I keep seeing Marner comparisons, size and speed I can see it, but the way he tracks the puck and the play and the back checks, the way he turns from defensive pressure to offensive pressure, the way he works along the boards in both ends remind me of Zetterberg, Raymond is bigger and faster but his play reminds me of hank more than anyone else
It's tricky to compare SHL to NHL skills because of the size of the rink, but that a Swede can control tight spacing already is the perfect skill to bring overseas.
Yeah being able to handle the puck in traffic is such an important skill to be successful at the next level. A lot of these european kids are used to the Olympic sheet and being such a better skater or so much more skilled than their peers that they never learn important skills like that because they never had to to be successful in youth or junior hockey. Then they get to the NHL and all the time and space they're used to having disappears. I dont think LR will have that problem. I'm admittedly not a redwings fan but I think this guys gonna be a stud.
Detroit have a chance to get back in the playoffs fairly quick with all the prospects they have looming. Raymond, Berggren, Seider, 2021 top draft pick, etc..
Done for the year, prior injury fixed. So have to get the plane ticket ready for North America 2021-2022. GRG probably is the destination so he can get back into playing shape.
Hopefully he wows in training camp next year to push for a spot right out the gate. Definitely wouldn’t be opposed to starting in GR. Seider on the other hand should literally be our #1 D-man right now 😂😂
@@hockeyfan1539 The issue at hand for his development is getting use to smaller ice, he has not really played in North American size arenas too much/if at all. Possibly he did in a few tourneys in U17 in Canada. He did have a tour of LCA in Detroit a few years ago (before being drafted by Detroit), not sure he skated there.
@@hockeyfan1539 agreed I think imo that's what Detroit will do probably Yzerman has enough clever Hockey mind to change the original process Detroit originally do with the prospects I really think he will have his final season with Frolunda and will get the step in NA in 2 years
@@fredoh7553 Did you see what Dekeyser has done the last two games? He's literally feeding the puck into his own slot for an opposing player to have a nice easy one timer lmao. He did it once in the first game against the cats and last night lmao.. unbelievably bad.. that's what 5 mil a season Holland contract gets you lol. My point being Seider should immediately be taking over DK's role come next season opener. There isn't one dman on the Wings roster right now that deserves a spot over Mo. I'd be willing to bet my savings account on him playing the season opener lol.
Can’t wait to have him on the roster
Can’t wait to see him play for the red wings

His ability to maintain control of the puck in tight areas is pretty incredible. Definitely a good skill to translate to the NHL

Now you see! Stevy y is a genius!!! Will be leading to another Red Wings Stanley cup Champions!! You just watch!
Can you do a Jonatan Berggren video? These are awesome.
Man I hope this Rockstar makes the 21-22 lineup.
Hell yeah, my favorite Twitter dude has gone cross-platform! Keep up the great work, and #LGRW!

Sure hope so
On a side note, I hope Henrik Lundqvist goes back to Frolunda and retires with his brother Joel.
Henrik can't, he'd die if he tried :(
And, if anyone missed the grin, Joel's comment of having the same soft hands was in jest ...
Song name ?
a bit disapointing season so far, now injured about 4-6 weeks.
but he progressed.. and Frolunda was quite terrible this year could put up some points in addition with better partners
In terms of points.. sure. But actually watching him do the little things that matter he has definitely improved upon.
@@thenickfoxx Yeah, but. I expected more in terms of points. He did play pp1 and with good SHL players all year.
