Allowing viewbots hurts advertisers, which eventually hurts the entire streaming industry, if you have evidence someone is viewbotting, share that to Twitch, and now they know.
Advertisement conversion is going to be shit compared to every other competitor if half of your viewers aren't even real people. good for bragging rights, pretty bad for every other aspect.
Twitch doesn't care, but how about the sponsors paying for ads? And Twitch really feels like a platform built on a house of cards, but a lot of people in his circle benefit from the house not falling down.
Because who is spending thousands of dollars viewbotting for their favorite streamer. You also gotta remember the demographic of most of these top streamers that aren’t females, are kids or broke college kids.
Tbh, wouldn't surprise me. I always found it odd how Twitch has streamers with tens of thousands of viewers but you don't see a fraction of that number elsewhere. Even Hololive, a global, massive entertainment brand that has hit massive deals with multiple agencies across multiple industries, won't hit >10k viewers except on their top of the top streamers. And not always. Yet Twitch, a platform that is both smaller and the top streamers share the same small pool of viewers, regularly hit >10k viewers, even multiple 10s? I don't buy it.
View bots attack people whether they bought them or not. Go shake up an industry that’s had and known about this problem for the better part of a decade.
I’ve straight up seen the same bots chatting the same messages in streamers chats in the top 5 in category. After reporting nothing happens and the same streamers taking advantage of drops campaigns. How is that fair to those trying to benefit from drops legitimately ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They might not even mind. It inflates their site numbers, make it look better and attract more people

That's how the click fraud industry works
Do it. Name and shame the cheats
He'd destroy his business to do so lmao. He'd get blacklisted.

I bet the brands that are throwing their money into the ether for the bots to watch would care.
I thought it was odd some streamers have been around the same number of viewers since 2012,
How do you know it's the streamer and not one of their thousands of parasocial fans?

@@oscarrichardson973 then how they get subscribers and donation
@@behindthescones Not from bots..

Release a list then. Prove what you say is true. Come with receipts. Don't be all talk.
So then just release the names. I hate when people say stuff like that.
Devin casually talking about showing where the bodies are buried

Twitch profits from it. More viewers = more ad money. But if the advertisers would know thr would pull their ads from twitch. Double edged sword

Thwy actually interact in the chat???
@ yes. there are bots that fake chat to look like actual viewers engaging.
