I use a 3 ft piece of 2 inch pvc water pipe, to water my plants in the back. No back door or crawling. Just put one end in the pot and water from the other end. I call it my water pipe slide..😂 works great
great advice!
Welcometothegrowtent has been doing that for years
Nice!! Never heard of em though!!
@@dirtypeetzee his channel is worth the time to look him up
Love that. My tent has no back door so this will be a good idea for me to try. Appreciate it 😁👍
My biggest suggestion would to do your research, you guys are a wealth of information. I’ve only been growing for two years and most of my knowledge comes from you guys, Jeramy from build a soil and Matt from itch.
I put my grow tent on caster wheel base. Being able to maneuver the tent around for access is great. I can roll it back into the corner when done.
Spray silicone on the zipper track all the way you normally run them. Definitely will help with poorly stitched zipper tracks.
I used a candle just rub the candle or soap round the zip both sides zip closed and open zip and rub candle over that makes a difference its an old grandmas trick but works wax or non prpumed soap.
I got a brand new one and the problem seems to have been fixed.
One thing that helps for soil temp in a tent that is in a basement, if your pot sits on the ground - not raised beyond a drip tray, is to use high density foam tiles under the tent. These tiles are widely available. Some people who have kids may be familiar with the puzzle piece edge they have to connect them together.
Dang can’t believe it’s been a couple years since you guys join forces🤜🤛…28.9k Now!! Be way more if the algorithm didn’t hate!!💯💯
I love watching the pod when trimming ❤️🔥
Same! Haha, doing my homework (this pod 😂) whilst watering, pruning or basically whenever it's just me and the girls 🌿 🔥🔥😍
Pigeons video yesterday was baller.
If you don't have rhe money to set up a room legitimately a tent will be better, but if money is not your limiting factor a room can be super advanced compared to a tent. Plus something about being in a room to work on your plants is really soothing.
This was one of those high value information episodes 🤜🤛
I'm currently doing a mini pheno hunt to find a couple keepers, 10 plants, 6 different strains in a 5×5 and have room for a few more. Vegged for 2 months from seed. All 10 plants are completely different in looks, terps and height. Already spotted maybe 2 keepers. And have 5 cuts from each for the next run.
I have 4 acinfinity tents and they all have light leaks
So they may be one of the top companies, but they still have flaws
We appreciate you too! Just popped 4 autos today in my first tent. Thanks for the inspo
Hope it went awesome. I like autos myself too, I've run a lot and in fact this current run will be my first with two photos. Still got 3 gorilla cookies autos in there too though!😂
Live my ac infinity wicking system.
Had roots penetrate the fabric pots and go down the wick lines into the base.
My babys went from soil to a hydro soil fusion. And they are super happy.
Absolutely amazing information guys. Would love a part 3!
Looks like I'm along for the ride to 300 million...watching at 31k
tent life
I went from tents to a 10x15 grow room with a 4x8 no till bed. It works for me and I’ll never go back to tents. Nothing in the way, super easy to work on plants or no plants “in the back”
i run a perpetual grow with 4 tents and its amazing...
Nice, 4 tents would be sweet.
In my 2 x 2.5 x 6 i do 2 plants in 7 gallon pots
Hey guys, always great. If you want more height the gorilla starts 11” taller than every other tent plus you can buy 1 and 2 foot extensions. You were talking about zippers and flaps gorilla have the strongest zippers with the biggest flaps amd front and rear doors. They’re more expensive than they need to be but they are much better quality thicker as well. Migrow did a tent wall reflectivity test the Vivosun was the best, the gorilla had a 4 point drop but the ac infinity had I think roughly 75 point drop in reflectivity. All my new interior gear is ac but my tent is gorilla. My previous tent was a visparspectra it work just fine. I’m not trying to sell anything just share my experience as well. Have good grow guys, thank you for sharing all your knowledge.
When a top hits a light its my main tester/taster for if its time.
Most my problems went away when I took my plants out of a tent and put them in their own room.
The right tent will always b an asset indoors 🥂🍿💨
Hey it’s great to see you guys together here in Vegas!
I love what you guys are doing. Keep it up, can't wait for the next one😎🤘🤘
Almost at 29k now BOYS!!! 🎉 love the content
Different tokes for different folks. Love it.
Just a tip if you’re doing 3 plants in a square space, start one seed a week and a half to two weeks before the other two. So you will have a bigger plant to fill the back
Another great episode guys!
I have green hut 4x8 and 4x4, they are 78 inches tall giving you plenty of canopy room for big filters and fans with pleny of room to move lights up for those tall plants. Got LGECON 420w led lights, discontinued panels being rebranded and sold for 150. 3 lights, 2 of them in the 4x8 and remaining in the 4x4. Attached to smart plugs to set light schedule. Grow tents are all about climate control, you can dial them in and you are done. Just cycling plants in and out after that.
Great talk gents, especially number of plants in your tent.
Hardest part of growing in a tent is the lights out time pulling out the humidity small dehumidifiers can be too small fill up too quickly big ones you need a load of space for. So I just use my room rather than a tent
Another good episode boys. Thanks 🤙🏻
I have a perpetual in 4+8 every month i move 6 or 8 on ea side and this helps with my environment big time my temp humidity is always the same its perfect fir my environment... experience is the inky thing that has taught me that and watching content daily for years and i can say from other opl my smoke says so!
Great episode, thanks!
I setup a corogated roof and gutter it's so good not having trays that can harm my ladies roots and nats as im an over waterer, and I use scrog net and my back thanks me.
The grow I have now are 4 Banana Daddy in a 3x3. I vegged 4 weeks and flipped to flower. All four plants were 3 inches above my screen when I flipped and 3 of them grew another 18 inches during flower but one decided it was gonna go another 4 foot.
The only thing I could do was to bend the tops down and try to slide them between the other plants branches. Everything is going fairly well and Im on day 38 of flower.
I did 5 in a 3x3 trained the hell out of them lol
Give us an update! Would love to know how it turned out.
@@WinginitIguess 15 1/2 ounces of frosty fire! Well, one of the plants was SUPER frosty. I took a cut of the frosty one and am on the last few days of flower on my NEXT grow. (I got 2 adult sons and myself I supply)
@@7munkee almost a lb a plant ain’t bad!! Very nice brother! 👏🏼👏🏼
chris, talk at 10:30 was real af, i have to go into my closet between the tent and wall to get to my plants 😂
In my 4×8 tent I wud put 8 in 25 litre pots , n in my 5×10 I got 10 in 25 litre pots , top n train all plants. N I have a 4× 8 veg tent where I veg em all ready to keep my rotation in order , I run 9 week flower cultivars , . I load one tent up for flower , when it's in week 4 n half I load the other tent up for flower , this way I'm harvesting every month . I also have a separate tent to dry in so my veg n flower tents can run consistently .. 12 harvests a year .
Love the show keep up the good work
Great video guys !!!!!
Light distances and identifying the difference between light burn and nutrient burn can be abit difficult! Considering it all starts from the top of the canopy. You can also supplement with co2 to be able to push ppfd over the normal range.
Vent holes suck on some only have like 4 inch vent holes or just one 6 inch in wrong spot.
Mine too ,which makes the floor uneven, it wasn't thought out right but granny make it do.
I use wicking containers in the back with a PVC pipe running down to the reservoir, then , a water syphon is used to reach the pvc
Great info in this episode guys..one of the good tent companies i ran was secretgardin it ran good for 6 years before it got brittle..i had vivo also they sucked..i also ran the cheap Chinese ones..some can be good but its hit or Miss
I have a Vivosun tent and there is no leaks they improved most definitely
thank you
I'd say 1 plant per foot so 2 plants for 2x2, 3 plants for 3x3 e.t.c I'd probably double it for auto flowers though! Cultivar specific though
We in the Golden era of weed growing
4k more since! sometimes I think I'm subscribed to someone but I'm not haha, just always getting recommended.
I ordered the half pound bag of the stash blended, but I have 2 questions. In the podcast about it, Rob said he was growing using just that and 2 other amendments. What 2 amendments? Also, can you use bottom watering for it, or is top drench recommended? Thank you for everything you guys do. PLUR
I had a 4x4 from vivosun and the zipper broke on it. They did send me a gift code. I think it was on Amazon for the dollar value of it so I could order another one ASAP. Did not have to return the broken one.
I definitely want to try AC infinity next
I got a 2x4with clone domes on the side for a small grow that is rhe way to go
good info
The equipment is definitely getting better and better back in the day there was such a huge gap in products now the middle grade stuff is so much better from tents to ph pens and lights
Ac infinity is great, however their grow tents not so much I have 2. I ordered them 1 month apart and received 2 different styles 1 has a cover over the outside front zipper and the other doesn't. This fixes the light leak on the front , but not on the side zippers. Light leaks are terrible on these tents. Other then that I guess there OK but with light leaks are they really ok? I think next time I will be investing in a gorilla grow tent these are hands down the best quality.
I like that shirt pigeons420
Good episode guys… Every beginner grower should watch this video prior to growing… This is packed with good info…
When running anew tent for 24 hours without plants is also the time to check for light leaks!
Love that shtt!
You mentioned three of the very best, GT WTTGT, Grow More Stress Less, and Jeremy at Build A Soil. And you guys too.
I love AC infinity but everything is black. It absorbs light and converts it to heat. We need all alpine white.
Love the show have a 5 x10 run 4 plants
Do you guys think that the ac infinity wicking base would work with rain science grow bags? They are the woven pvc bags.
i think a tent is a must have for dry and cure.
most cycles take a couple weeks for reef tanks and a few days normally with freshwater
4 plants in 5 gallon coco pots in a 4x4 is money.
I water to run off every other day in a Gorilla tent which is awesome because the back door is nearly as big as the front door..
And training in a SCROG is legit easy because the side walls zip off giving complete 360 access.
I use tent's for seedlings and veg.stageflower in open room
In my 2x4 I have 13 mature plants and as I grow perpetually I have other various stages of seedlings. I grow in 24inch tall conical pots so I still have enough soil. I do not train my plants as I want to see its genetic expression. I use night crawlers in totes to make my soil,(I have 9 totes as good soil takes 2 years to break down). I forage for most of my nutrients, (I make extracts, lactose and culture my bacteria). Jungle growing with chaos is my style.
I no your taking about grow tents and equipment Could somebody please tell me which bar grow light to buy for a 4 x4 grow tent l now you need at less 480 watts but which is a good brand to buy a appreciate your advice Thanks
question do you guys have your bottom vents open or closed i keep mine closed scared of light triggering flowering im using spider farmer tent
I have a viparspectra pro1000 little block and I find it isn't strong enough to pull out the nitogen from the leaves at the end. Sucks
The biggest problem I have with tents is power supply... Where I live you cant expect the electricity to be available the whole day, it'll be gone for a few hours everyday randomly. And getting a backup inverter or generator for your tent alone is super expensive too.
lol the AC infinity humidifier leaks worse than anything else..
I only use a humidifier for a very short time in seedling stage.
Plants make their own humidity.
But yea the AC infinity cloud forge leaks like a sieve and the pipe drips water driving me crazy no matter how i arranged it
What's the proper amount of lights when you have a 4 X 4 tent? I only have 2 plants and I have 2 smaller lights (VIVOSUN VS1000) 1 above each plant. They seem to be doing wonderful, but unsure if it's TOO much light
Hiw does an oitdoor grow not have negative effects of light in the night? The moon street lights or from the house/neighbors all give off light. So what changes indoors? A dark room is way darker than nighttime outdoors.
I got the vivosun tents with AC internals . 6 weeks in , I’m very concerned that the zippers will last ..
What up guys!!
do u keep the tent closed all day and night with the AC infinity exhaust fan or can or do you all keep it open in the day with 12 on im talking about flower stage
Damn im on my 2nd indoor run 5x5 vivosun i put 16 plants in 3.6gal pots 😂 the 1st time i only did 6
I was really disappointed with my AC infinity 2x4. I bought it a couple months ago and it had 6 pin holes out of the box. 😒
Hello, Sorry for the long comment. It’s more of a question. I’m a relatively new home grower since 2020. I’m a disabled Army Veteran and was having trouble getting to the back plants in my 5x5 grow tent. I do not have the ability to perform “tent yoga” due to my disability. I developed method to access all of my plants without having to get up out of my chair and while being able to maximize my grow space. I can feed and train my plants from the comfort of my chair while listening to this program. When I heard that other people are struggling with “tent yoga” and not just people with disabilities; I realized that there is a definite need for what I came up with. My question is: where do you go or who does someone speak to about new developments/ possible ground breaking inventions in the grow tent industry? Thank you in advance.
I’d suggest checking out various company’s Discord servers, they often have areas to put suggestions for new products. They often listen too.
Rob
So my 10 plants in 3gallon autopots w a 30-40 day veg from seed and the flip is too much for my 5x5? I’ve been growing 6-7 in my 4x4
What do you think about the new vivosun grow system?
Nearly 29k now huh crazy. How long ago did you record this video, two -3 weeks ago?
Hell I like all three shirts
29k now yes
🔥 Great Drop 🔥 ✌😎💨
Unless its for legal reasons or some personal reason you have, going with more plants and some aggressive trimming/training is best to fill the area.
People over complicate this issue, its really just a simple question of filling the area in which the light hits and the time it takes to do it.
You can do 1 plant and veg for 3 months, 2 plants and veg for 1.5 months, OR you can fill the floor space with smaller plants, trim them to grow like "lolli pops", veg for 2 week and then throw them into flower.
All will yield very similar results, only one did the job in a fraction of the time of the others.
The key is propper trimming and training of the plants, if you throw lots of plants into a small tent and dont trim them and let them all just grow as they wish, sure it will be a mess with lots of whispy shit on the plant as it wasnt propperly looked after, and to that I say, "have you ever vegged a plant for months and never trimmed or trained it?" because you have the exact same problem there.
Light leakage is not a major concern. I do outdoor with lights around not on top of just on the edges . No issues so if outdoors does ok with a little light so can the tents
A pin hole light leak is a joke. And tabs on the zippers constantly twist ac infinity
Im struggling to set up my watering system, i recently got a pump for next to nothing, but im lost as to how to set it up. If anyone had some time to help id greatly appreciate it.
if you can grow coral in a 100 gallons of water you can grow anything. Its the hardest thing I have ever done and the most rewarding. But takes years to get a full tank with good growth. I think my understanding in reef tanks has made cannabis growing much easier to understand. Kind of the opposite. You contantly are trying to keep nitrogen or nitrates at a certain low level where with cannabis you add small amounts. Fish add the nuts you just have to figure out how to filter the excess nuts. Its a challenge and a 24/7 job but again if you can grow live coral in your home is a small amount of water compared to the OCEAN yeah you can grow anything
Forgot to mention this is under a 100watt led light. Think outside the limits and push those boundaries.
I'm using a 2'x4' .... 2 - 10 gal. fab pots, sea of green
Works like a charm!
*Pigeons ... You feed "every two days!?"
...and NO nutrient burn??? Don't know why you would need to feed so often! ....WHY?
Ayooioo I'm here for it
Still have light leaks on my ac infinity tent
Mammoth was is the first company to use the new mint evo Samsung chips they definitely deserve more credit!! N what’s wrong with Canadian companies??
1:40pm. If useing an A.C infinity 2by4. And their bottom feeder.. it's kinda dictated.. you can only fit two pots
Wanna sell me the other 2 you got chilling? I only wanna get 2 and they sell 4 only😢
I disagree rob, I have 0 contractor exp and suck at building shit but if you can get spray foam insulation it’s dumb easy. Only place air can escape is under the door which is easy to make air tight. The important part is a mini split because it doesn’t get air from outside, it conditions the air already existing. 50LB co2 tank has lasted me a year so far. Min co2 I run is 800 up to 1350 during stretch plus a week or so then I slowly dial it back to 800 by week 10
a 5x5 gorilla tent is the same price as a door at home depot. All rooms need a door. So building a room is expensive compared to a tent, it also will take days vs 30 minutes to build. so other than hiding the grow its a no brainer. Its legal in most states now so no need to hide it
