Grew up there my whole life before moving to San Diego. Never saw anything like this happen. Plus due to the longshore littoral current sand deposition is always on the south southside of jetties in Jersey. Truly a novelty.

My thought exactly. Someone I was talking to said it was coming from the channel dredging where they deposit the spoils st Fisherman's Cove on Squad side. Who knows.
