Not a Knights fan but I respect McCrimmon and his staff. He is ruthless when it comes to deals and sometimes I don't understand the method to his madness but he makes it work, he sees something in a player thst we dont. Trust this man.
There is a shelf life to that ruthlessness. There may be a flip happening where what once was the free agent destination becomes a non-starter for free agents. Those vibes can also trickle into the dressing room. We shall see.

@@bbsss99 and none of that really applies to Marchessault. I’m not even a fan of his, but he is coming off of a career high. The pure “it’s just business” mentality also ignores all the other factors that go into running a successful organization that will attract good people. Why did Skinner choose Edmonton over Vegas? He would have been an ideal substitute for Marchessault.
@@kftc1980Why would Vegas GM want to bring in someone who underperformed his entire career? There are 31 other teams he could have gone to also, are you telling me that the oilers have the best front office in the league? And apparently marchessault was offered 6.5X3 and he choose to walk away from it. And nashville was dumb enough to gave 34 yr old for 5 year contract. You really shouldn't be commenting on something that you have no clue about.
@@Lkjnn2287 Skinner was overpaid, that doesn’t mean he has underperformed. He has exceeded 30 goals 5 times. Who exactly is going to score goals for VGK now? Putting all your eggs in the Dorofeyev basket? That’s risky.
If you’re a fan and you’re pissed at management you were clearly just a bandwagon fan. This is nothing new Vegas isn’t the type of team to sign a 33 year old on a 5y 5.5 mil deal. It just doesn’t make sense for them. Aside from marchy there were a decent amount of depth pieces that did not resign but Vegas has proven that they can fill those depth roles with budget players. All I’m saying is things may look rough on surface level but until management gives you a real reason to jump ship and Vegas actually becomes a bad team. Wait until the darn season starts to judge and form real opinions based on results. As for vegas’ results in past I think we can all agree it’s been stellar so let’s trust in the people who haven’t let us down
I understand what you're saying but let's face it. We can still be fans and still hate the front office at the same time. The two are not mutually exclusive. I love the Golden Knights, but today I loathe the front office.
@@vegasrenieGo cheer for the preds then. Marchessault got greedy and left for a team that gave him more terms.. He could've signed 3 years deal here and resign after that. The guy didn't even bother to show up for softball game because he knew he was leaving. so what does that tell you about his character? I find it bizarre how people overreacting over some over the hill hockey player who doesn't give a flying f about them.
We get a full year of Pavel and get to see some other youngins get a shot. Might find the next diamond in the rough. To win again we need young talent on good contracts. If our big guys stay healthy we'll be ok.

Do what you have to do to keep winning,
