodbye, you promised to think of me every time you sang this song. It was around March 1996, that you did the Launch of "Romeo's Heart" at Southland shopping centre, and blow me down we bumped into each other, and then you sang this song to me! You sang it to me again at the concert I attended, after you spotted me in the crowd! I later found out - from one of your friends - that you think of me as "Red-in-Blue" 💙 Well right now, as I launch out on life finally alone, never more so are the lyrics of this song so poignant to me! Thank you. Love always, your Red'n'blue! Chookas! 💖💙
True story about John Farnham when John was a teenager. He would call into his father's workplace on occasionally. Patricia { now deceased } worked with John's father in the same office. She new that I was and still am a loyal fan of John. She told me that John was a nice looking young boy, well mannered and respectful. I feel quite privileged that Pat shared this factual information with me. John continues to become better with age ! Handsome and an incredible voice. " You Are The Voice "
The most talented singer in Australia. I love everything he’s done. I often wondered if he could sing operas too. Love to hear him try Nessun Dormancy! ❤️Tina Neilsen
Marc Hunter could have done brilliantly with this great song as well, he would have had the young years get up with the black trench and white scarf goin sick lmao. John is just the consummate entertainer. Snare, dead notes on the bass, orchestra, choir…man…perfect. Uplifting song!
My late brother in law always had singing lesson sin the same studio as John.. He nearly gave up as every week his instructor would say that the guy in the next room was brilliant and would go far…. Listen to his range Ange and tones… go home and practice that!!!! The rest is history..
i know of a ghost that no one can face.......she will forever be the reason he and i can never be..........her ghost is his.........sad but true........facing it is to hard for all.........

I remember this being on the rage top 40 at #3 as a kid in 1996. For me, it’s in his upper echelon songs.
2:35 one of the must underrated grooves in Aussie rock classics!!
Agree 100%. Should of made number 1 but sadly only made it to 3 on the Aria charts.
Best song he ever did
Don't think I've ever heard a song of John's that I don't like he is a fabulous entertainer, his great voice doesn't hurt of course!!!
