S2000 Billman TCT Timing Chain Tensioner Replacement DIY

- In this video I show how I replaced the TCT with Billman version. Overall the job probably takes about 15mins with the right tools.

To access the pin, I had to slightly move the airbox out of the way, as I show in the video. I just removed the 3 bolts holding it down to the chassis, I did not remove any of the hoses/wires/sensor connections.
Some oil will come out when you remove the TCT, so make sure to wipe everything well, as headers are around that area and you don't want any burnt oil smells.
Torque specs:
Bolts on TCT to head are 10mm and torque on them is 8.7 lbs-ft or 12Nm.
Airbox 3x bolts that hold it to chassis are 10mm also, torque on them is hand tight (with a socket).
Maintenance hole through which you pull out the pin is an 8mm hex (looks like allen), torque on it is 22 lbs-ft or 29Nm.

Honda S2000 S2K TCT Timing Chain Tensioner Billman Noise Replacement
Subscribed! I'm thinking about doing the same thing on mine, but am weary about dropping that pin at the end. lol
The pin is so long that it is pretty much impossible that it will fall inside the engine. Go for it.
How many dalah for this Billman TCT? Maybe $600? If that high, I will just buy OEM again? My car has 113K miles and still original tensioner. It does not make noise.
From what I remember, I think it was like two hundred something dollars. He does some internal reinforcements, so worth getting his vs another oem one.

Do you have to set the engine to TDC before changing it??
No you don't, static tension on the chain is the same irrespective of crank position, TDC or not.
