@Angela Dan lol if you think you look great, keep doing what you're doing. but if you think you look old, for one, make sure the clothing fits correctly and that it isn't super over sized or anything. also try to make sure you do your hair how young adults/teens would have done it and make sure you have accessories a young adult/teen would have worn if you want to wear accessories :)

It's cool how Jessica upgraded from a princess room with a matching dog to a 1920's appartment with a matching cat. I wonder what she did with all of her stuff from the old room. Also where's her dog! 🥺
Haha not much of an upgrade persay, I miss my princess suite! Also my furbaby Truffles is with my family for now. He wouldn’t be happy or safe in an apartment complex, he loves his big yard! But once I get my actual home I will have both Truffles and Maple 🤎
Great job. I decorated my tiny apartment in a combination of Art Deco and eighteenth century French Versailles. My color palette is gold, copper, and white.
Oh, I love it! I think you did so good at making it look authentic, not just, as you said, “Birthday Party” vibe. I think you really pulled the whole space together with the decor. I think you’re so good at designing! Here’s just a quick design tip that I want to point out, (not to offend you, just my opinion) but maybe instead of putting your reading glasses next to the stack of books on the little side table, maybe you should set them on top of the books. I think it would give the look of, “I just read a book” and would make it look a little less cluttered. Just constructive criticism, not at all to be taken offensively! I’m kind of worried about you! I’m sorry you had to move and change your entire aesthetic. I imagine that you need to disguise yourself for some reason, which I sure hope isn’t the case! Also, I think that the fireplace really pulled the whole place together! Did anyone else notice that her cat matches the color scheme perfectly? She’s adorable and perfect! I love her white paws. It makes it look like she just stepped in a bucket of white frosting. I love the 20’s aesthetic!! I also love your background music! Hope you have a good day! Sorry if there’s any typos. I don’t feel like proof-reading today.
Didn’t notice any typos and dang, I never knew they even made entertainment units that contained gas fireplaces! I’m obviously not caught up on technology! Your constructive criticism really is constructive and shouldn’t offend anyone. IMHO.
With every decor you added I fell deeper and deeper in LOVE with this 1920s aesthetic! You are so talented and I admire how you are able to vividly revive a bygone era. FUN FACT: I bought those Asswipes once and dreamt of redoing my bathroom just to fit the vintage theme on the package. I never knew I’d be on UA-cam, watching someone make that dream come true LOL
I was worried at the moment because she DID NOT upload videos for a while.... I feel bad because she had to be kicked out from her royal bedroom and her 1950's apartment at the last minute and thinking how she should decor the WHOLE thing.... I'm impressed....👏👏👏
I don't think you could've chosen a cat that, at least visually, fits you more. She's so adorable and I'm excited to see her in every video, stealing the show as any cat with that energy could.
0:35 awwww she loves you! when a cat blinks at you slowly its their way of telling you they love you, you can do it back and they will understand. and if your cat winks at you it means they trust you, like the blink you can also do it back and they will understand
I know you’re new to being a cat owner, so I just wanted to warn you, be careful about leaving your lovely fans and flowers out. Kittys love to play with them and mine have ripped similar items of mine to shred. Also sometimes they can make them sick. Btw beautiful apartment ❤️
Watch out for lilies, very toxic for cats! I know someone who almost lost her cat after he chewed on some lilies a well-meaning friend had sent her one Easter. (Kitty happily recovered but her finances took a hit that took longer to recover. Vets do charge for the miracles they work!)
Yeah, when I saw those on the bottom shelf, I mentally thought "RIP fans". I would also suggest adding a very tall and sturdy scratching post, or it will also be RIP that new couch. Very cute kitty though!
We love the 1920s inspo for the 2020s Edit: be careful with the fan on the bar cart, as someone with kittens, maple will definitely want to play with that.
My home was built in 1922. And i love noticing all the old relics. The doorbell is a bell thats integrated into the door right below the peephole. You twists it and the bell rings.
I ADORE your new aesthetic. It's incredible! Also, Maple is adorable omg 🥺🥺 Edit: I just noticed you put an instrumental of Young and Beautiful in the background!!! My lana del rey fangirl heart is SCREAMING! 😅😭
Very sad about not you having princess apartment anymore but at the same time very excited 1920s Gatsby apartment! You are still teying to live your dreams! All the best! Btw my favourite quote by Fitzgerald is the last sentence in The Great Gatsby and I used to have it written and hang on my wall
The 1920's is one of my favorite times in history because of the style, music, and progressiveness. You really have that art deco feel all throughout the apartment. It looks great.
Oh yay this is fun!! I love the 1920s so much. The best thing about the great gatsby and the way Baz Luhrmann did the set design was that it didn’t look like a 20’s birthday party ;)
I freaking LOVE this! I never thought that I would be pleased with seeing you in anything, but your "Princess" get-up and surroundings, but THIS is bomb! The entire time watching, I was like "Ooo wow!", "Oh, okay!", "Ooooooo!!!"!!! Then when I seen "AssWipes" during the bathroom portion, I died laughing because it was so out of the blue. It still looks era appropriate and almost don't realize that it says that. 😂 I love it!! And I need to find those bathroom toiletries! They look BEAUTIFUL!! Where did you find them (I haven't checked the description box yet, but I will!) Anyhoozie, I missed ya, girl! Glad to see you back and doing okay! 😉👋 (

I love how real you are, like, so many people on the UA-cam platform buy all this frivilous stuff and I can't relate to it at all. But I can with your videos, I can actually afford what you recommend and buy for yourself! Love it.
You should put a variety of little bowls on the trays on the counter and find vintage looking candy and treats to put in them. That would be soooo cute! 💖

There are a lot of 40s and 50s homes/apartments/rooms/etc on UA-cam but I don't think I've seen a 20s one before, which is a shame since it's my vintage decade of choice! Love this!
You really have a great feel for aesthetics. I also really liked the fact that you put so much effort into it. It is a bit funny though that after all the hard work with looking for the right decor and everything, you put the clock on the wall upside down
I just love your 1920s inspired apartment!!! It's beautiful and reminds me of the 1920s. Your bathroom is gorgeous and so appropriate for the era. What is your bedroom like? Is it 1920s too or something else? It would be nice to have a video of your bedroom. Thanks for sharing your apartment makeover. Take care and stay safe!
Thank you! The bedroom is standard since this is a temporary place much like when I was in LA but next I’ll be moving into my first proper home and it will be a full on makeover including every room :)
I LOVE how you designed your apartment. Makes me want to sit there with a book and listen to vintage music! One thing you might be able to do if your landlord allows, is change out the handles and knobs in your bathroom to fit your aesthetic.
Love the design! I tried doing my 1st floor in this style at home, but just couldn’t land it. You, however, did a great job. Also, as a heads up, I believe the clock in the kitchen is upside down
You should take an dark earthy tone vinyl and cover the kitchen cabinets and bathroom sink drawers with it, I think it will really tie everything together
I was just looking when you last posted yesterday and was wondering where you were. Glad to see you back, I love this concept :) (also, I looove your outfit and hair so much in this video!)
I’m so glad you made this video- I remember researching ways to make your room look Art Deco and 1920s the images that came up were VERY costume-y! For some reason it was hard to find real photos from the 1920s of living spaces.
Great job. Excellent choice. You can go minimal with art deco, which makes it perfect for a studio apartment. After all, in future, you'll no doubt want to do something different, especially if you move again. My favorite thing: the window treatment wall with reading nook. Oh, no bedroom? I love that you thought about the _effect_ you wanted before plunging in. Costume or themed does seem, well, uninspired, I guess.
I've been wondering which Vintage area I wanted to get into. I thought at first, maybe 50's? But I really felt like it didn't suit want style I like. I wasn't a big fan of the male or female outfits they had, the female outfits appealing more to me then male's. So I started surfing around the web for a different decade. THATS when I got into Hamilton around the middle of July. I lived for all the outfits, just add a bit of a dark vibe and boom, you had most of the stuff in my closet. Then I started searching up even more era's, and the 1700's, 1800's, and very Early 1900's seemed to fit was I liked. So I took elements from all of those, started wearing longer skirt (Still like my short skirt though), started looking around my local walmart for very vintage looking for things that are popular around those times, may even go to Hobby Lobby or Michael's, maybe Jonan Fabrics. I now am painting my own painting that look like they were from that time, even though I do like my original pop art style with bright pastels and bright yellows and pinks, I also like the browns and neutrals of those time periods. I know, over 200 years of vintage fashion will be weird and maybe tacky, but I enjoy it a lot and no one is stopping me from making a long, green, velvet suit coat from the 1700s- early 1800s and paring it with a long skirt that looks straight out of the 1920's. Also, I would like to state the fact that I am a trans man, and dress in both feminine and masculine clothes because I feel good in it. Basically, the point of this entire comment is be who the heck you want to be, and if anybody tries to stop you, sew/ buy and bomb outfit and be confident. Sighed, Your local vintage trans man♡
I’m so happy to finally see this. It fits your asthetic so well. I’ve missed you bunny boo. I’m moving by the end of this year and I want to do my apartment in the vintage style so bad and I’m so excited so thank you for the tips
This came together so well! You really succeeded in achieving a classy (not gimmicky) 20’s style. I’m super curious where you found your wine glasses. I have a red one just like them from TJ Maxx and I’ve been trying to find more.

@@jessicavill That is cool. How are you doing with the pandemic nowadays?
I LOVE how you designed your apartment. Makes me want to sit there with a book and listen to vintage music! One thing you might be able to do if your landlord allows, is change out the handles and knobs in your bathroom to fit your aesthetic.
I love this aesthetic so much (better than the older one!)
you're aesthetic is so elegant and i love it so much, you're such an inspiration
You are so creative! Before the makeover it was pretty normal, and you managed to transform it into something iconic ♥
Girl yessssss!!! I love the transformation!!! 😍😍😍😍
Omg Queen Jessica is back!!!
Your new place is really cool and fitting to the 20s. I quite like all the decor there.
So excited for this video!! Love your style 💕
Wow it's like a retro apartment! I would feel weird going in from outside to this amazing time capsule 👏🏻😊
I’m so glad you made this video- I remember researching ways to make your room look Art Deco and 1920s the images that came up were VERY costume-y! For some reason it was hard to find real photos from the 1920s of living spaces.
Well there's our vintage beauty! With most of us staying home more often these days, I sure can use some inspiration for redecorating my space...
You’re my biggest inspo! You’ve made me finally find my true self & interests. My second apartment is gonna be cottage core themed. Love you Jess!❤️
Sighed,
Your local vintage trans man♡
I’m so happy to finally see this. It fits your asthetic so well. I’ve missed you bunny boo. I’m moving by the end of this year and I want to do my apartment in the vintage style so bad and I’m so excited so thank you for the tips
i love how the clock is just the wrong way up
u gotta 180 it ;)
This came together so well! You really succeeded in achieving a classy (not gimmicky) 20’s style. I’m super curious where you found your wine glasses. I have a red one just like them from TJ Maxx and I’ve been trying to find more.
Thank you! The glassware is all from Home Goods :)
@@jessicavill Thank you for letting me know!!
What a way to bounce back, after a contrasting event. Well done, honey! xxx
