Okay! You’ve got me hooked, now I have to make one as well. My board is smaller and scalloped but good enough to start with. My question is; can you use Kosher salt instead as long as the grain is bigger? Latex vs acrylic paint? Can’t wait to start the project!
You can use any type of salt, the bigger, the green, the more chippiness you’ll have and I get the best results with a latex paint, but it can work with acrylic

All the colours that I used on this project were just the tail end of containers that I had. Unfortunately I don’t know the exact color.

Yes, it will last for a little bit
Does it have to be latex paint or can acrylic be used?
I have the best results with leg tax paint, but you could try it with acrylic

OMG what a mess. And in between the pure wood looks so good. Not everything has to look "vintage". Some pieces are much nicer without coverage of thick paint. I love paints and colors though. That is not the question.
