Every one of the Ceriatone amps are incredible. They should be the biggest amp builder in the world. Hoping that the six-week lead time keeps everyone else from learning the secret. I’m seriously considering collecting every one of their products.
That "6-week lead time" has turned into a 6-month lead time during/after the pandemic for their bigger amps (9-12 weeks for their "lunchbox" versions).
I hope they use better parts now. I've bought dc30 and 18w from them and for the money were cool but super cheap transformers jacks, pilot lamps but I replaced all that and again for the money good but not top quality several year's ago at least. Point to point doesn't have a board. These are hand wired but not point to point.

So I watched your video on the Overtone Special 50 about 10 minutes before this, and I was convinced that I was going to order one of those.... until I saw this video, and now I think I need both... Awesome tones on both of those amps, but this one is something special. Great playing, too.
Great demo, I've had my eye on Ceriatone for ages, years after latching onto the Dumble legend. These amps sound great including this JTM45 clone. Thanks for sharing. When you kicked in the Vibe, I got goose bumps!

@@BuddyBlues oh Sweet! Thats all you need to tell me! Ive been in a Hendrix cover band for years, and I got the mojotone plexi, boy there loud. But the cost between trying to get it to work right was a hard pill for me to swallow. I built it myself, and I needed better equipment to properly put it together. So yea, it was frustrating to me. But so happy to hear your love it, and that is worth every penny! And it takes peddles well, just like the original? Thanks for your response, you got a subscriber out of me!
I also happen to be a stratocaster guy. I own fender style amps, have played a few high end D style amps and I always wind up back to a Marshall style amplifier(I am a long time JVM user). There's just something special about a Marshall style amp ran WIDE open, even if people wind up calling the cops on you a few times(thankfully we had bullet/sound proof windows installed and not a lot of noise travels out of the house anymore).
I've had this same amp for 10 years, it's good to finally see a professional demo! Great playing, by the way. It really does sound every bit like this in person... the only thing not fully conveyed here is just how ungodly loud the thing is running on top of two 4x12's. It's like jet-engine loud, not even exaggerating. Edit: I should add that the PPIMV puts just a little compression on your sound, maybe a bit of fizz on the treble. Not even a bad sound, though. It opens up when you turn it off. But that's barely even noticeable when you're just using it at like 20% to tame it for an indoor gig. You'll be thankful you have it, trust me. Also, Nik is the man!! Well and truly. Ya'll give him your business.
My favorite moment, the amp at ELEVEN... Love the "sounds like its going to explode" quality it achieves. I could have lost track of time, and played in front of that amp for hours with that tone. Great Videos Sir.
I have a Ceriatone Plexi 50 Watt. Great amp. The only problem was that when I blew a transformer once, the amp was down for weeks because you can't find a replacement transformer state-side.
Any 50W plexi style transformer would have worked from classic tone, heyborer or marstan. There isn't anything specific about the ceriatone transformers or amps.
I got to compare both JTM45 and JTM 45/100 back to back and the clear winner was the 45/100. It just sounded better in every way right off the bat and while they are loud they aren't as loud as a superlead. Somewhere between a 50 watt lead and a superlead. Plus the type of tone the 45/100 puts out is not as bright but more full so it's easier on the ears for sure. Maybe my favorite circuit Marshall built. Hendrix got the right amp for his style but I think he did use Superleads later.
@@BuddyBlues a moment I will never forget. I also owned a 66 JTM 45 for awhile. There is very little to no mods that need to be done to a Ceriatone - The are PTP wired (Fuchs are PCB for those PTP fanboys out there) the components are top quality - Sprague Caps, mil spec components where important. The secret to Nik's prices are he is based in Indonesia and therefore can source parts cheaper, his transformers are made to custom spec to match the exact specs of the amp he is going after.. I've read on some forums that upgrading to Mercury Magnetics leads to a very small difference, but makes the amps a little more touch sensitive - it was described as "More of a feel thing rather than a tone" the poster went on to say he kinda wished he didn't do it because of the small change. But for you OTS people out there a way to get the OTS to sound even sweeter and closer to a two rock kind of clean (The Ceriatone has a sweeter clean tone than a Fuchs imo which can sound sort of tight and not sweet) it doing a LNFB mod on it. I am seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on this amp, even tho there is a wait time of between 10-12 months, as I have just found out from Nik. Subbed! How do you rate the JTM45 Vs the Dumble clone? This thing sounds impressive. I have a Marshall JVM410H and 4x12 cab, after getting rid of all my tube amps and going with modelers for many years.
Quality-wise they are both built point to point by hand and the craftsmanship is stellar. Tone-wise they are worlds apart. The JTM gets you those crystal clear cleans and the INYOURFACE loud gain. (Think Hendrix). The dumble has a much warmer and rounder sound if that makes sense. Very mid rangy as opposed tovthe bass and treble heavy JTM45

Out of curiosity, do you still have this beauty? I heard the story of the OTS lol and I have been going in circles on what tones and what levels I really want (need). I keep coming back to this amp and your vid too! Fantastic playing by the way, and man the sounds out of this amp make the hair on my neck stand up.

Hello dude, aré you still preserve your ceriatone?. I just bought a clone Ceriatone JCM 800 2204 amplifier but it's too noisy, it happens that they only bought the kit already assembled completely, except the transformers and placed transformers classic tone but the person who sold it to me placed the power transformer and the output transformer parallel and not in 90 degrees as it should be done, this is what generates a lot of noise by the so called inductance. Thank U for your time, saludos desde México.
The distortion is compressed and muddy on the bottom. re tweaking necessary unless you like that. Didn't hear the beano tone.I will look for other vids thanks
Hi, I know thatbyoubalso have OTS 50. If you only can choose one between OTS 50 and JTM45/100, which one will you choose? (If ignored the factor of present from your wife) Can I get the OTS 50 tone when using pedal with JTM45/100 or vice versa? Which approch is better for both world? Thanks
Another misconception, ACDC didnt use a jtm45, they used a jtm50, which ceriatone also make, another awesome amp. Amazing playing by the way, glad I found this hidden gem of a channel!

I know I want an amp from ceriatone but I really don't know which now. I started out wanting the overtone 50 and I flip flopped through the catalogue he has since.
That 66 strat was also magical
I've got 3 Ceriatone products and I can tell you whatever you end up with you will be extremely happy
Thank you! Yes I still have it 🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@BuddyBlues I ordered one!! I couldn't take it, I really love the sounds... Hendrix and Black Keys and more, oh yes... thanks again, I've only watched your vid 100 times!! The wife's not happy but they say that builds character or something. Also, which tune are you playing at 18:00 min... sounds so familiar but couldn't figure it out.
Hola! Yes I have all my ceriatone products still they all work great
The distortion is compressed and muddy on the bottom. re tweaking necessary unless you like that.
Didn't hear the beano tone.I will look for other vids thanks
Hi,
I know thatbyoubalso have OTS 50. If you only can choose one between OTS 50 and JTM45/100, which one will you choose? (If ignored the factor of present from your wife)
Can I get the OTS 50 tone when using pedal with JTM45/100 or vice versa? Which approch is better for both world?
Thanks
Another misconception, ACDC didnt use a jtm45, they used a jtm50, which ceriatone also make, another awesome amp.
Amazing playing by the way, glad I found this hidden gem of a channel!
Auditive Therapy. Thank BB thanks Ceriatone ❤️🎸🪐
Yup...sounds like a Marshall. Nice playin!
Great playing man! I love the Marshall cleans, just gorgeous. Do you own or have played through other Marshall’s? I want to know if this is better than an actually jtm45 maybe or something else on Marshall’s line
Wow!
10:06 YEEES! Crank it to 11!
Are you going through a virtual cabinet through the OX or did you just attenuate a real 4/12?
Virtual Cab, I've run it through a 412 set up attenuated. And I've run it at full blast with a 412 set up. AND NOW THIS IS HOW I TALK BECAUSE IT WAS SO LOUD BUT SO GLORIOUS WHAAAAAAAT?
At the beginning you said you were going to play a '66 strat, but that is clearly not a Fender headstock. Please clarify. The amp sounds great.
Cool
Great playing Buddy, have you heard of the Metropoulos Metroplex 100? Another great plexi replica with JTM45/ 68 Superlead & modded ‘68 tones.
I see them on instagram and reverb all the time! Never played one though
