Thank you so much!! Once in awhile it will stick to the air fryer basket. Turning it half way really does help. Since it's nice out, I started making them outside. (My neighbors probably think I'm crazy- cooking cups lol)

I use these: (Amazon) Sublimation Shrink Wrap Sleeves, 7x11 Inch 100 Pcs White Sublimation Shrink Wrap for Tumblers, Mugs, Blanks, Sublimation Shrink Film a.co/d/hLLWHSV They also say 360 max temp but I haven't had any issues! I do not use an extra layer of butcher paper in the air fryer. It seems like the people having the melting issue are using the convection / toaster ovens. Sometimes the plastic does stick to the air fryer basket but I don't mind since it's only for crafting
Great information as I have been wanting to start sublimation without buying a mug press and I have an air fryer. I was wondering if you could use Cricut infusible ink pens on laser paper on a sublimation coated tumbler with the same results? Thank you

I was all ready to try this then read an article and it's not food safe after you use fryer for that. So it would have to be a dedicated craft one. Might as well buy a mug press I'm thinking.
I failed miserably at using the mug press for tumblers lol. The fryer in this video was used for food but it was time for a new one so it became my craft one. (Never used for food after sublimation!!) Could always check Market Place or yardsales for a used one :)

I have a Bella pro series air fryer what do I put it on?
Try 390° - 6 Minutes (flip half way through)
If it won't go that high try 380 for 8 mins [flip at 4 mins]
I'm learning and researching this and this was very helpful! I definitely want to use an air fryer! Do you have to use shrink wrap?
I recommend it to get good pressure but you could wrap parchment paper VERY tight then tape it down with heat resistant tape :)
I never use the shrink wrap and mine turn out great

do you have to preheat the air fryer just like a heatpress?
I've done it both ways with no difference. I usually just click it on for a minute then toss it in so not really lol :)

What about the ice water
For the tumbler? They hold ice water :) hot & cold beverages. I use mine for iced coffee ☕ 🧊

I have not! It should work the same - just check the max temp for the mug :)
