- Dmitri Smerdyakov, popularly known as the Chameleon, is a supervillain under Marvel Comics and belongs to Spider-Man’s gallery of rogues. He was created by the Marvel legends Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
The Chameleon made his debut in March 1963, in the initial issue of The Amazing Spider-Man. He is also the first supervillain adversary Spider-Man went against.
The character gained substantial popularity and went on to appear in several Spider-Man adaptations. IGN ranked him as the 14th greatest enemy of Spider-Man. His ability to disguise himself into someone else allows the writers to fabricate intense storylines and chase sequences. The Chameleon is also the half-brother of Kraven the Hunter, a fan-favorite Spider-Man villain. The connection between the two of them catapulted the Chameleon from being a solo villain to being a well-integrated character in Spider-Man’s universe. - Розваги

His mask sounds a lot like the one that Sharon Carter used in Falcon and Winter soldier, the one Natasha’s “mother” invented, the one that Nat’s mother had like visibly 5 others in the closet.

If I’m not mistaken unless something has changed the Red Skull is not him and Kraven’s father.
He is the step-son to the SECOND Red Skull who was a Russian terrorist who had Peter Parker's parents killed. This is not the original Nazi Red Skull.

I remember that in Polish dub of Spider-Man TAS in the ep. 57 Chameleon is shown to utter a line while not in disguise. Because it never happened before or since, like in the original, this instance was most likely due to the dubbing department's minor blunder. Nevertheless, this one little sneaky mistake makes it stand out.

I think it would be pretty interesting for Chameleon to be an albino type skrull in the MCU, while Sony makes the more comic accurate Chameleon in the Kraven movie. It would help to differentiate the 2 versions and bridge the Secret Invasion later on.

This type of villain drives me nuts, unless he's a skull or has another idea logical reason there's no reason he can't make sooo much more $$$ doing legit stuff. Anytime he's portrayed as a crook doing stuff for money is nuts
Could just be me but I never really cared who Spider-Man's first anime was since the earliest comics of Spidey said I can remember reading is always been the content not the characters that drove it for me
