1:02 almost every game is a mirror match right now but the mirror feels very similar to doomfist mirrors. If your hazard is noticeably worse than theirs you're going to have a bad time. I think he won't blink you out of existence like a doom can but he can play around CC much better
I mean he's a Dive Tank. If you're a support or DPS play like you would any time there's a Dive Tank. There's no face Tank in the way so go kill other squishies and do your best to stay out of positions where you're getting dove, just like with Winston, D Va and Ball. The only difference is make sure you plan your exit accordingly because Hazard can block an exit with his mini-Mei wall. Overwatch 5v5 101... kill the squishies then kill the Tank as a team.

You know he is way over tuned atm right? They will most likely double all his CDs and significantly reduce his auto aim damage. Also I doubt his ult will stay hitting behind cover and rooting protected/imune targets. No one wants another Sigma ult debacle.
Checkpoints wouldn't work because it's duration based. Say you use some, some regenerates. It's never guaranteed to start at the same point unless you have full block. You can hear the ammo tick up though.
I honestly think he’s just okay at the moment. Some moments, he absolutely destroys people and in others, he just struggles and maybe it’s just me but there’s some inconsistency that I see in his kit that kind of mess up his gameplay. That said, I like the higher skill ceiling this character sets when you play him since he has a lot of stuff going for him that isn’t as simple as just clicking a button to get value and being precise with your cooldowns and shots is very important to getting good value from Hazard.
Feels a lot like ball tbh where you can absolutely pop off and you know it's all skill based, but if you're missing shots or not consciously making decisions then you'll end up feeding. Which is good, we didn't need another Mauga in the game
The absolutely destroying is just the trash match maker. That team was gonna win no matter what tank you had. I feel he's like rein where he's entirely dependent on his team. he's not a solo carry hero. His damage is too low. All the other tanks can kill through mercy pocketing a squishy. He's the only one that can't. His ult is weak. So many times I've seen no picks when he casts ult and the entire team is there to follow up and no support abilities were used to save them. He loses to all tanks that have CC. His block is eaten by DVA and charges Zar. He can't peel well. The list goes on and on. Yea he's fun but in an actual comp match you best pick a different tank.
@654789qwe He has some of the GREATEST peel ability. Leap is a short cooldown, and wall can block someone from a teammate. If your team couldn't kill while everyone was rooted with no cooldowns being used, no one was hitting their shots. He might struggle to kill the Mercy Pocket, but you can absolutely cut off and corner the Mercy alone. He is a heavy setup character and his wall is exactly what sets him up the most. Its also what makes all the boops make sense. He has to displace and move things or he wont be able to do anything at all.

Everyone is complaining about his guard but it only lasts about 5 seconds from start to finish if you continue to pressure him, and the resource meter takes a little time to refill. Sure he can manage it but it depletes a lot faster than you would think. Not to mention that to get value out of him you’d have to be as mechanically sound as a doomfist. His primary fire damage is also lacking. His utility is pretty good considering his wall can be great offensively to cut off, defensively to escape or block and utility wise to create a ledge to scale up, cut off healing from back line , save a teammate from a cliff fall, rein pin, junker queen ult, rocket punch, reaper ult if placed correctly, a diva bomb if fully covered, etc. His kit is gonna rely on how well you use his mobility in conjunction with his wall. Aside from his wall, he does not offer any apparent team benefits either. You will have to get creative.
Full block with the lock on does a little over 175 damage. I guess Most of the people commenting about how broken it is have never tried literally walking out of the range 💀
Anything good against doom is good against hazard he's basically just a more survivable version with less damage and relys on his wall and ult for cc. All in all just a doom upgrade because doom is high risk medium reward and this guys medium risk medium reward, hope they don't nerf him because he's gonna get stomped against orisa, hog, mauga in ranked. Any nerf i do hope for if (and when) is reducing how much ult charge he gets because rn its a little too often.

My gameplay with him got a lot better when I stopped going for big dives and just went for confounding the enemy by leaping around creating havoc everywhere.

I'm going to be honest I didn't find him that fun but only got to play him in no limits, I couldn't find a game in role queue. He seems to just be another dive tank, good at taking out some healers and dps, really bad at 1v1s with tanks. You might be the best tank player.
Regardless of him becoming meta or not, i feel he's gonna generate more hate than Doom and maybe Ball because not only is he a dive tank(idk why people just hate divers so much) With almost every ability he is tossing people around like a salad AND stopping people from moving with his ult pinning people and his wall not only doing damage but also getting in the way of escapes, and people already hate Mei wall I wouldn't be surprised if after the dust settles and his initial meta period(like Mauga and Juno on release) is over, the devs decide to keep his overall power low like Doom and Ball so the Support players don't whine about him

It took me awhile to get the hang of the character just because his primary is what matters most in terms of outputting the damage and not landing those shots could be detrimental long term. I’d say he’s pretty decent but there’s a lot of minor issues that kind of build up like his wall climb being kind of inconsistent in terms of activating it.

From both a support perspective and someone who’s played a good few hours on him, he isn’t broken 😭 his damage isn’t major, most of his abilities are easily countered, he’s also countered by the usual dive tank counters. He shines because his kit is versatile but there are other characters that do what he does better ‼️

Doom can live against CC because his mobility is so high. Sleep made and he'll just fly away and live. Sleep nade on hazard is an auto death sentence.
