Generation Zero. Welcome to 1980's Sweden. The local population has disappeared, and hostile machines roam the streets fight off the hostile machines solo or with a team, scavenge for weapons and loot in the fight to survive and find out what or who caused all of this.
My gameplay walkthrough will include main missions kicking some robot ass safe house unlocks collectibles skill unlocks as we try to find out what went wrong, oh and any and all goodies we come across whilst playing !

I wouldn't normally comment on a video 6 months old but I'm fairly new to Gen Zero and been going through some of your older content as I've been playing, mostly looking for tips and info and wotnot. I realised that everything changed this year with some major updates and watching this I just had to say that your reaction to previous updates but this on in particular was brilliant mate, proper kid in a sweet shop stuff, love it!
Bots fighting each other, weapon wheel, resources from trees, Plundra upgrades. Awesome update and great job presenting it

Not liking the weapon wheel at the moment. A bit clunky. Died twice pressing Y and swapping between binoculars and flares.

The possibility for new bots and stuff in future updates too makes this even more exciting they did good by the looks of things
Looking forward to trying out the weapon wheel. It might finally encourage me to take the rocket launcher with me! I'd normally never use it, not even with EMP rounds, because it meant sacrificing a better option on my hot bar.
Not so sure about the base defence, though- the rewards already seem pretty pointless, and I'm concerned that they've balanced this mission particularly in favour of multiplayer. Heyho, we shall see when the update finishes downloading.
Yes dude!! Same here you can have an insane loadout now! And base defence has had some major changes alongside a new paid DLC its 10x better now

I currently only do it when I've got too many resources and am bored, because I'm yet to get a 6c bullet schematic that I'm even remotely interested in crafting- some of them are fun, but I feel like none of the ones I've found are worth the cost or are noticeably better than AP.
@@peterclarke7240 Shock ammo for whichever gun is pretty OP. At least it was before the update. Not sure if it has been nerfed a bit now or not. (Before the update I've taken down tanks and harvesters pretty quick with my exp glock with 9mm shock ammo.)
@@NisseHult101 Yeah.. I'd use it, but I have the PVG/KVM combo, so I never bother with the Klauke, or indeed anything else, because I can rinse pretty much anything using AP rounds.
I mean, that's kind of the problem with the game- the exp ammo would be much more effective if there wasn't a meta caused by the over-powered PVG/KVM combo
I'd personally like to see guns put into classes- heavy, medium, light, sidearm, and for them to them give you buffs/nerfs accordingly.
Being able to carry an anti-material rifle AND a squad support weapon, both of which are able to run AP ammo, with no nerf to your movement is a bit silly, when you think about it.
I love the way the machines fight each other that's like my favorite part. That's so cool 😎

Whoa! Base Defense has ramped up. I had two sniper towers disappear under me in a flash. One second I'm looking down, the next ...
This turned up in the GZ Forum. Looks like a glitch. The structures collapse when WE shoot.
It's quite interesting.
Finix vs Russia's machines.
Finix has a platoon worth of robots in plenty of classes.
While russia has two robots which are actually mobile bases for the smaller robots.

While there are some things in the patch notes I'm not too fond of - they've expanded the map checklist to tell you more about what you can find in what regions for example, which reeks of tentative steps towards Ubisoft open world design - ew - this is definitely an incredibly cool and impressively expansive update, awesome stuff.
The large new machine apparently is called wolf and the small ones are called lynx they're both named after animals
Those lynx do so much damage bruh
Best part is whenever I hear gunfire I quickly run over to get some action in

Nope it's part of the landfall update, just head to your plundra or material bench, open it and you'll see an option to upgrade it at the bottom.
I’ve always wondered does generation zero have like other players on the map that you can kill for their loot or is it not like that?
No dude its purely PVE you can play multiplayer but cant hear each other

I think the update whent well the fighting annoyes me though because when I'm miles away I am in combat then I'm excaped from combat but the music is still playing is it a bug in the update or is it supposed to happen

@@party_taco_pro4080 Get the schematics (they're on the map, so you don't have to pray to the RNG Gods), and then you'll be drowning in medkits.

@@party_taco_pro4080 Not at all! Wired Gaming's even done a helpful video on the subject. It's how I found all of mine, and now I don't even bother using basic medkits- if I find them in loot, I just scrap them for resources.
Just to be clear, it IS just coincidence that Russia is invading now in this game. Still fun to shoot.
