I’m totally positive that this video footage as awesome as it is Is nothing compared to the noise and danger of real Mother Nature that is happening right under their feet. THIS IS LIVING.
@@LUCA_PADUA Keep your media team. As a study of ‘the decisive moment.’ The footage referenced was well put together and programmed well for UA-cam. Luca, you asked me what I’d like to see next time: I’d like to listen to and learn from the footage of your team. Their story. Subtle moments on prep. Garage work. Those moments when you, your crew decide when and how it’s going to unfold. Perhaps your training. We need not a full length documentary. Just a few minutes of your posse, interspersed into the camaraderie of the fleeting moments before you launch. I know you as a leader riding Mavericks look out for others. What is the planning that goes into sharing resources, responsibility and care for the next person taking the ride. Sure, the viewers of UA-cam can click away, but there are people who like the story. Very best, Toad.
Those boards get so much squirt off the bottom turn! Sick footage! My heart is in my throat from watching these guys flirt with that second section. THIS is what tow surfing is about! Thanks for sharing and even the after party!
Wow! sik gonad'sville out in that lot - even the wind was stacked with testosterone - full emersion experience watching this - the boyz out amongst it with the elements roaring and no music to cheapen the ride - well done all 👍
Our goal was to give you guys that very experience. Appreciate you watching and thank you for letting us know. Hoping for more action in the near future!
It's fun to watch the progression over the years. Safety gear advances allowing for them to start moving closer to the peak from the shoulder. It'll be fun to watch when they finally go from flirting with it to getting into it.
That wave for you @4:15, I literally said out loud holy shit that is insane. Almost got caught up high and took some serious air! What a crazy place on Earth this is
I rode some 20+ ft paddle out spots and several people had to be fire fighter rescued. Thankfully I made the paddle to set! Skipping like 30+ mph down the slopes! Ahaaa
Love to see how passionate & stoked you guys are about surfing these monsters. I get scared of 8ft waves, lol.. Question: what can be a reason for surfers to decide not to drop in ? I am new at surfing and don't quite get what drives 'm to go or abbord. I thought the guy who ate the lip would've gotten seriously hurt, i think he bounced off the surface and flew 4ft in the air ... you could like see him in between the foam... Glad he's okay.
Great question. As you can imagine there are layers of complexity when it comes to riding these waves. Driver and rider are doing their best to navigate and read the ever changing conditions. Sometimes what looks like a good wave changes once it hits the reef or has residual turbulence, wind chop, or any other undesirable variable. A last second, "Kick out" or ejection can save the surfer from a violent beating. Hope this helps and thank you for tuning in!
I feel like any fairly accomplished surfer could ride a big wave physically, as a task, with some practice and know-how. Of course, it's the ability to withstand wipeouts and the ability to proceed given the inherent dangers wipeouts present, that set big wave riders apart from all others. If you can survive a colossal wipeout and get back out there (whether it's that day or anytime in the future), you've basically mastered big wave surfing. Bianca is the real deal. Thanks for pointing this out Luca. @@LUCA_PADUA
Love the feeling you get from watching these raw videos wish we could get one weekly

Amazing footage. thanks.
This has been the best footage of Mavericks 2023 by far. Thank you so much. Thanks some behind the scenes footage as well.
Stunning!
Thank you! We appreciate you taking the time to watch. Let us know what you'd like to see more of and we'll make it happen on the next one.

That was insane. Thanks for the raw footage from the water without some lame music soundtrack
This!!
It sucks when the video is amazing but the music completely sucks 😅
Keeping it simple!
Our pleasure. Thank you for tuning in.
That was an insane watch so damn heavy. Thanks for not messing it up with music etc. Those 2 ski incidents were crazy
Chaotic day on the water. No music could do it justice! Thank you for watching!
Those boards get so much squirt off the bottom turn!

Excellent raw footage. The way it should be 👍
Much appreciated. Thank you for tuning in.
That first wipe out was absolutely nuts. The way the wave reared up…
And the lip landing right on top of him.
Heavy water.
This is the best big wave footage I’ve watched. Closest thing to actually being out there. What a wild ride.
Our goal was to give you guys that very experience. Appreciate you watching and thank you for letting us know. Hoping for more action in the near future!
Must be a ride of the year contender 2024 at 4:20 Luca Padua aerial under the lip
That wave was definitely one of the rides of my life. Thanks for watching!
Anything over 6ft is terrifying to me. Can’t imagine this

Excellent video…really amazing surfing ..powerlines has been there from the early days…kudos
Powerlines for life! Thank you.
Love seeing how comfortable people are getting on the big waves!
And kai just survived a head on with the reef at the pipeline blowout competition he split the Red Bull helmet! He is alive mad ups to those moves!
I agree! The progression of this sport is incredible.

All hail, Dom!
Your & JoJo's rides stood out, just incredible.

An incredible way to end 2023 and kick off 2024!
I rode some 20+ ft paddle out spots and several people had to be fire fighter rescued. Thankfully I made the paddle to set! Skipping like 30+ mph down the slopes! Ahaaa
Will be preparing for the next big rides!
Esses caras são sinistros! 🧠💣🙌
so awesome...
Thank you!
WOTD......Michael Joshua, hands down
Mike Joshua is the MAN!
That's insane, 🤣 , towing Mavs... I remember when Flea paddle this size
Flea is definitely one of a kind.
rad. wild line you have to do to get under and past (or survive)
You guys are wild. I love it.
I heard you say half moon bay, you talking as in ca?
Yes! Half Moon Bay, CA.
Damn dude
Monster waves...

@@LUCA_PADUA Yeah sure helps, thanks.
4:36, WOW!
And 17:30 holy sh*t!
A handful of wild rides! Thank you for watching!
I wouldn't even drop in on one of those smaller ones that they pass up
Thanks Dom ! Sick footage. How bout Bianca's stumble? Pricey 😮😅
Dom crushed this. Bianca's fall was the real deal. Surviving a hold down of that caliber is no easy feat.

awesome titans !!!!!
Thank you!
Tonk waves
epic footy
Thank you!
Epic video 👏 what happened to the ski out of control?
The driver's jacket got hooked and stuck around the throttle. Eventually the jacket flew off (11:41) and the ski stopped. Chaos!
Try mix in little POV and that would be mental!!
what happened to captain phil?
Where is this breaking in relation to an average paddle day?
A few hundred yards outside the main bowl. Third reef Mavericks.
At 6:45 right on the back! How did he survive thst!?
yes
Scarry / 20
What did the boat operator do that was dangerous and warranted ejection?
que cojones.....including Bianca!!!
wtf happened at 11:40
Mavs is too big and fast you cant ride the peak, even tow guys are shoulder hopping
Lots of complexity. Certain days you can attack the peak, others not so much. Thanks for tuning in!
Take note tim bonython no one wants to see your face or a half an hour intro in slow no too dubstep.
Hard to beat raw footage.
Who's the loser at 4:03 asking "do you surf"? He's trying to flex in front of his girl 😂
What a wave and what a circus
Chaos.
Thought they made jet skis illegal at mavericks?
Jet Skis are legal during a High Surf Advisory, as seen here on December 28th, 2023.
It blows my mind to know that Jeff clark surfed this monster spot for like 15 years.... alone.
❤️❤️❤️❤️🩷🩷🩷
