Marco Kasper - Unfriendly
Marco Kasper (2022 draft, 8th overall) was 3rd in the SHL in penalty minutes this season with 72 in 52 games.
This video is a showcase of why; Kasper's willingness to drive to the net, play physical, get involved in scrums and be an all-around unfriendly presence to face.

He got very lucky with draft picks in Tampa. He’s not getting lucky so far in Detroit. He’s stuck with a 9m per year center that he couldn’t move at the deadline so he caved and paid him long term and the guy absolutely sucks. His name is Dylan Larkin. Larkin is a 2nd line center at very best

Mo Seider is a German Monster guys😂😂😂
Mo du bist der beste deutsche seit Jahren ich wünsch dir viel Erfolg in deiner noch langen Karriere!!
Kasper reminds of Brad Marchand. LGRW'S!!!
I must have watched a dozen times or more! Thank you for putting this video together! I started loving the Wings in the 90s and after several years away I came back during Seiders rookie season. He is incredible to watch skate. Can't wait to see him lift The Cup!
I was gonna day the same thing hes holmstrom but if he was thrown into a streching machine
Yzerman has been watching this kid since he's been 15
Isn't this the third years in a row the Wings have the darling of dmen in Sweden? They were raving about Mo over there, then they were raving about Ed, now they are raving about Axel. Definitely exciting for Wings fans. I know a ton of teams are already kicking themselves for letting Axel fall to us at 17😂
yeah mo is german but i see what you mean
Best Wings UA-cam channel
Strike that best hockey channel period
I'm still in disbelief at how he fell to 17. It just doesn't make sense. Kid has to potential to be our best defenseman.
Erik Karlsson lite
I live in Melbourne, Australia and I LOVE my Red Wings.
2 things that stand out to me. 1 great clearing pass. He moves the puck extremely well. 2. He sees the ice. Great players seem to have 360 degree eye sight. Now you have to wonder about 2 things. 1. How will his game play out in an NHL rink. You have an extra 15 feet in width in Europe. 2. How will he play against bigger and stronger players with more hitting in the NHL. He has some good moves, but will they work in the NHL? If he can handle those 2 situations, he's going to be a dynamic player. Also if he becomes a stud, THANK YOU VANCOUVER. His pick was received for Hronek.
This kid looks nhl ready already
Reminds me alot of Heiskanen. The mix of brains and smooth skating. Looks like he's gunna be the type of guy that may never lead defensemen in points, but will help you win playoff games by playing an intelligent game.
Hell yeah. We didn't get Quinn Hughes back in the day but we might have scored a Swedish version of him anyways. #LGRW
Love these videos
such a great edit! thanks for this 🙏
Thank You So Much for putting this kick ass video together for ALL to see!! ASP is a total frickin stud. He will have to adjust to the lack of 15' in width on the NHL rink, I have a feeling he will do just fine!!
Great skating ability, agility, and vision. My only concern is whenever he joins the big club that he doesn't hit a ceiling on the first few years. Happened with Dekeyser, who didn't have as good of a skating ability as ASP here, but his vision early on was insanely good. Then he got hurt and was never the same player. So, as a Wings fan, fingers crossed. Really need these defensive prospects to pan out sooner rather than later.
I don’t think Dekeyser is a very good comparison for ASP at all, Dekeyser is a completely different style of player compared to ASP, Dekeyser is a stay at home Dman with some offensive. ASP is a dynamic offensively. Also Dekeyser went Undrafted, where has ASP has the potential that potential that Dekeyser didnt have at same age, if ASP hits his ceiling, he could a franchise Dman, Erik Karlsson lite.
Can’t wait to see him in the winged wheel jersey. I know it’ll be 2 years since he’s playing in the SHL again then Grand Raptors to get used to NHL ice
Very well done, thank you! God thinks about Pavel Datsyuk as a defensemen. "He shall be named, Axel Sandin Pellikka."
I had the same thought, the calmness, poise and control. And he’s so hockey smart.
If he ends up half of what Datsyuk was for the Wings that would be massive
You just knew when the pick was made that the IHG video was gonna go insane.
Awesome video, as always. Was very excited to get him at the draft. Looks very dynamic. Could be a special player that brings a different dimension to the defense and the team.
Trying to figure out how he fell to 17? Anyone got the answer?
He's tiny just a Hronek clone with a little more skill

Hey Babe wake up. IHG just dropped a new video! Yes!
Gud välsigna
Hopefully he's good enough to make the wings top 4 one day we need more scoring basically traded away a good D to get him
Nah we traded away a mid tier d man who looks better than that because he's playing with the best defenseman in hockey right now, and even then Hroneks point total will never reach what ASP's will be someday, kid has elite level skill set, based on these highlights he should've had a lot more points if his teammates could actually finish, just like Danielson, who played on a sh$! team, was traded, then went up from averaging a point a game to nearly a point and a half a game post trade because he played on a better team. If you know anything about Yzerman you'll know he played on a stacked team pre draft and never was able to show his potential, thankfully the wings had a smart GM in devellano and the rest was history, yzerman knows his sh*! Because he's been there, and he learned from the best, and his doubters will be eating it very soon.
Add to that how has Hronek looked in the playoffs? like garbage: 1 point in 12 games and minus 4, we lost nothing when we got rid of him.
Instaclick
great job, thank you for your efforts
I'd be happy to see him at pp1
too bad #5 is spoken for lol
and Danielson likes wearing #9 🙃
No 5s on team he's good
@@DR.DisInfectretired jersey number Nicklas Lidstrom
He was wearing #4 for the WJC, probably where he’ll go.
@@junemacdonald44 #4 was also retired. Red Kelly.
His skating/hands remind me of Jack Hughes honestly.
More Erik Karlsson vibes
It's probably the best pick the Wings had in last years draft.
Hmm probably but don't sleep on Kasper and Danielson too ;)
danelson was taken at 9 before pelika...and right now danileson is tearing it up in the whl playoffs and mem cup bound hopefully ..plus trey augustine in the 2nd round as well. augistine just had a very good ncaa season and won gold with team usa at world juniors and currently with team usa at worlds. youngest goalie at the worlds ever for team usa
Danielsons team was eliminated and he is now heading the Grand Rapids to join the griffins for their 2nd round series.
@@dr1vebyninja101 they traded so much to get Danielson too from the wheat kings for deep run lol damn
@@irvinepoker3187 and so Cossa with GR this season he just stole the 1st game against the Admirals in the PO
ASP was such an awesome pick, he's gonna be a game changer!
