He’s always a step behind. I like the additions but these are the moves he should’ve made last offseason. Now he’s got gaping holes left behind from Skinner and Mitts and he says he’s happy with the roster. I’m still holding out hope that some players can be pried away from teams who are over the cap but if this is it, add another year to the drought. So many teams around us got better today.
Skinner was the gaping hole. All his goals didn’t matter with all the turnovers and defensive liabilities. It’s easy to say we needed to add last year but multiple players regressed and didn’t perform. We needed to see what still worked. We’re also not going to win a cup scoring most of our goals on the rush. This will be a good year to become a more gritty team.
@@bjarczyk JJ-Tage-Tuch Zucker-Cozens-Quinn Benson-Krebs-Greenway Malenstyn-Laff-AubeK That’s assuming Greenway can play his offwing. That’s at least 3 guys (Zucker, Krebs, Greenway) playing a line higher than they should be which seems to be Sabres tradition. Hopefully a rookie can win a job but who knows. They are a Tage or Cozens injury away from disaster. Wake me up when Kevyn gets that top 6 winger or 3rd line center he’s looking for.
In terms of pure skill, this team has plenty of it IMO. They need to put it together, some guys need to rebound, and we still need a few solid+ veterans. We should be more physical which could help. I agree that we’re very much a work in progress and it’s a guess on whether we take a meaningful step this year. I think we couldve been more aggressive last off-season but there was still some feeling out of the roster. It sucks, I want to be a legit team again, and it’s frustrating because we have talent (vs other periods when we just weren’t talented). Unless we make dramatic overpays, players we much rather choose other teams/ cities, and that’s the reality. Adams doesnt have many strong hands to play
If I have to hear this guy say one more time "I want players that wanna be here" my head is going to burst. Kevyn, that is quite literally the problem. No one does. Gonna be in this endless loop of bringing in 3rd and 4th line players for ridiculous overpays.
@@bjarczykeveryone wants him to spend to the cap so when we have our young players coming up for next deal they'll be walking out the door. I waited this long I could wait a little bit longer I don't want to just make the playoffs I want to be competitive in them. Let's face it Buffalo is a tough sell. Not only is it not a hot destination but it's also tax written
5 years with Adams and last year the big bummer. It’s looking half ass going into next season tbh. You have holes to fill. Maybe Ruff will tune up the boys and hold players accountable get some competitive flow going.
God Kevin so far so good. Do not repeat the mistakes of Jason and Tim Murray. When we get good we are going to need class a cheap labor specially with that 7 and 1/2 million dollar buyout hit in a couple years. I love Terry pegula but I hope he's keeping his distance. I don't want to see a top prospect go for some 29-year-old. I don't want to just make the playoffs and go yay swept in the first round. I waited 13 years I could wait a couple more to be a contender that's for sure.
Jesus Christ how hard would it be for you guys to set it up for us to hear the questions.

Everyone complained we need more grinders last year and we finally got it. Hitting will finally be back in Buffalo.

What Lindy said is we need a real top 6 forward and KA told him you take what I get so make Zucker work for you.
Adams you should be fired

can he be more dull and maybe wear a Sabres color i mean who bought him that shirt a blind person ?Shirt looks like its trying to escape lol
Mr Adams uses the word “conversation” a lot. He sounds somewhat indecisive and not confident
That does not provide me any confidence
Worse GM in sports period.
