Beautiful! I think the big picture view of why so much volcanic activity in this region is fascinating. The Hellenic volcanic arc is largely the result of interactions (subduction) between the African and Eurasian tectonic plates. Movements within the earth can humble mankind and, indeed, makes us all feel quite small and at the mercy of such powers.
I remember a day trip there during a 1980s holiday in Kos. The memory of the trip from Mandraki rising to the rim of the crater, and then the seething water, and sulphur emissions, has always brought alive my subsequent interest in volcanism. It it well worth a visit, and deserves the Geopark status - so 'best of luck' with the application! (and thanks for the video)
Simply amazing
Amazing video!!
Thanks for sharing!!
It's good place and similar to Solfatara volcano at Pozzuoli, Italy. Thank you to show it.

You can use a sponge or a "dead cat" on top of the microphone of the camera to minimize the wind sound on the video. Thanks for the great content
Fantastic video, very informative as always. 👍
You can see the air shimmering in some of the craters, must be pretty hot
Wow
Ahhh that's why they say not to eat yellow snow! 🤣
Is that the volcano that sank Atlantis?
So creative you have content.

Thank you very much! I am still studying 🤓 I did my BSc in Geology and Oceanography, and now I'm doing an MSc in Geoconservation 🌋
Impressionnant ce cratère em 😊😊
Hello do you know if you can get there from Rhodes I’m going to Rhodes in 5weeks
I can smell it from here lol. I imagine it smells roughly the same as Yellowstone 🤣 still, very cool to witness these kinds of things in person!
From how far down is that water coming up from?
🌋 😲
I just recognise it from Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
