I'm 71 years old, and I've followed and loved John right from the very start of his career, when I was just 14. The pure joy I feel at seeing John at the wedding is indescribable. Of course, we would all love to have Farnsey sing for us again, but if he doesn't, it's just wonderful to see him looking so well. Thank you, John, for entertaining us and giving your all to us for well over 50 years. Your music will live on forever. You are a legend!! There will never be a singer to match John Farnham - Australia's amazing GOAT!!!! 💖💖💖💖

he is the GOAT.... miss him out there but left so much to be appreciated and always kept the bar high. he should relax and just enjoy family. but i am musician and its difficult to stop what you are good at,, i could not imagine being the GOAT and stopping. i have shown so many people videos of this man. i have always thought he was warm kind and funny. no wonder the world loves him. fan from Alabama..
If John would have came to Muscle Shoals, things would have been different. It is hard to stop. That's why you see Stevie Nicks and Hank Williams junior. still going. I don't think they should, though. I guess Hank has never known anything any different. I love John Farnham. I left a comment a lot of people probably won't like. But I think The media in Oz are very rude. If you ask me. I have seen them interview Vanessa Amorosi harping on her while she went to America. And I heard channel 9 talking about that song that was written about Marty Schwartz. All while putting down America when it was only one-man Jimmy sang about. Can you imagine the band Alabama and cold Chisel WOW John Farnham singing with the Allman Brothers. man it's just a beautiful thing because he's probably the most kind, loving and loyal individual I've ever seen in my life. And he is one of the greatest singers. There's too many different styles of saying in to say any one person is the best in the world. Just my opinion. He did keep the bar high and everybody that met him was enlightened by his inner glow. And I think John had WiFi with his crowd engagement when everybody else was on dial up lol

It broke my heart when i herd that John farnham had cancer because iam a big fan when i live in Australia i went to his shows when he was in canberra and i still listen to him now iam living in the uk and it nice to see him with his son on his big day i hope john feels well an iam lad he beat the cancer.

I think it’s pretty disrespectful to even mention singing. Hasn’t the man given enough? I mean, look at his face. The elephant in the room. I love John Farnham. That’s why I would never, ever, ever say the words, “I hope he sings again.” John, stay at home, buddy. Enjoy your life. Enjoy your wife. Enjoy your children. Enjoy retirement. They will all love you no matter what. Even though there was a time when nobody did, all these people that love you so much now, remember how quick they can turn their back on you. They all gripe and complain because you didn’t buy success in America. But we all know if you had, they wouldn’t give a damn about you. I don’t care who this makes mad. It’s the truth.
I’m an American reactor and I’ve done over 145 Aussie reactions. Vanessa Amorosi, when she went to America, nobody gave a damn. Hey, ACDC, while they were touring the world, nobody gave a damn. I found out the origins of the Cold Chisel song “You Got Nothing I Want.” It had nothing to do with American music industries or labels. It was one man, Marty Schwartz, who completely gave them the runaround. That song was written about him alone. Yet all of Australia thinks it’s about the American music industry. Now, I don’t like the music industry either, but that song was not about the music industry.
They tried to come back to America, to Florida, to a festival, and they found out that a middleman screwed them over again, mainly because Jimmy Barnes was too high and getting checked. And his record label didn’t make sure this middleman was the real deal. Steve Prestwich is on record saying that a long time ago. It didn’t take a lot of research to find it out. I wonder why John Farnham stayed in seclusion all this time, not his appearance. I don’t know, but I have a good idea. It’s because he would be pressured to sing again. That is why Vanessa might be singing “This Is Who I Am,” because every time she turned around, the reporters in Oz were trying to ask her why she had to go to America. Maybe because artists learn things from each other when they travel the world.
Everyone in Australia complains about being all the way up there on that island and nobody paying them any attention. Americans are all insular. Well, we don’t label everything we say “American.” And Americans are all different. And half of us are you because it is the most diverse country on the planet. I’m not saying it’s the best. I can’t really tell you which bands are purely American bands, and apparently neither can Australians because John Farnham or Jimmy Barnes, neither one was born in Australia. Seems like the Australians keep the people who move there, but anyone who was born there and travels outside and finds fame, well, they don’t care about them anymore. So you get rid of the people who do find success, who are born in Australia, and you adopt the successful people who move there. Someone told me Jimmy Barnes doesn’t identify as anything but Australian. And that’s the biggest hunk of malarkey I’ve ever heard. He is all the time wearing his kilt, playing the bagpipes, and singing about the Bonnie River.
What was that son of his thinking. Between that awful Wheatley son and Rob Farnham. Let him alone. Dreadful.
