I make a huge mistake at 10:41!
This is easily one of the most informative sublimation videos I have seen. There was no need to skip ahead at all because I didn’t want to miss one second!! Thanks for sharing your techniques. I hope to see more sublimation videos ❤️
Thank you!!!!!
Agreed! I normally skip through half the non sense chatter! This was perfect! To the point, yet plenty of information and reasoning! Can’t wait to watch more!!
Agreed! I usually skip but I didn't want to miss anything on this video.
Thank you!!! I had been struggling with the edges. I tried the oven, mug press, skinny mug press, shrink wraps... I even bought a tumbler silicon wrap and bands and nothing was working for me. Using your method, my tumblers came out perfectly from the very first time! Thank you! ❤️
This video was perfect. I tried it immediately after watching this. You definitely helped save a bunch of mistakes for me.
Thank you for this video, I have a thermos flask to do and this method will work perfectly. ❤
GIRLLLLL I AM OBSEOUSSED. i DID IT MY FIRST TRY! THANK YOU
Thank you so much! ❤ It worked amazing! 👏🏼
Yessssss!!!!
Crissy after being scared out of my mind and going over your video over and over again, I decided to finally make my first tumbler on Christmas Day to give to my daughter-in-law. OH MY GOODNESS.. It came out way better than I could have imagined and I owe it all to you. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. You were spot on. I have tried using shrink wrap on other things and I could never get it to work out. Now I can't wait to order and make more tumblers. Thank you again and have a safe and blessed holiday.
I’m such a cry baby. This made me holiday. Thank you so much! That’s what UA-cam is all about! Happy holidays to you and yours!
I can't wait to try this and thank you for sharing Crissy. Do you sell the image? Would be interested in purchasing.
I’m afraid I don’t. I don’t know the original artist. I just googled and made it for personal use. I have a video coming on how I make templates!
@@CrissyMack Great. Looking forward to that video :))). Thanks
You’re a natural born teacher. You did such an awesome job and I’m soo happy I came across this video. Thanks a million!
Maaan, if this isn’t the most beginner friendly tumbler video, I don’t know what is! It’s the visual for me! Thank you for taking the time to sharing your knowledge :)
Thank you so much! I appreciate that!
You are such an awesome instructor... I’m brand new to this & you helped me out a lot 🤗
I’m so happy I was able to help! If you have any questions, please reach out!
@Crissy Mack what brand Sublimation ink do u used....
Love this Video I sub my first Tumbler after watching this video
I used sublijet for my sawgrass!
@@CrissyMack is that available on amazon...I have an epson eco tank printer
I love your vibe omg. I haven’t been able to perfect my seam 😭 I keep getting that white cast down the middle. you’re right there is absolutely nothing worse than unraveling all that tape and paper to see an imperfection. Thank you for making this video 🙏🏼
You’re so welcome! Stick to complex designs with a lot of detail. It’s easier to hide the imperfections! 😅
TY for sharing. Wonderful technique. I was wondering why shrink wrap didn't work for you?
So sorry for the late reply. Cheap clear shrink wrap didn’t work for me. I have another video using quality shrink wrap!
@@CrissyMack No prob about the late reply. I will check out your new video.
I cannot wait to try this. You must be a teacher because you really broke it down. When I attempt to do my tumbler I’m going to make sure I send you a picture however I can.
I’m an air traffic controller. But there are a lot of student pilots at my airport. Plus I’m a mom of soon to be 6. You learn how to slow things down a bit lol. Feel free to email me at thecrissymack@gmail.com!
You are a lifesaver! Ruined 3 stainless can holders using shrink wrap, before stumbling across your video! Tried your method and it works flawlessly, especially with the rounding on the bottom! Thank you!!
That makes me so happy to hear!!! I’m so glad I could help! More videos coming soon!
girl i hit sub so fast i almost cracked my screen lmao !! love the tape trick !
You just motivated me to start making content again! Thank you!
@@CrissyMack lol please do bc when I say I bought 8 more tumblers bc of this and I have a pop up on Saturday ... Girl !! True godsend ❤️
I can’t pin the tumblers to the comments. Check the description bar for the info! Template download coming soon!
what were your measurements
I’ve just started sublimating the skinny tumblers and I cannot get my image to print out the right size on my sub printer. 😭 I have 2 Epson printers. One for regular printing and one for sublimation. The regular printer always prints the right size but my sub printer is always printing it inches too small. Properties are set the same for both. Does ANYONE have any input or guidance for me? I have wasted so many pages of sub paper trying to figure this out, with no avail. 😭😭😭
This is a great video. I have watched so many I have messed up 6 tumblers using shrink wrap. I also tried using painters and masking tape. I am about to try this method and see what happens because my tumblers keep coming out dull. I get the full wrap but the color is so dull but watching how you did this is helping me to understand why. Thanks!!!
Great job! Awesome video, super clear detailed instructions. Thanks!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I was doing this but now I tape the seams and rim and bottom, then I got a silicone mat and cut it about an inch and a half larger than the cup and binder clip it... works perfect each time
Hi I like how you explained everything I’m very new to crafting my. I’ve had my cricut about a month now. Can I use my regular printer and ink and what kind of paper is used? Silly question can I use my regular oven?
Thank you. I have a cricut as well. Should I start doing cricut videos? You have to have a sublimation printer as well as sublimation ink. No question is a silly question. When you heat the ink, you can smell the ink “burning” off. So, I’d have health concerns regarding the vapors that are released once it’s heated. I wouldn’t recommend using your kitchen oven. I won’t lie and say that I haven’t tried it. I did it about 3 times and had no issues with my oven. But I have dual ovens and I was okay with losing one 🙂
Crissy Mack ummm. I mean if you have time to make cricut videos 😃
Thank you for this!! Huge game changer! I cannot wait to test this out 🤗
That makes me so happy! Please come back and let me know how it turned out! If you need any help, reach out!
Crissy Mack I sure will!
yes very well explained. thanks for sharing!
Im going to try without the shrink wrap. That was a lot of tape but the shrink wrap annoys me lol. Thanks
I loved this video, very informative. Thank you
hey crissy, where do you get your tumblers from now. That etsy shop no longer exists
Thank you for sharing this I information!!! I have been researching Sublimation but your video really explain it step by step!!!
You’re so welcome! Should I do other types of sublimation videos?
When you say you just need a good tumbler. How do I know if my tumbler is a good one or not
With this process you don't ever use epoxy? It can be washed?
No ma’am. That shine you see is 100% sublimation. The ink transfer process is permanent so you can wash as many times as needed without fading. I’ve done the dish washer and the sink with no problems!
What kind of oven do you use for this ??
Thank you! Very informative video. Much appreciated!
I’m so glad it helped!!!
Nice! What size is the image and what program did you used?
This is an awesome video. TFS. New Subscriber.
Thank you so much!!
Wow your awesome! Thank you for the great video
Hi, if I decide to do the spiral method on my tumbler would I have to rotate alot if my tumbler is able to stand up in my convection oven?
I find it’s better to stand with the spiral. It’s a tricky method but once you have it down, it works well!
@@CrissyMack would you still rotate often if you are able to stand the tumblers up?
Did you do 2 layers of sublimation ink or just one?
What kind of tape are you using?
Heat sage tape from Amazon
Safe
Those came out so nice. Keep Pressing
Thank you!!
Wow this is probably one of the best sub videos I’ve seen ! Thank you great job.
Thank you so much!
where did you buy your blanks from i will like to buy in bulk?
So your paper is overlapped ..how did it come out
I am wanting to try this out to make some extra money. Do you need to use a heat transfer paper to do this? If so which one do you use or what type of paper do you use? Also what printer do you use to get that sharp image?
I’m so sorry. I missed your comment. You need sublimation paper. The company who’s tumbler I used sells prints for people who don’t own a printer. I use an SG1000 for my prints!
How do you get the color sooo vibrant???
Even pressure and sufficient heat 🙂
If you;re a big Terminator fan and like hard rock or heavy metal, there's this amazing band called Fear Factory that is entirely based on a story similar to Terminator. You should check it out.
Thank you so much! I’m about to check them out now!
Great video. Ie been using shrink wrap since the beginning but want to try your method. Question is how do you prevent the heat tape from sticking to the tumbler after its heated? It doesn't leave a yellow mark and get stuck to it? Thanks!
Don’t let the wrap cool! Peel hot. Be careful. Use gloves!
What brand and size paper did you use??
I just got my sublimation printer ..after watching ur video I’m gna give it a go as soon as I get my tumblers I’m scared thou😂😂😂
How’d it go?
nice rifle ;) your tripod... nice work :)
Thank you so much for the clear instructions. This video is very informative and helpful!
Oster French Door Convection Toaster Oven
390° Turbo
6 minutes
Tumblers on their side
Can you use a regular oven or does it have to be a convection oven?
@@starlagriggs8595 convention never use a oven you cook out of
Do you preheat your oven to close to the 390, then add tumbler and go for 6 minutes?
What kind of paper is this ? Can I use the regular oven if don’t have the oven in the video ?
ASub. You can but would you want to is the question.
You are god sent! After following your video my tumblers have come out perfect! Thank you so so much!
You’re so welcome!
What gloves are you using?
What sublimation ink do you use? I just started doing these but mine are light color. Or do I just need to tape it tightly and as much as you did? I use hiipoo
I use sublijet. Could be the ink isn’t being heated up enough or there isn’t enough pressure.
I’m just starting tumblers. I failed twice with the tops and bottoms. Shrink wrap is not my friend either and I wondered if these could be done without the wrap or tape method. So, many many thanks for this video! I’ve learned a lot and now I’m not so intimidated to give it another go!
I’m so happy to hear that. Come back and let me know how it turned out!
What do you do with your failed tumblers?!? 🤦🏽♀️ I have like 4!! 😩
Epoxy!
@@CrissyMack ... I hate expoxy!! 🥴 Can you recommend a good spray paint?!?
@@stephaniehenderson1960 Brite Tone
You can try to uses convection over to make them at 400 for 60 minutes (settings depend on your oven). It will lighten them up enough (will not be white but lighter) to sublimate a darker image over it. Hope it helps.
Hey do you have fb or ig?
Found your video this morning and cannot wait to try the steps you showed! Thanks so much for making a video where we can hear you instead of blasting music! Thank you for showing two types of tape and showing that taping tighter is the best secret. I have definitely subscribed to your channel and will be watching all of your posts! I am not confident that I CAN do this thanks to you 😊. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents with all of us!!
Is the initial tumbler a sublimination tumbler ..? Like ..has it been coated beforehand ??
That is corrected. These tumblers are specifically for dye sublimation!
Thank you Crissy 😁
You’re so welcome! Come back and let me know if this works for you!
Where can I get prepped tumblers ?
The tumblers used in this video are already prepped. The link to them is in the description bar!
What is your measurments?
My question is , how do you print your images ? Can you make a video please ! I use Cricut but can’t print bigger than they allow .
Crissy thank you for this video. I just bougt convection oven and didnt want to use shrink wrap!!! You are an amazing teacher😊
Awesome video, thank you!
You’re so welcome!
Wow!!! The colors came out so vibrant! what kind of sublimation ink are you using? thank you for sharing your knowledge! :)
You’re welcome. sublijet HD!
I’m new with this is there paper with designs already on sublimation paper because I heard you have to have sublimation paper printer for sublimation and all kinds of stuff is this true
I can’t seem to get the top and bottom good. It always comes out faded or juts not right. I have a smaller conventional oven so if I keep too long the other the time I have been seeing that people set it too , it starts burning . I just don’t know what to do. Thank you for your video! Any tips would help!
What kind of ink you used
what temp do you press on
I was so excited I followed your video to a t and thought the process was pretty easy. When I took tumbler out, my image was burnt and paper was stuck to tumbler. Any tips?
Amazing tutor. Please what printer do you use? Also what are the settings for a perfect image? Many thanks
Hi Eve! I use the Sawgrass SG1000. I do it know if there’s a such thing as “perfect settings”. You have to tinker with your printer to find what works best for you. The hardware may be the same but the end user is different.
@@CrissyMack Thanks a million for your quick response
Great video! I have a couple questions however, what printer and ink do you use? What are the best printers to use? Every video I’ve seen they use an epson which I don’t have. Where do you get your tumblers? And the asub paper? Also what software do you use and where do you find the templates? Thank you!
Thank you. I use a sawgrass sg1000. The tumblers are linked. Yes I use a sub paper. I use photoshop and google.
@@CrissyMack thank you!
Can you use shrink wrap in a tumbler press just wondering or have you ever tried it
Thank you for the video, i have small question, did you used the sublimation ink to print the image OR only the paper was sublimation paper?? Thank you
Sublimation ink and sublimation paper 🙂
@@CrissyMack thank you dear
I just bought 6 tumble from Amazon can't wait to try it.
Thanks for sharing 👍
If you have a good experience, please come back and tell everyone! I haven’t heard anything good about amazon tumblers 😢
I am so glad I came across your video! I have had that same issue and now I know it was due to wrapping my tape in the opposite direction that my image was wrapped! THANK YOU!
You make it look so easy, I have had trouble with tape coming up while in the oven, does that mean i don't have it down tight enough
Did you print the image using a sublimation printer and sublimation ink? Or did you use regular printer in on sublimation paper?
Hello!
You had me at Terminator geek. Where can I get that image?! I’m nerding out on my end here! It looks soooo good!
I just googled terminator fan art!
Thank you, this was very informative for me especially being a beginner at this.
You’re welcome!
Did you use butcher paper or those silicone bands?
Butcher
I always have to skip through videos to see the instructions I am looking for, but yours was perfect, and very helpful! I love your tumblers!
What kind of oven do you use? Can I use my kitchen oven?
I know you can't use an oven for food because once it's used for sublimation it's not safe for food anymore. It does need to be a convection oven. I asked her what type she used as i'm looking to get one and wanted some recommendations
Cutting the image to the correct size prevents having to use so much tape or shrink wrap
I NEVER comment on videos. I had to for this one. I absolutely LOVE your video! Super informative, no annoying, blasting music, and you take the time to explain everything. I just received all of my supplies today and was nervous to try this. Now I feel so much better after watching. Thank you so much!
Wow, thank you!
I L❤VE the results!
Tfs & take care 👋🇦🇺✂️🫂🌺
The best tumbler tutorial out! I send this to all my friends when they have questions
Thank you so much 🙌🏾
I can’t find any good deals on the tumblers in the links because of shipping :-(
I don’t understand what you mean when you say your image wraps right or left ? 😔
Once you roll the tumbler into the tap, hold it right side up. If you look at the seam, you’ll see the right side of the paper is on top of the left side.
Into the paper, hold the tumbler right side up* as if you’re going to drink out of it!
This video saved me. Thank you so much. I finally did it. Came out perfect after four messed up cups. The only issue I had…. I burned one side. Other than that. I finally got it!!!! Huge thanks.
Thank you for this tutorial...I just love your videos..You explain everything in a clear, concise method for beginners like me. Liked, Subscribed with Notification bell ON!
What paper do you use and do you use a specific printer or can it be any type of paper ?
thank yoooooouuuuu so much this video saved me with my order when i ran out of shrink wrap!
I like your narrative style and the step by step attention to detail. Well done!
Thank you🙏🏾
Your image is so bright! What is the printing settings you used?
Beautiful! What printer do you use?
SG1000 sorry for the late reply! I didn’t see your comment until today.
What was the print measurements
Thank you very much this helps out a lot
No problem!
